Did anyone pick up the SDCC boxset? Was trying to find a review, but no one seems to have these!

I think the cape looks great like that! It was wispy and ethereal in the movie, and this captures that look incredibly well. It could stand to be just a TAD more yellow, but I love this. Regular Vision is the only one I'm getting out of this wave, anyway, so works for me!

These Mates all look great, good work, DST! Can I suggest a Nurse Elle/Clean Motorcycle Suit Bride as this year's SDCC exclusive? With unarticulated Bebe! That would pretty much complete Kill Bill.

I thought likeness approvals was why this line has such variety, because they aren't considered likenesses? Definitely looking forward to seeing how these turn out! Wish Penny wasn't in that ugly pink dress that gets used for every license, but that's my only wish so far.

I'm surprised at the lack of chatter about the Days of Future Past boxset - aside from the awesome custom job a couple posts up, no one seems to notice this is out! It's on my list to grab, but I only want Mystique and maybe the Sentinel. Wish Luke's would break these into singles! Those new Wave 58 line-ups make a heck of a lot more sense - thanks, DST! I love seeing the control art for these, but any chance we can see the full sheets again? I loved seeing what parts get re-used, what are new, and all the design elements that were on the lower half.

Can I just say thanks to anyone at DST reading for actually releasing the full cast of characters for this movie? It seems to be such a Herculean task these days to get more than three characters to retail, and DST got five Guardians, three villains (that no one else is offering) and two army builders into two assortments. And that includes two females - in the same pack - gasp! And this is for most of their properties - aside from the FOX movies - they cover pretty much everyone I want from a movie, even Cobie Smulders and Black Widow. And I just really appreciate that. I picked up two packs today during the TRU sale, and they look nice. I'm going to wait for the Gamora/Nebula set to open (what issue did TRU have with stocking the main female character, I wonder), but both Drax and Star-Lord have incorrectly-colored eyes. Drax's are light green, and so are Chris Pratt's, but both figures have very dark eyes. Throws the likenesses off.

Haven't posted in awhile, but wanted to chime in that I noticed Wolverine's coat looking wrong first thing, and I only know this story from the cover and post-90s references. That IS a major issue, and not one I appreciate being breezed by. I haven't bought any Minimates since I got a great deal on the SDCC Iron Man 3 set (which I liked because I didn't have any of the armors and Pepper and Tony looked great), but one of the reasons is nothing stands out to me right now. Big Bang Theory look cool, maybe a Kill Bill Bride, but nothing Marvel interests me these days. Maybe the movie Falcon - that's it. And this Mystique, but I don't like how she turned out cheapy-looking with the skull painted on her face and re-used First Class Mystique hair(?). The belt I didn't notice, but I don't care for it now that I've taken another look. Combine this with the lackluster unmasked Garfield and Evans likenesses, and the (admittedly getting re-painted) Kill Bill 7" likenesses, DST has me a bit worried now in a way I didn't use to be in regards to their products. I want to buy stuff - but it's the just almost being good enough that keeps my money in my wallet.

Why would shifting Voyager characters to the LCS waves be a smart move when the Janeway/Seven pack is the only one selling out at TRU? I visited a TRU today and they had a new shipment of these, and the only Seven/Janeway set I saw was a Sisko/Dukat set with the wrong art in the blister. Almost ten each of Kirk/Picard/Sisko sets. What does this tell me? New characters are selling better than previously released characters. Women are selling well, especially when sold together and short-packed (why, of all the Trek females, these two are short-packed is another issue). Question for those whose comic shops sell Trek Minimates: Which pack is selling best? Wouldn't happen to be Archer, would it? Maybe the Borg Queen?

Monkeycrumb, you are totally right! I've got my Professor X on display and he does have the hole on top of his head, and I got my Patrick Stewart's confused. Well that's great news! Also, isn't there a Minimate coming out that has the hairpiece for men with a lack of hair like Picard, the ring? When I saw that one I immediately thought of an updated Picard who wouldn't just have a cylinder for a head.

I haven't seen this answered yet - Are the new Picard and Sisko Minimates getting a new head without the peg hole in the top? It's missing on both of their heads in the promo pic. I really hope this is true and a peg-less head has been created for bald characters. It's a personal preference, but my old Picard and Professor X Minimates are great except for this. Also, it looks like the Borg Queen, Jem Hadar and Cardassian all have newly-sculpted heads. Are these going to be newly-cast pieces, or are these "masks" that go on top of the regular Minimate head? I saw the Herman Munster Minimate with the car and the tampos on his oddly-shaped heads didn't look great, and I was wondering if that was because the factory wasn't used to the new dimensions. Just asking because these look great and I hope they stay that way!
