Crazy=me. Beware the assumption that if you buy unopened,single blind-boxed Kubricks that you will perhaps possibly/probably find a chase/secret. The Star Wars Kubricks chase figures( for example) will be placed in certain (very)specific 'normal' figure boxes at random. A canny seller will know this & your chances of getting chases are zero. I'm sorry about the cynicism but I've learnt the hard way & I am only telling it like it is . Buy 'sealed' cases ,accumulate your set & sell off the surplus. It is Multi-level marketing.

Dan I think TBT may have had a premonition but do I detect a softening of your opinions towards Tate? IMO she has actually made this current series, I like her a lot.

I emailed DST after reading this & the only thing that they could confirm about 'rarity of Minimates' is that the 'rarest 'mate of all 'is the 'Free Comic Book Day' white blank .

I was lucky (?) enough to buy the bulk of my SW & Marvel Kubricks from a 'get out' collector & I have subsequently strived to keep the collections complete. I am currently negotiating Series 8 (9 figures),the latest carded toy fair exclusive (1 figure) & a boxed set (Speeder bike + figure).........Optimistically $750 + shipping! It's insane. Oh yeah ,Series 9 has been heralded

All new Minimates are welcome, especially Marvel . Most everything I would have said has been said but the inclusion of the mooted Black Spidey bodes ill . Of course all Minimate collectors should have the opportunity of obtaining 'earlier releases' without taking out a mortgage but if this is a carbon-copy of the original then what is the point of having variants ? "There speaks a man who has one " I hear you cry..... yet despite it's supposed rarity it is surely one of the easiest variants to make as a custom &.....as customs go..... it has got to be the easiest to make from the multitude of cheap Venoms I see that sell cheaply on ebay. I don't need to elaborate just use your head. OK so you don't want a DIY version ,you want the real thing. I understand that but if this new Black Spidey is produced looking exactly the same as the original we will be spiralling downwards with the brakes off. I look forward to a new Black Spider-man ,one that surpasses the old Black Spidey not a cheap clone of the old one ......a GREY Spider-Man.

Shane,I am not intentionally criticising the Demo...no way...but I feel that the results may be more useful if portrayed differently. I also hope Trekker isn't feeling increasingly threatened by being (or not being) on a database
