  1. GOT MINE!!!! I went to Lake Tahoe for the holiday weekend. No Snow!!!! Grrrr. Didn't even need to wear my snow clothes. Anywho, onmy way home to the Bay Area, we stopped at a random mall, just to get out and stretch, and they actually had a Suncoast. They had about 5 packs on the hook. I had to go all the way to the back box to find one that did not look like the tape was ripped off. It was still about two hours away from my house, so I did not want to take the risk of any of my cylons being switched or missing. They were all in there when I got back to the car. Finally the BSG collection has begun.
  2. Man, I am with you!!!! How can they say Lego guys are better when they don't even have knees or elbows? And we have waaaaaaay better characters than Lego will ever get. I like to use Legos for building, but for people, I go MM all the way!!!
  3. Well, did you shove those pennies up his nose or what?
  4. Are you saying I'm unattractive?! Depends, are you 112? I don't know of many people over 100 who are particularly attractive.
  5. Excellent!!!! I love stop motion movies. Especially MiniMate based. Do you have any storylines made, or are you flying by the seat of your pants? PS, that is a sizable collection. They look ready to get put into a movie.
  6. Being newer to the scene, I don't know, but has any MM ever been made with a removable mask, but nothing underneath? I have not run across any in my collection. I would not imagine that they would do that to us. It is cool to think thought that with these new DC MM, we may just get the two faces of Batman. Nobody wants to see Batman smile, he is not supposed to be cute for goodness sakes. But at the same time, we don't necessarily want to see Bruce frowning. There are going to be lots of new DC girls for him to mack on, so he cannot always be frowning.
  7. I for one am happy for these Spider-man box sets/waves, or whatever they are going to be called IF they are going to be mass market sets. With Spider-man 3 coming out, kids and adults will eat up anything with a spider on it's chest, so these MM should sell well as long as people can easily find them. These people, who may not be MM collectors, will look at the toys, play with the toys, and at some point, there will be new MM collectors born who will, just like I did, eat up anything they can get their hands on, and be excited for future releases.
  8. I like to play with my Minimates, which I know there are many on this site that do. I like to pose them, take their helmets on and off. I like to just move their parts. The problem I am having is when other people touch them. It freaks me out when other people come over to my house and start playing with them... much in the same manner that I do. I don't know if I am afraid that they will break them, or just the fact that someone else is touching my toys. Does anyone else have this problem? Maybe I just need to join MM anonymous.
  9. I think you misread the thread CR, people were skeptical up to about September of 2006 - I think everyone can see how bright the future looks. I guess I did not mean skeptical. I am thinking more cautious. I get a lot of "yeah, well see" going on since there were long waits, cancellations, and no shows. I don't want to sounds like people at poopooing the ideas that are coming out. I think there is a major hype rising here as we get closer to the release of many lines, and the prospect of lots more coming up. Who cannot get excited when we have been shown the first 5 waves of DC, as well as be able to preorder them. Not to mention seeing a sneak peek of Back to the Future, a virtual left field hit that I think left a lot of mouths open.
  10. I am surprised not to see a comment about Brainiac 13. He is not my favorite, nor one I was really looking forward to, but those are a pretty cool set of tentacles coming out from his back. He looks like a good choice to team up with Battle-Damaged Superman.
  11. I can see why some of the older members are skeptical right now about the future. You guys came out of a very dark age, that luckily I missed. I do want to say that the mass market stuff does work. I did not know what Minimates were until I saw them at Target, and needed to get my hands on a few, and now in only a month and a half I am 50+ figures in and near $200, as well as pre-ordered DC Waves 1-4 and BSG Wave 1, not to mention a desire to buy most of the other stuff coming out. If that doesn't say success, I don't know what does. I am glad to see that 2007 looks so bright for the sakes of all of the negative comments that were left in this thread.
  12. I will buy them just on the fact of how different they are. These little guys are gross, and missing parts, and bloody. At the same time, they look to be very well detailed, and would be fun to have in strategic places around the house. "Sorry Honey, those darn zombies wandered into the bathroom again."
  13. so that's just not me then.... I didn't say anything but.... too T. I am so with you guys on that one.
  14. No love for Nina Myers? heck she even comes with her own chains... T. Oh, yeah, got to get me some of those chains. Since I don't watch 24, I don't know any of the character's names other than Jack. Guess I will have to start getting the previous seasons to watch.
  15. No particular order: 1. Elisha Cutbert '24' 2. Eva Mendez 'Ghost Rider' 3. Tricia Helfer 'BSG' 4. Power Girl 'DC' 5. She-Hulk 'Marvel' 6. Hawk Girl 'DC' 7. Lea Thompson 'BTTF' 8. Katee Sackhoff "Starbuck" 'BSG' 9. Wonder Woman 'DC' 10. Scarlet Witch 'Marvel'
  16. Would you give Hannibal a face to wear of the guard's face he cut off to escape? Oh, it would be sweet to see Clint Eastwood mate-ified. The rest seem a little too obscure, even with some of the new stuff coming out. I am sure they were made just to stir up interest and discussion, as it has done. OOoooooh, how about a Predator line? That would be pretty cool. Then add in an Alien line and you can recreate the Superman/Batman/Predator/Aliens comic that is out.
  17. Keep your hands off of my Elisha!!!
  18. 1. That is a really cool character. I would be sad if there really were only a few around. I could not spend that much money on a character that we know we will already see in both of the first two waves. 2. Printed chest piece or not, there are still sleeves on the arms. So unless everyone has to buy an extra sleeveless character, there will be no reason to take off the jacket. Though, that just about sounds like the right kind of thing for AA to think about so they may actually make more money off of the people buying an extra set in order to get bare arms... unless someone goes on e-bay and sells all of their minimate arms painted flesh color.
  19. I don't even watch 24 and I want these figures. They look soooo good. Possibly some of the best accessories ever for minimates. Chains, and guns, and stretchers. Oh My!!
  20. I really like that new packaging... guess it is not really "new" since it is the first wave for DC. It is very reminicent of the early Marvel waves. I really like seeing the characters before I buy. There is no surprise as to what you get in a nice carded bubble. Boy, those Hawks are very cool. I think they are going to be the figures to rate other figures against. Wings, masks, and a weapon. Pretty much covers all of the bases.
  21. There are definately some really nice figures coming out soon. Boy am I lucky I joined in the collecting in January. That gave me a little over two months to try and get some of the past MM. I have spent some $200 in the past month really building my collection. These new sets are going to be a really fun additon. I like the Zombies, some of the X-Men, and the next wave of Marvel after those. I want that cool tower they had set-up there with some of the older mates hanging around. Guess it is time to go to the mall and see what the LEGO store can provide.
  22. Some nice looking ladies in the upcoming waves. I still can't figure out how they can take the same bodies and make some tough looking men and some beautiful women.
  23. I am so so so so so so so so so so so excited about this line. This is one of my favorite movie series ever!!! I have to have them!!! I love Marty in his "life preserver" Haha! All of those figures and notification of more figures from the other two movies. We could wind up with the principal with a shotgun from part 2. Wild West Marty anyone?? How about one inch Jules and Vern? (the two boys that Doc has at the end on his flying train). Let's see what could be next Gremlins? Goonies?
  24. Yeah, keep us updated. I have a few ships I would like to display. I hope these work, they look pretty cool, and do not take away much from the look of the display vehicle.
  25. How cool. We get Eva Mendes with the GR figures, and then Elisha Cuthbert with the 24 figures. I will definitely be picking those two up, and some of the others from the sets look like good random people.
