  1. Yup, nothing I've seen so far has implied "90% confirmed." Still keeping fingers crossed for something classic.
  2. Most of the time, Ultimate stuff has been packaged together. I believe the only time it hasn't is when Ultimate Spider-Woman was packaged with the Vault Guard way back. I like when they're not mixed because I'm just not interested in Ultimate stuff at all. That's just me, I don't like having to buy an Ultimate figure to get a 616 figure. I quit collecting Legends when they started making you have to buy movie figures to complete BAF'S. I just think it's better to group that stuff together since somebody buying an ultimate version wouldn't mind getting another ultimate character, where as it might not hold true the other way. I thought Venom was meant to be purple in the Ultimate U, is that supposed to be an Ultimate Venom?
  3. Pulp Fiction will be the first tIme I venture outside of Marvel. So excited for these.
  4. I liked Age of Ultron better when it was Age of Apocalypse.
  5. I hope not. Lets get some variety.
  6. No interest here. Wouldn't mind at all if we never see Angela.
  7. I wouldn't be surprised to see a corresponding hero set, we've seen themed sets in two's quite a bit.
  8. Marvel's Songbird and Marvel's Onslaught! Noooo! LOL. So I guess that copyright issue applies to minimates now too? And that's actually not Zemo 1 and 2, there's been like 12 of them. Nitpicking. I'm super excited about this wave. Easily my pick for best of the year so far.
  9. Hoping for some classic Marvel. I haven't been interested in any of the new reveals, glad to hear this is not "now" themed.
  10. Doubtful as he's an average sized guy. Would probably get some type of shoulder piece to represent his armor.
  11. I also like that they're all different colors.
  12. I pay no attention to the movie stuff, so that one's news to me. Thanks!
  13. My guess is that the previous Hulks that had sculpted toes also had the bottom portion of tattered pants on the same foot piece. Since this Hulk's pants end above his knees, that just wouldn't work. Besides Thing, I don't think there are any large foot pieces that have sculpted toes. Could just be a cost saving measure?
  14. A little odd that Hulk doesn't get the "toe" feet. No real surprises but everything looks solid. Will we be getting stands for these?
  15. Use the hot water trick. Freezing works for tight joints, but I've been through a few of these and it's not a tight joint issue, the paint from the joint sticks inside the head. I've boiled three of these so far and none have broken. Good luck.
  16. To clarify, TRU 17 is not "The Wolverine" 'mates since movie series are not numbered?
  17. Don't kill anyone, we're getting Reapers. Recipe: Weapon X body with plain hands Secret War Cap head Captain Britain hair Moloid loincloth AOA Sabretooth wrist covers Wave 28 Deadpool ankle pouch Spear from Mirage Knife from FA Punisher
  18. The kid characters aren't popular enough to get made MMao, so your just letting pieces not be usedCome on. You don't know any of the characters I named so I made your point? I think that's a bit of a cop out. The kids I named are probably the most recognizable Marvel-kids. I can name a hundred more who aren't anywhere near as recognizable If you want me to, but I'm not going to since that's an entirely different topic. Just because there's tools in the tool shed, that doesn't mean they HAVE to be used. They should be used where appropriate. And no, I never had a problem with the bulked up 'mates.EDIT: If I saw it would like it? Sorry, nobody can tell me what to like. I have no problem with somebody offering a different opinion, but only I can say what I like and don't like. I don't like a Wolverine with child proportions.
  19. We haven't seen any for Marvel yet. But potentially: Franklin Richards The two younger Power siblings. I think Alex and Katie could get away with slipper feet since they're older. Molly Hayes Leech Artie Maddicks Tons more but those immediately came to mind.
  20. Quick Ka-Zar custom. We REALLY need an official release DST! I need to work on backgrounds but for a QC I'm very happy with how he came out.
  21. Agreed. Another option would be to pack-in an extra pair of legs, like we often get the extra set of arms or hands. That doesn't seem viable, because the extra parts we usually get are just display options. We've gotten height options on characters like Ant Man, but that's his whole gimmic. Keep short characters to kids and extreme cases like Puck. Also, I'd like to raise awareness for more bulked up characters, most importantly, Lizard with a sculpted head, and Abomination. We should be worrying about this way more. Yes. Something similar came up a while back regarding Spider-Man masks. The debate of slip-on masks vs masks tampo'd on a normal head. Somebody suggested that a future Spider-Man include both options (the same mask design) to keep both crowds happy, and I remember Zack saying they wouldn't do that. Alternate "looks" would be done, but not alternate "look preferences." Pretty much ties into what is being discussed here.
  22. I think "he's taller than Cyclops" and "he's taller than Cyclops because of his mask" are two different things. When you have a scale as small as Minimates to work with, you're going to run into those sort of things with masks, helmets, horns, afros, etc. Wolverine and Cyclops are both adults so I have no problem with them using the same body type. As far as Hulk/Thing, Hulk is absolutely taller than Thing in comics canon. You'll notice Hulk gets torso risers in his newer mates where Thing does not. Thing is actually normal height, many toy lines confuse height with mass and make him unnecessarily tall. DST did too with the TRU8 Thing which got a torso riser, however that was right before we got bulked-up mates. Once the bulked-up Mates were commonplace, the riser was gone from Thing.
  23. Its a proportion thing more than anything else. Is Logan short? Yes, 5'3" is pretty short for a guy. But he's not a midget, child, dwarf, etc. If he's given the Peter Pan arms and legs, he would look like a kid in a Wolverine Halloween costume standing next to other 'mates. The scale should only be tampered with in extreme situations. I think the bulked up minimates have been handled very well so far. If we ever see Power Pack or Franklin Richards in the Marvel line, then by all means I would like to see the new arms and legs used. Its either that or those characters get the unarticulated treatment like Snarf. Puck came a year too early, he would definitely be a candidate for the new limbs. But not full grown adults, regardless how short they are. Again, it's more of a proportion thing. Logan is short, but he's a full grown man. If we start adjusting things on normal adults, how far do we go? Do we need to redo Namor to make him taller than Black Cat? Captain America is supposed to be taller than Spider-Man, do we change them? Minimates shouldn't be complicated in that way. My two cents.
  24. No offense, but if people are so concerned about scale and anatomy, there's several other toylines out there to collect. Minimate aesthetic should only be tampered with in extreme circumstances. Fussing over minor differences is IMO ridiculous.
