  1. Son of a BISCUIT! I was playing the Loki mission and I clicked on the "Sif" mission, and then STUPIDLY clicked on the "recruit" button or whatever and inadvertently bought her. Crap. What a waste of 23 command points. At least her strike seems pretty powerful, even at a low level.
  2. I know, I know. Ebay UK has been my friend. It seems a lot of yall over the pond sell these things on e-bay and don't seem to mind international shipping! Just got the electronic TARDIS for about 20 bucks shipped! Sweet deal.
  3. Kickstarter uses Amazon to post payments, and it works as an "all or nothing" approach. If the project is successfully funded, the pledges are taken. If the project does not reach the funding goal, no money changes hands. In this case, funding through pledges was reached (and surpassed) so when the project time is up, Amazon will collect the payments. It's pretty sweet. One of my favorite all time bands just successfully funded their new album through Kickstarter, to amazing results. http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/fiveironfrenzy/new-five-iron-frenzy-album I've seen other cool projects on there as well, but I have only pledged on the one so far.
  4. Thanks, fellas! It's been a pretty good day thus far. Nice birthday, karamazov. It's a good day to be born!
  5. Thought I would take this thread on a trip via the TARDIS! These toys are still freaking expensive in the states. I was hoping to pick up a couple of the doctors for my boys for X-mas... but 20 bucks a figure is a bit steep. Anybody know if they ever plan of properly releasing these in the US market? Or do we in the states just have to forever pay import fees? I mean, with this series being on Netflix it seems lots of people know it and watch it. I would think that a proper release to US TRU would be lucrative. But I guess it's comeuppance that WE finally have to pay import fees on something! ...even though they are all just made in China anyway...
  6. Jeff, I'm fairly new here and don't do a whole lot of posting and so this may feel hollow, but I'm lifting up your little girl in prayer right now. Stay strong, chase away dark thoughts, call a friend to vent if you need it. Been through lots of bad junk myself (including tumors in my wife's brain, daughter has had heart and respiratory problems, and assorted other life BS) and I feel for you and your struggle. Hit me up in a PM if you feel it.
  7. If the movie takes the stance of being a "primer" of sorts for the whole Doctor Who Mythos, I'm all for it. It should explain the basics in a stand-alone plot that could conceivably take place in-between any of the Doctor's incarnations... some "tinkering" may need to occur for that to happen, but I digress. I can see it being a hit if they get a good story, charismatic lead actor (think Johnny Depp as Cpt. Jack Sparrow, but not necessarily Johnny Depp as the Doctor) and decent special effects. Anyway, as a casual Dr. Who fan, I look forward to it!.
  8. Has anyone else in the States found these CB figures at Target? Over the weekend my boys and I found the generic (i.e. NOT Doctor Who) ones in with the collectible cards up at the front of the store. They are blind bagged and run $2 a piece. My boys got a knight and a race car driver. I'm wondering if this means we will see the Doctor Who ones too?
  9. These are incredible! Great customs, great display, and the fact the Weezer saw and signed them kicks this one straight up to AMAZING.
  10. HTS sent me an email last night telling me my order was shipped yesterday... so they might not be lying about not being able to change an order in progress. They seem pretty speedy.
  11. My collection is not so minimate centric... mostly just random crap. I have a bunch of Marvel Minimates at work that I let the kids play with when they visit, and these guys spread around the home office. I realize that I need a custom Indiana Jones minimate. I also need to reorganize and de-clutter my office.
  12. I heard they had a 6 inch movie Thor figure too, but I haven't seen that one. I wish I could find these things around me, but of the 4 Walmarts within reasonable driving distance, only one of them seems to get any of these exclusives and even then it's sketchy. It's also the one that's the farthest out from anywhere I typically go. Bah. Bah I say!
  13. I ordered one for my kids and had no problems whatsoever... That was about 9:30 am CST.
  14. The thought of having a tiny zombie army is just sooo tempting. I've pared back a lot of my collecting over the past few years. I may have to sell some stuff to make room for these. Graah. Decisions, decisions...
  15. "I'm ON the brute squad!" "You ARE the brute squad!"
  16. Yep. Walmart has an exclusive 6 inch nick fury and cap from the captain America movie. They had iron man figures in the same scale too. I didn't know they were out! There are pictures on 10mfh.com, but I'm on my phone and too lazy to copy/paste.
  17. Avengers figures pictures! http://www.10mfh.com/random-news/nycc-2011-marvel-avengers-figures-pictures/ I am loving what I see so far!
  18. No no no, I assure you that it was mere coincidence that I showed up here. No recruiting involved.
  19. Thanks! I'll give you one guess as to who made the custom Mini-Mate.
  20. My User wants to stop the MCP! Thanks for the warm welcome, all! ...and yes, Luke's collection is real... and it's amazing!
  21. Sorry. Saw the words "Army of Darkness" and had to comment.
