  1. Torchwood has become one of the most entertaining Sci-Fi shows on TV although I haven't caught the season's finale yet. Russell T. Davies has breathed new life into the whole Dr.Who franchise after years (decades) of inactivity & lethargic false-starts. I have one problem however which does not stem from homophobia which I do not suffer from . The problem I have is the amount of scenes & references thought necessary to highlight Jack's sexuality. I find this all but incomprehensible ,..... Jack's gay or bi or whatever.....am I bovvered ! We all know that Torchwood has been infiltrated & not just by aliens. If sexuality of the characters is supposedly so important to us (the viewers) why has every alien the Doctor & Torchwood ever encountered been obviously lacking in genitalia? I am not the founder member of 'Dangly Bits for Daleks Club' or 'The CyberGirls' nor do I want any particular relationship between caring people minimalised but this is so hypocritical. Dr.Who mates.............but with whom?
  2. Those are fantastic! Did you just attach magnets to their capes? (They'll go well with my LEGO magnetic figures.) They're actually sticking to the fridge with their "magnetic personalities" . Nah... they were actually taped on. Are you positive++++++++
  3. I thought exactly that. I reckon I'll do a boot swap with a spare Movie Iron Man. Ker-high-st Dan you've got tiny feet
  4. I think that's the problem, her acting skills ( or lack thereof) leave her incapable of being anything but Catherine Tate. She doesn't even have the 'cute factor' that Kylie, Rose or Martha had to fall back on! I guess I'm prepping for the worst... T. I would have no problem 'falling back' on Rose,Martha or Kylie,or Kylie,or Kylie,or Kylie,or Kylie,or Kylie,or Kylie. I do actually find Tate funny but she is a bit of a munter, I do however feel that this is the 'golden time' for Doctor Who ,whether we realise it or not. I love Kylie & would happily donate
  5. The cliche would be 'Am I bovvered',but I am. I respect your concerns but hey, forget she's C.Tate & believe she's the Doctor's new assistant. Try! I totally agree with your observations on the shite Xmas spec. but every actor (actress) is judged by the material given ! As for Martha
  6. I saw the thread headline & half expected a photo of me
  7. Uh... thanks for sharing that.... I think... OK, not really. Sorry you don't like BSG (or Buffy or Angel or Dr. Who)... would you like me to call Dr. Phil to help you work this out and give you a big hug? Since Britney canned him, I hear he's got some time open. Shhhhhh......... Does anyone hear this? It is a post from someone that no one gives a shit about! Instead of calling Dr.Phil, why don't you call the "Get a Life Foundation" and see if they will donate to your "I'm 40 and still type about toys", ***. The show sucks, that was just my opinion and you are now officially a ****** for this wack post. Why don't you try to understand the difference between an opinion and a personal attack to the show that has obviously influence your meaningless life. Relax, ***. It is just an opinion. WW4M I have never............ .........seen an episode of the BSG current series .........enjoyed the original BSG series .........played Street Fighter or Speed Racer .........heard of 50% of the DC range of characters I do however enjoy the opinions of people in this forum who have one thing in common ....... Minimates. If.... you make it to 40 & can still enjoy toys, then I can assure you that your life was not meaningless & you will be able to 'Relax' . In the meantime would you please realise that verbally abusing someone on the internet is 'not big & clever' even if you are a fully-growed-up 28 year old, mind you, apologising would show you've got real 'stubble on your chin' . I am 53 years old , I love toys & would only type something that I would happily convey to the recipient in person............my scars prove it
  8. Absolute deal! Trouble is one Sentinel (especially when the first cost a tenner) is never enough
  9. I am old. I occasionally 'hang out' with 'old people' who don't have a clue about my 'revered' collection . They look at 'the revered' & then they smile. Smiling is OK but smirking is BAD. One less old person to be bothered with. I won't knock Lego, they ain't Minimates & they ain't for me but........they ain't old people.
  10. Welcome .I'll see you in the morning as always. Take care & watch out for cereal murderers !
  11. Nothing weird there . Wolverine drinks Tennents Super ?
  12. Welcome to one of our newest members( who is lurking tonight ) his/her name is chinese chicken. Welcome to the Multiverse ,chinese chicken I guess you'll keep abreast of things here before posting otherwise you'll get a good roasting by some of the more right-wing, fowl-mouthed members here trying to feather their own nests. My advice is to duck these comments & for goodness sake don't brood, after all I here you're a good lay  bhm would like to offer an immediate apology to you chinese chicken & anybody else I have hopefully offended
  13. It's odd to see people list TV shows that I have never even heard of but that's a consequence of my age & where I live. To be honest I looked at my list again. It must be said that 'what seemed great at the time' often seems a tad disappointing even though it's 'digitally re-mastered,enhanced etc.etc.' when you watch it again for the first time in years on DVD. This is especially true IMO with comedy.I watched Monty Python as a teenager when it first aired on BBC2 & needless to say 'pissed myself'.Many years later when I was in the US ,people were continually referring to Mon Tea Pie Thon & 'how much we love British humor in the US' , trouble was by then I was into the 'Young Ones' & had almost(almost) tired of repeats of 'Fawlty Towers'! I think the point which I'm perhaps trying to make is that despite our memories of 'best ' & 'great' shows there is nothing quite like watching a new episode of a great new show. The show that currently personifies this is Lost,it's cult, incomprehensible & ridiculed in some quarters but to me it's class. If I had the chance to watch anything I wished for on TV tonight,it would be a new episode of Lost. Yall reckon Sawyer knows TM2 Dinobot?
  14. That's Black Cat with Spider Woman's hair, Jean Gery with Wolverine's hair, and Kingpin with Magneto's (or Cable's) hair. Not to mention Iron Fist with a combo of Dr. Fate's and Cyclop's legs. Currently available from the 'Miximator' on ebay, further details in the recent ebay thread http://cgi.ebay.com/MINIMATES-8pc-MINIMATE...1QQcmdZViewItem
  15. That's better,a mere 13 seconds out now GMT.Thankyou.
  16. I'm not sure if it's anything to do with maintenance but the 'time' is an hour behind,in the UK we put our clocks forward an hour today for BST.
  17. You may well have switched thumbnails but the poor guy looks like he's switched kneecaps
  18. Oh absolutely! Charlie Sheen, Willem Dafoe, Johnny Depp, Tom Berenger? Endless possibilities. It's probably the closest we'll ever get to a SM movie "Green Goblin"...of course it will be without the costume. Still, a cool set even if you don't care for the film. Personally, I know I'll be working on some Major Jeague Minimates! Who played the part of Major Jeague?
  19. Santa Spidey which was about $24 + shipping from US.
  20. Platoon is a great film Dan & one of the best films made about the Vietnam War. As a Minimate collector I look forward to the box-set's release along with Silence of the Lambs......good,wholesome characters apart from the occasional serial murderer & rapist.
  21. No ,I'm happy with my Mitsubishi Evo 8 Sorry,I just can't help it.......DSLR= Digital Single-lens reflex....right? I know zilch about cameras, all I know is that my Sony Cyberman Shot Mk2. won't take photos like 'what you take'. Enlighten me please .
  22. It's like the really cheesy porn of the 80's when all the women had red high heels and the men had white knee socks pulled all the way up. Ooops, perhaps I've said too much...... I saw this last night having come home from the pub....so funny I've just re-read the comments & who made them .....notably rodbender & new goblin...Rod Bender has got to be the name of the bloke who HAD the white knee socks & I believe new goblin was an innovative way of pleasing his co-star Then I noticed the avatars that accompany each post & is it just me but they all look furtive(esp.Fujis) or voyeuristic (Mini-myte etc.etc.) ? Imagine each of the avatars as they apparently watch 'Mates er...um...er mating I am just friggin' creasing up with laughter....even ol' Huckleberry's racing to (or from) the scene.....too much. ....... & what the hell is karamazov(his )monkey doing....I know
  23. I hit the link, started reading & went from 'totally disinterested' to 'totally mesmerised' . The use of profane language never bothers me but there was the constant use of one word, by DMX & in peoples' comments ,that does. In this country I would be arrested if I used it & deservedly so . It just ain't necessary. Apart from that ,hugely entertaining & enlightening.
  24. The X-Files has got to be in any top ten ,well it's in mine. CSI, Lost,Twin Peaks,Heroes,Thunderbirds,Dr.Who,The Avengers,Man from Uncle, Tellytubbies*,The Simpsons,The Prisoner,Firefly,Dad's Army are not my Top Ten (or 13) but they would all be contenders. These days US shows lead the way! *Of course I was joking
  25. I am in awe of your photos & began to think that maybe I'd update my camera & go for your spec. I just got the price...& I'm now in awe of that. I guess the photos themselves speak volumes as to the capability of the camera & it's user. Pete what do you use? Ivan's Database photos are also sensational ,I wonder what gear he uses? Maybe I'll open a new thread?
