  1. Thanks for the comments guys! Boyd - No, won't be seeing any of them, at least not from me for quite a bit, I don't know anything about those characters or these. After my next two scheduled groups I'm taking a little break from commissions again, I've noticed I've become a big slacker on them, but this time I plan to focus on doing some personal customs rather than the last one where I focused on nothing. Now for something completely different: Part 2 of this commission! This time we're looking at a small group of Yellow Lanterns! Specifically... Low Maash and Mongul (2.5") These guys were fun to make.
  2. It only just occurred to me that parts from these would be great for a Cervantes custom.
  3. Thanks for the comments guys! Mini_Myte: That is the Polaris hairpiece with some trimming and resculpting done. Bob: Thanks a lot! While all the characters did get their eyes filled in with red, only Vaughn, Scarlett Witch, Lord Mar-Vell, Adam Magus, and Giant Man have completely hand painted faces.
  4. So yeah, big commission time. This great big commission will be split up into two parts, part 2 will have 3 customers, part 1 has 8 These 8 are from something I've never heard of, the Revengers of Marvel's Cancerverse! Apparently they're evil versions of the Avengers, and I can always get behind some Alternate reality stuff. So here we go... Captain America Iron Man Thor Giant Man - 3" (his face creeps me out so much) Ms. Marvel Scarlett Witch Vaughn Adam Magus Lord Mar-Vell Whew...that was tough. Aaaaand group shot! Lots of pics, yeah. I spent so long on my knee taking pictures for this set of commissions that I've been aching for almost a week now. So note to self: get a taller table.
  5. Thanks for the comment! I'm not gonna lie, I'm making this post so that my next update gets put onto the next page (36), purely for the sake of convenience of comments and because its gonna have a lot of pictures.
  6. Hey! An update!? When I promised one like, a month or two ago? Yeah, it's not that update (that's reeeeaaal soon. Maybe tonight) It's my Charitymate submission, so you've probably seen it already! "Dr. Irwin B. Miceon" Dr. Irwin B. Miceon's (Mice•ee•on) colleagues called him mad. Dr. Miceon called his colleagues a bunch of yellow bellied, [EXPLETIVE DELETED], cowards. He knew you couldn't let trivial things like public safety get in the way of your work, but the scientific community prevented him from conducting even his least lethal tests. Hearing of the great prize promised in The Tournament of Fighters, Dr. Miceon resolved to win. Knowing he's at a physical disadvantage against a group of mystical being and great warriors, Miceon uses his powers of SCIENCE! to take down those who get in his way; the most notable being the MiceonCo. Red-Powered Wrist-Mounted Negative Electromagnetic Resonance Inducer®, which emits a powerful blast of destructive red energy! With this technology, Dr. Irwin B. Miceon plans to take over the world So yeah! B. Miceon essentially came about after playing Portal 2 and seeing the Lego Mad Scientist. His backpack and gun is a mish mash of parts I had lying around. That's not real liquid in the backpack to gun tube, it's dried clear red paint.
  7. ^Man does not know what a pencil mustache looks like. And that gives me an idea, if I had more time/motivation... A new fighter approaches....THE CREEP!
  8. Love it, very creative! I'm glad I didn't go with a boxer type, as it would have been pale in comparison (I realized it was just gonna be Dudley from SFIII)

  10. Mine's done! Pics tonight, shipping tomorrow, possibly Monday.
  11. I'm also surprised you're just revealing this now, except I didn't know about it before. Looks like a great way to drive up viewers and spread the word about customizers. Also I'm a big fan of the "What did you like best" feature.
  12. I'm very proud of that last one, I thought for sure the McRib would be taking it this year.
  13. Oh wow, thanks for the votes everyone, and congrats to everyone! I'm gonna treat this like an award show here and thank some people, specifically Punisher for commissioning Hellboy and Boba Fett, and BrobotC for commissioning and assisting in the rather difficult design process of Big Daddy (he should also win something for making the kid-sized Minimate that was used to make the Little Sister) As for how long it took for the results to go up, no worries. I can fully understand any delay there might have been (just ask anyone who's gotten a commission from me )
  14. Oh. Just read the whole thing on licensed characters. I plan on having a character that plays on a common fighting game trope, but I think I'll be naming my character B.Miceon
  15. Hey, that's a good idea, Bob. It'd of course be up to Luke, as it would mean more photography for him once he has all the entries. I was starting to wonder if we should be keeping track of what everyone plans to do, like way back in charitymates 1 (maybe the others too, I didn't participate) to make sure we don't wind up with duplicates. In this case duplicates of the same fighting game stereotypes. Though that could just add to it, because fighting games are known for their clone characters.
  16. Congrats everyone! And thanks for the votes!
  17. Thanks for the tip baghead, I'll give that a shot. I think that's what happened with Larfleeze, which came out far less tacky.
  18. Wow! I'm lame! For more info, I'm using Smooth-On brand OOMOO 30 to make the purple molds. It's simply amazing and easy to use. You can buy it here: http://www.dickblick.com/products/smooth-on-oomoo-30-silicone/ Look to see if you got a Dick Blick store near you if you're interested, I picked mine up at the one in Boston. There's also an OOMOO 25, which dried much fast, but I couldn't find it anywhere near me and I've grown to like the somewhat lengthy pot life of the 30. The resin I'm using is EasyCast clear casting epoxy by Castin'Craft. I wouldn't recommend it really.
  19. I probably could tell, I just don't like to say what I'm working on I'll say they're all evil, and a few are yellow. But, speaking of something I'm working on....something I'm working on! Remember Larfleeze? With the sculpted head? Yeah, I lost it. Luckily I did this before losing it: And how about the Maxx? Yeah, trying casting. The mold making stuff is awesome, but I'm kinda iffy on the resin I picked up (read: the cheapest I could find) I think it's more meant for mimicking water for people that make fake flower arrangements. It takes a very long time to cure, and will still be tacky for a while after that, though the mix on Larfleeze dried quite a bit quicker, I might have mixed it better. Now, I'm not saying I'll be making copies of all my sculpted parts just yet, but I'm also not saying it'll never happen. Hopefully I'll have customs next week or so.
  20. I believe you can count me in. I'm cool with Ninjas, or samurai, though I do question the stereotype of it. Donny, I think going Alien Ninjas would be too specific. There's no reason somebody couldn't do alien ninjas with just a general ninja theme, I personally was considering a robot ninja.
  21. Good luck if you try to get any of them out. Not to be a Debbie Downer, but I think I have the same stuff, and I tested it out by pouring a bit into a Minimate slipover mask, which I destroyed when removing the solid piece. But, on a positive note, Civil War Cap also looks really good in the ice.
  22. Unsuccessful Live Action Marvel Through the Ages! Reb Brown Captain America! Dolph Lundgren as the Punisher! The Thing from Roger Corman's Fantastic 4! Spider-Man from Spider-Man Turn off the Dark!
  23. I'm still holding out for Squirrel Girl through the ages. 1st Appearance Modern/GLA Animated Summer Issue Bikini
