HA! I love that my rejected plan for a "love letter to the fans" was apparently to make some of the most obscure comic book characters ever invented, and not the numerous prominent characters that people have been asking for for a decade. I wouldn't make that line, either. That said, I do want a Dragon Man eventually. And I guess I thought we had already made Stingray. A shame. Best superhero costume ever. But I have never read a story with Ulik in it.

Nothing wrong with taking a break, Geo. I tried to shoot the new batch of ASM Minimates I got in, but was so tapped out I didn't make much progress. I did get this one, though. Nobody wants to disappoint Dennis Leary.

The General is actually a completely different sculpt from the regular Chitauri -- yes, he came with an arm cannon, but I didn't notice that arm cannon users wore different armor in the film. More likely, he reflected an actual General character who was cut from the movie, although I haven't asked specifically. We never saw footage, we were only sent designs and told who everybody was. I'm sure if we'd gotten reference in time, we would have made the leader Loki dealt with. And while the army dump was cancelled, I didn't see any distinct variations in the SHIELD uniform OR the Chitauri. So it would have been a tough set to create, even if we got reference. I'm certainly sad we didn't get Bruce, but who knew he'd be the breakout character in the movie? We discussed "quick custom" recipes earlier in the thread-- I just may have to make one now.

Wow. The Street Fighter love is strong with this one. Pretty sure we'll include new versions of those three big guys simply because we need as many big guns as we can get, but not sure about those others. Wanna say yes to Abel and Rolento.

You're probably alone in that complaint; most of us really didn't like the way that hairpiece looked. I think it was the ears. Yeah, I mentioned that change a couple of months back, and everyone seemed relieved. Everyone said he looked like a member of Whitesnake.

It is a pretty great set. The TRU figures are pretty great, too. Especially Shipmaster Rtas Vadam. And that Brute War Chief. Sorry about Miranda.

Man, this changed from an "anything goes" thread to a "let's make fun of DST's Spidey/Avengers fixation" thread so gradually I barely noticed. Glad you guys are at least adjusting your expectations downward. At this point, Wave 50 may not be as special as I hoped.
