Beyond the Gorn and Sleestaks, I'm not familiar with a lot of live-action lizard men. I just for the impression that they were staying away from the miniature Godzilla Lizard and sticking closer to his first appearance. I can understand not liking the look but that doesn't really have anything to do with how it's rendered. I'm more comparing it to the dinosaurs in Jurassic Park which came out, what, close to twenty years ago. The special effects for ASM took me out of the movie everytime the Lizard was on screen. Doc Ock in the second Raimi movie, in comparison, looked great.

Raimi 2 ASM Raimi 1 Raimi 3 I put them in that order. What I felt the second Raimi movie got right was the villian and the special effects. My biggest complaint with ASM was the CGI Lizard.

Silver Surfer should be good based on the art alone.

I love the idea but wish the mates were included as a promo for a better product. The movie looks bad and as much as I want a hulkbuster I'm not buying a movie I don't want to watch let alone own to get a minimate.

Found these at an LCS in Boston. Price went up to $22.99 but still a very good looking set, feels like a lot of accessories. It's heavy in your hand.

I don't see the age thing as a problem at all, you need to accept the sliding timescale of comics as a genre convention. I think the bigger problem is that they keep introducing new generations of mutants then after their books die off they fade into the background. Rinse and repeat. Or they create a bad story to get rid of those secondary characters. "No more mutants." And then they create another bad story to undo the previous bad story.

Mallrats is the only one I kind of liked and I only kind of liked it.

I want these more than I want Marvel Wave 16.
