I get what you're saying. It's an interesting way to look at the state of super hero movies. My only question then is would you rather Spider-man 3 be the last of the Spider-man movies and not have a Spider-man movie in theaters this year? And to piggyback that question, would you want DKR to be the last Batman movie and never be rebooted? If so, then should we even have the Nolan Batman movies, because they were just a reboot from the Burton/Schumacher movies... I don't think there is anything wrong with the movie industry wanting our money as long as they give us quality movies in return.

I really liked it (for whatever that's worth to you). I think it's my favorite Spider-man movie, but I'm also still really excited from seeing it recently. It looks to me like the biggest complaint people have with this movie is that it is a reboot, but I'm okay with it. The old franchise is not going to continue. Tobey and Raimi aren't going to make Spider-man 4, so a reboot is your only chance to see Spidey back on the big screen. I'm sorry we all have to see Peter get bit and Uncle Ben get shot again, but the last time you saw that in theaters was 10 years ago. Dark Knight Rises will be the last Batman movie of this franchise. How long do you want to wait before seeing another Batman movie after this? It will be a reboot too. And how much time was there in between Batman and Robin and Batman Begins? Why do so many people care that ASM is a reboot? I would recommend going to see this movie and trying to see it as a stand alone movie instead of comparing it to the decade old one. It's a fast, fun movie about a character I love and I'm just glad to see old web head back on the big screen.

I was a fool and ordered my Spidey and Daredevil sets before they had Boomer and Rictor listed. I got my sets yesterday (extra space in the box but no damage) and they are amazing but now I'm going to have to order Boomer and pay shipping again ... Bummer. Anyway I was like Geohound and waited for this Daredevil instead of getting the comic shop version. He is absolutely perfect. Definite 10 / 10. Kingpin is great too. I love the old one, but it's nice to have one that's even bulkier. Spidey sense is a nice addition. I actually like having a hole in Spidey's head. This is also my first Spidey with the old fashion eyes. And another first for me is Punisher. This guy is awesome. Not my favorite comic character but he makes a fantastic mate. Great job with this wave DST!

I thought the movie was great. There were a few things Raimi may have done better, but overall ASM is headed in a much better direction and I'm excited to see what comes next. Sure, it would have been nice if JJJ was in it, bit there was no room. Sure the crane scene wad a little cheesy but not nearly as bad as some of the moments we had to watch in the Raimi trilogy. I thought the web shooters were really cool and the fight scenes were a huge improvement. The biggest thing that this movie lacked was the relationship between Peter and May. It was there but not as strong as the old movies. His relationship with Gwen was better for me than Tobey and Kirsten though. I would put this movie on the level with the latest Marvel movies and ahead of the previous Spider-man movies. Edit: That all being said, I do still enjoy the first two Spidey movies and I'm glad we got them ten years ago. The new movie doesn't erase the old ones, it's just a new start to breathe new life into the franchise

Just a few Spider-Man picks

I ordered the Spidey/Punisher and DD/Kingpin sets last night after weeks of checking both local TRUs. I'm also hoping to get a Boom Boom/Rictor set at some point

It's not wrong to vocalize disappointment about trailers or footage but I got the sense that most people were hating on this movie for the sole fact that it was a reboot and the first Spider-man movie only came out ten years ago. If you don't like what you see, then that's fine. But don't say it will be terrible just because you liked the Tobey movies.

Lots of ASM but still no wave 13

Most of my grails are actually Xevoz. I'm missing most of the last wave and always seem to be out bid on eBay. I do stay pretty conservative while bidding though. It's hard to pay a lot when you know what the original retail price was. Maybe someday. No real minimate grails. I still need most of Spideys villains like Mysterio, Shocker, Kraven and others who are just a little more expensive on ebay than I'd like to pay. Oh and Crossbones. Still need a Crossbones ... But I'm not chasing down a 28 Deadpool or Gold Spidey or anything.

Oh just go see it in theaters. I never understood all of the hate for this movie before it was released. If it's bad then complaints can be made, but if it's good do you want to miss seeing it on the big screen?

I'm looking forward to it. I liked the last cartoon show though I stopped watching after a few seasons. I really liked the last movie and too. This show definitely looks like it's targeting a younger audience but hopefully it wont be too juvenile. I really just want a good new version of the turtles. The animation looks pretty slick and I like the way the boys are designed. Shredder looks a little off to me and Splinter looks way off but I'll give them a shot. And I REALLY hope they bring Bebop and Rocksteady back in to the game. Oh man I miss those guys. Not sure if I'll get the new toys or not. I bought the 2003 figures, the NECA comic figures, and the re-released 1989 figures but I don't know if I'll have the money and space for the 2012 and classics with all the minimates I'll be buying.

So they cancelled EMH to make an Avengers cartoon more like Ultimate Spider-man... Then realized USM is awful ... so now they are just making another Avengers cartoon that isn't related to USM and isn't EMH? And they're going to cancel USM after season 2 so they can start over with a different Spidey cartoon? And they are going through with Smash even though it will be awful? Really?

Updated Wanda and Protector would be awesome. As much as I love the X-men I don't really need the Phoenix force as minimates. The production art all looks great though

I never meant to criticize and I regret my question if it came across with a negative slant. I'm really just fascinated. I am a cherry picker collector so seeing someone amass such an epic collection is beyond me. I just wanted to know the reason why. Those protos and unreleased mates are an amazing site.

Many thoughts: Seriously, he should just be the villain in a Spider-man movie and not the main character of his own movie. Isn't the hatred for Spidey what binds them together in the first place? Just let a director who likes the character handle it this time. Second, the Ultimate Venom story was weak. The 90s cartoon and Spectacular Spider-man cartoon both did it better. I don't mind the cure-for-cancer origin, but the Ultimate story was anti-climactic. Pete only had the symbiote for one night and ditched it whereas everywhere else he kept it for a while until it ruined all of his relationships and had to get rid of it. Third... Who is Jessica?

I'm with slipstream... why so many duplicates? I have a bunch of Wolverines but that's only because they have made so many different Wolverines and pack him with different characters. Why buy so many of the same packs?

I agree that orange was a bad choice. The white is iconic and bold where as the orange looks dull and kind of weird against the red. Other than the eyes, I really like the costume. It'll be interesting to see how they explain it. Hopefully they do better than a montage of Peter drawing and coloring with markers and suddenly having a full super hero costume. And the minimate version of the suit looks incredible (especially after a head swap). I love the little silver web shooters. I also think it's funny how much they play up the web shooters for this movie. They're even mentioned on the minimate packaging. "THIS MOVIE IS DIFFERENT FROM THE LAST THREE!"

I voted for Cuckoos and Multiple Man. Showing my X-Men love yet again...

Found these guys in Dayton Ohio (still looking for TRU 13). I picked up Peter and Gwen's sets to mix in with my my comicbook mates. I might try to do a QC for Connors. They all look great! I was tempted to buy more but I'm trying to budget On a related note I'm looking forward to the movie and as of right now I'm more excited for ASM than DKR.

Still no 13 or ASM in my part of Southern Ohio. Hopefully soon though

BOO! Well that ruins my fun. EMH was one of the best cartoons I've seen in a long time and I'm sad to see it cancelled. This feels like Spectacular Spider-man all over again. You set up this great universe with fun, interesting characters and weave some great stories together paying tribute to the comics and then can it after two amazing seasons. I still haven't watched Ultimate Spider-man, but everyone seems to be saying that it's sub-par at best and if this new Avengers show is going to match up with it, then I think that was a poor decision for Marvel animation. I know they had to reboot Spider-man's cartoon for some legal reasons (switching licensing or something) but why didn't they just create the new toon to fit with EMH's universe? Then we wouldn't be cancelling EMH to fit Ultimate Spider-man. This seems like a really desperate attempt to cash in on the movies (new team line up and costumes), but I would have rather just seen them start to incorporate more movie elements into EMH. But what do I know?

Another tough choice! I'd love to have all of these new guys and updates of the repeat characters. I ended up going for Zemo and Mojo.

I LOVE that updated Emma Frost and the Cyclops is awesome too. I'll also gladly take Hope, but these modern X-Men (including recent MvC3 Wolverine) are making me want a full team to complement my 90s X-Men team.

Thanks for the info on Spidey. Looks like I will be picking up the ASM Peter Parker for an updated Pete. Tomorrow, the hunt for these begins!
