1. Grease - with a T-Birds 4-pack and a Pink Ladies 4-pack with Greased Lightning vehicle!
2. I'm curious as to how you can say this isn't creative. If anything, it's the most creative thing they've done in a long while. And Slott is proud of it, so you know it isn't editorial. Well, I've never subscribed to the notion that shock value equals creativity. This is nothing but "Hey, look what we did! Are you shocked and appalled?" writing. There's no real substance to it. It's been done to death SO many times and both DC and Marvel. What happened to just good stories? Stories that didn't revolve around some "forever-changed!", "galaxy-spanning!", "you won't believe your eyes!" type writing. There used to be great stories, especially in Spider-Man. Now it's just the same exclamation marks over and over. Over the next few months, or years, depending on how long Marvel drags this out, how will someone jump into the middle of this, or even new readers, without wondering why Spider-Man is now some sort of egotistical, anti-hero? Spider-Man is supposed to be the epitome of "Great Responsibility", not a murdering super-villain in a Spidey mask. It seems the age of comics has hit a new low, not just at Marvel, but all over the place. I wrote off DC before the New 52 stuff started. Most of the good writing now seems limited to independent comics. I'm not saying Marvel is completely bereft of any talent. Personally, I've started to really like Wolverine and the X-Men. It's actually still a fun book to read. Can't say that about too many others. When was the last time any story made me just stop and go "Wow, I never saw that coming."? Whatever happened to good, solid stories like "The Death of Jean DeWolff", "The Dark Phoenix Saga", "The Night Gwen Stacy Died", "The Long Halloween", "The New Frontier" and some of the Byrne era Alpha Flight and Fantastic Four issues? Spider-Man has always been foundational to Marvel and now the House of Ideas' foundation is crumbling.
3.

I must hate joy then... 4. Spider-man has always been my favorite. Ever since the old book and record sets I had as a kid(yes, my age is showing). But I gave it up shortly after Civil War, once Quesada seemingly took out his frustrations on the title. Coudn't support it after that. So, recently, I wanted to start it again with the onset of Marvel Now. So I read #698-700. I. Give. Up.Marvel's creativity has been completely stifled by ridiculous editorial decisions such as the one that led to this completely asinine story. it' s not just that it's a bad turn of events, or bad writing. There's just nothing redeeming about it whatsoever. I thought the deal with Mephisto was bad after Civil War, but this? This is an abomination of what Spider-man has ever been.
5. Pretty sure the Secret Wars set is the last Marvel box set I ever saw here in the Triad as well.

7. Sweater vest zombie! Pretty much a description of the people I work with. Cool set!
8. I honestly never would have known the difference if it hadn't been pointed out here. I've read the comic series, but I guess the costume nuances didn't really stick with me.
9. Isn't there always a Tony Stark in the waves? Some suit/racing/t-shirt/pimp outfit? I'm sure this won't be any different. And, honestly, I'm okay with that. And don't forget battle damaged variants...
10. The pride of my collection are my original Megos. I had them as a kid, and now as an adult. All of the World's Greatest Superheroes, Star Trek, and a few others. Also the playsets & vehicles. The batcave was my fave as a kid, so now its joined by the Wayne Foundation, a Mongomery Wards exclusive way back then. Still missing a couple pieces of the Jokermobile, and a couple arrows for the Green Arrow Car. I started to buy the new DC ones Mattel put out, but didn't really care for them. I wouldn't mind the Sulu and Chekov the other company made to finish my crew, but haven't bought them yet. I saw the Flash Gordon and Battlestar Galactica ones at a show recently and was very tempted, but passed. Best of all, the Batsignal from the batcave still works! Oh, and the TRU near me has the Janine/Samhaine set for 9.98. I may get it when I go back if they're still there.
11. I received a shipping notice from him yesterday, so I imagine they will all go out soon.
12. If a mime zombie with no arms is trapped in a box, will anyone know?
13. I think that's true about the kid appeal. But the biggest obstacle to that is TRU's floor plan. I don't know about everybody else, but minimates are scattered across at least 8 different sections on 3 different aisles at mine. There's no cohesiveness at all for minimates. There's certainly enough to warrant their own section, which in turn would give them more of a presence. Without a minimate section, the Battle Beasts will get lost in the sea of marvel, batman, avengers, star wars, and spiderman without a kid even noticing them.
14. Waiiiiiit...which Rick do you mean?? Because...that was the whole point of the Convention one haha...he doesn't even have a hand!! Deputy Rick, not the SDCC one. The first issue he was wearing a bandage on his hand. When he first finds Lori, she thinks he's been bit, but he tells her it's just from the iv from the hospital.
15. So, tonight, after flipping through the first few issues of the comic again, I thought I'd give Rick one of Rocky Balboa's bandaged hands to represent the one he had in the comic. Then to my surprise, I noticed the Rick figure already had a bandaged hand! What an awesome attention to detail that I hadn't even noticed before. It's very subtle, but there. Yet another reason DST is tops when it comes to things like this.
16. I'm.... not sure who Chuck is, still new here, but yay! I'm convinced "Chuck" is just one of numerous personalities that inhabit Zach's head. Each personality refers to the others in the 3rd person, making it seem as though they are separate entities. Remember the show 'Herman's Head"? Yeah, it's like that.
17. There are 4 Shane(Jim)/Zombie sets in stock. Enter at your own risk. Exclusive Walking Dead Minimates Series 1 - Zombie and Jim
18. Looks like "Cute" Zombie isn't cute anymore. Love the last breath look on Amy's alternate face.
19. Here we go again guys - but this time with photos and some correct names! In stock as of now: Exclusive Walking Dead Minimates Series 1 Exclusive? Glenn with Nerd Zombie Exclusive Walking Dead Minimates Series 1 - Zombie and Jim
20. This is the image I was referring to with Sunfire possibly behind Thor. Not sure if it's him, but I think that Sunspot is the one behind Captain (Ms) Marvel.
21. Thought that might have been him flamed on in the promo image someone posted a few days ago. He did it in Age of Apocalypse, so maybe that's him in the Marvel Now Avengers image.
22. Sunfire - hello window of opportunity. Classic and variant torched up. Do it DST.
23. I always thought this was a great backdrop for an X-Men vs Sentinel display or Avengers vs Chitauri. Some of those Joe backdrops are pretty useful for minimates. Diorama
