  1. Thanks guys. I'm trying to be careful with what I pick up - I can go the completist route WWWAAAAYYY too easily if I'm not careful, and I just don't need more than one batman or superman. I have Cassie - picked her up at my LCS last week, and have a Darkseid and Mongul on the way. I'm trying to decide how far to go - it would be nice to get a good rogues gallery, but I'm a little "meh" over the Joker and Two-face sculpts. Plus when Universe comes out, I don't want the display too swamped with Batman stuff. Anyway, enough of my rambling. Thanks for the list, I'll go hunt for pictures Jo
  2. Hi guys, I'm going to pick up the DC universe 6" line when it comes out, but I want to pad out the collectin with a few of the Superman nad Batman figures. Does anyone know if there is a definintive list up with pictures? I've had a quick look, but haven't found much so far. Thanks if you can find me one. Jo
  3. Yer added matey. Possibly anyway - there are a lot of Luis Barrios' on there. And I'm not a terrorist. Just send me your address or GPS co-ordinates and I'll come around and explain... Jo
  4. Agreed, since resigning I actually now have several people on my ignore list, just so I can browse the board without the moronically crap necroposts and "me toos!" Me too! Actually, I just use "view new posts" and see what catches my fancy. I'll read the reviews, occasionally troll the intro area and look for any topics I've been involved in, but that's it. Jo
  5. No worries matey I'm ready to open my arms to one and all. Just expect to get bombed. Jo
  6. That's true - Winkerbean's LCS are very good at getting them in at a good price. All I have is a Forbidden Planet, which haven't had ANY DC mates at all. Ever. Plenty of places online as well if you're stuck locally. Jo
  7. okey dokey guys, you're in. As is Warren Ellis (yes, him), which made me giggle for a while. Jo
  8. Hi folks. The other half and a few friends have finally bullied me into joining facebook. I wasn't going to, but they left me with no choice. If anyone is interested and wants to add me, search for Joseph Throssel (one 'L', the other guy isn't me, though we have been talking) If you don't then please don't feel the need to read any of this. Go get something to eat or something. Jo
  9. Should be. Emphasis on should. It's been a bit random when we get them over here. Best way is to speak to your local comic shop Take care, Jo
  10. Heheh, I seem to be doing a few of these - issue 2 was out last week I'm a little dubious, but then I don't know the Avengers as well as I know the Transformers. It's been entertaining enough so far. Jo
  11. Dan, Grand Theft America was out in comic shops same week as in the States. For normal book shops, amazon, book depository and waterstones all have it on their websites as in stock (waterstones you have to search for ultimates 2 2), which hints you may be able to get it from their brick and mortar shops. Hope that helps, Jo
  12. No - that's not what the internet is about. Jo
  13. General question - for those of us in the rest of the world, what alternatives do we have for picketing Target? Thanks, Jo
  14. Hmm. Book Depository are great in the UK - but they'll be more expensive than you can get them in your country. I've used Mile High Comics a few times - they're better for single issues, but I've picked up plenty of TPBs from them as well. Corner Store Comics or Graham Crackers comics have both been pretty good when I've ordered from them. Alternatively, ebay can be a good cheap place. Find yourself a power seller that specialises in TPBs and you'll probably get a pretty good service. Usual ebay warnings apply though. Hope that helps matey, Jo
  15. Come in and have fun. Oh, and always remember: Andy is real, Ady isn't Jo
  16. I wouldn't want to pay more for it, but then I'm not American. Of course, I'd still buy the figures because I want the minimates, but I'm not that bothered where they come from. They'll still cost less than they get sold over here for. Well, at least the delays mean my wallet's hospital stay was shorter than expected. Take care, Jo
  17. Ok, a minor apology - Parcelforce's drivers (or at least one of the ones that delivers to us) are pretty decent. Got my botcon set this morning - he left it in the recyc box while we were out walking the dogs. Doesn't make the company any better, but thank you, mr. driver. Jo
  18. Parcelforce are Bastards. I had a letter last tuesday to say I had a customs charge to pay (which is bad enough - £50/$100 extra for a toy I've already paid £200 for). Paid straight away through the website, which said it would be delivered on the Wednesday. Thursday night I call to find out where my toys are - "you've got a charge to...oh, you've already paid it." Said the toys would be at my local post office on friday, because, although we have a secure location to leave parcels, they won't. Firday is of course the only day I can get to mt post office, because we leave work a half hour early. I rush in, all excited, to find out that it hasn't been delivered. Couldn't get to the post office tonight, and won't be able to until friday. And no, they don't answer the phone if I call. Grrr. Jo
  19. Hi, and welcome to the forums. They're a pretty nice bunch. Mostly. Watch out for the English guys though, they're mean. Especially Ady, he's a real troublemaker. I'm surprised they haven't banned him yet. Jo
  20. Can someone quickly clear the Ultimate Wolverine height deal for me? I understood that he was 6ft in the Ultimate universe, but I've just read Hard Lessons and he's his usual lopped-off self. Have I got it wrong or is this one of those bad editorial decsions? Thanks, Jo
  21. Welcome to the Multiverse - can't help you with the banners, but have fun here. Jo
  22. Hi folks. For those of you who know DC stuff well, can you answer me a couple of questions regarding the above? For all of these I could do with an issue number and name of a trade if possible. First, when did Jim Corrigan stop being the Spectre? Second, if the answer isn't the same as the first, when did Hal Jordan become the Spectre? Third, is the Jim Corrigan who was in Gotham Central the same as the one who was the Spectre? If so, when and why did he become such an arsewipe? Thanks in advance to anyone who can answer, Jo
