Zombie Fest!!! For October Mini-Myte and Amazing.JL bring you The Zombie-Mates Custom Contest!!! This year has been one filled with the Zombie craze. We've seen it all from new story lines, various new products, and even new movies. Can't say we are surprised as zombies are either scary, cool, and/or lol funny! It's that time of Halloween again and what better time to celebrate "The Zombie" with our very own Zombie-Mates contest! With so many types of zombies out there we've decided to make this contest a little different. There will be three categories of Zombies in this contest. 1.) Comics - In this category the custom minimate has to be a zombie character from any comic or graphic novel. 2.) TV/Movies - Here the custom minimate had to be a zombie from a particular Movie or TV show. 3.) Original Concept - This minimate custom can be any character Zombie transformed not to have been a zombie before in Comics or TV/Movies. The sky is the limit! You can even consider it a "What if?" concept. This would also include Zombies that do not fit in the Comics or TV/Moives categories Rules: 1.) Only one custom minimate per person can be entered in this contest. 2.) Please submit a manageable size picture of your custom by posting it in this thread. If submitting more than one picture, they must be thumbnails. 3.) Please specify the one category your custom will be submitted under and taken into consideration. 4.) Please provide a brief description of your custom, source art is optional. 5.) This must be a new creation from the start of this post, previous customs/contest entries are not allowed. 6.) Quick Customs are allowed. =============================================================== Dates: Entries will be accepted between now and through Friday October 26th at 11:59 PM PST. Voting begins once Contest Gallery has been posted on October 27th and ends October 30th at 11:59 PM PST. C3 (The Batman/JLU) was licensed to Play Along and the line is now dead and not coming back. I seriously doubt it's coming back in any sort of way. Since you have this problem with faces how about non-masked mates? So what do you do with minimates that have no face?

I've dug tunnels to everyones homes to get their minimates. :miner: :ph34r: Really I just get a truck load. Seriously even though some may have deep pockets they might not have them so deep or maybe they are a minimate junkie that just has to have them. With the infusion of minimates this year and other priorities, I've basically cut down on other stuff like crappy Legends and Marvel books have been terrible so I'm cutting my subscription list again. I'm mainly minimates/statues and then only pick items I like. Marvel/DC I'm mainly 1 set to open, 1 set to save, 1 set to trade if a good opportunity presents itself. It also helps to have a comic shop that offers me discounts and other offerings that are hard to match. I've also been selling a few items that has kept my wallet from walking.

Well I don't get charged these prices but if it's much more than this you might want to reconsider. At least if you're in the US that is. Sometimes shipping rates make it more convenient to buy from your shop.

You can't go by the DST date, just wait for the Diamond shipping list or when your shop get's invoiced. I here ya Reideen.

I just lost count after 1500, it's overwhelming to the fact that now I don't really know everything I have....lol Never thought I'd say this but I need a month long break.

Not me but the retail price is supposed to be $8.99 but it's left to seller discretion. Not sure what you were paying. Suggested retail prices per 2-pack are supposed to be: Marvel $6.99 Star Trek $6.99 BSG $6.99 DC $8.99

Like I've said I bought thousands and just started to have these types of QC problems. I was a bit surprise by people I've sold to telling me there minimates broke, but I of course believe them because they are trust worthy. But then I saw what they were talking about as soon as it started happening. What I will say now is truth and not to bash anyone. These are just some of the issues I know have happened to people I've dealt with and why it embarrasses me. 2 x Broken Hydroman/Sandman 6 wrong armed/double arms if you will from 6 2-packs in one case of BSG Series 1 6 snapped Cylons from a case of 12 4 missing crotch battle-damaged cylons from 8 cases of 12 2 x Dr. Fate broken into many pieces in 2-pack 2 x Broken Green Arrow Right knee. I don't think that DST likes bad publicity. I'm not sure why these QC issues don't get fixed and we don't know what happens behind the scenes. What we do know is: 1.) They'll replace broken minimates/pieces if they can. 2.) They answer our questions in Q/As and out. 3.) They occasionally give us great prizes for contests!(Elf Cylons/Hunt Mates) 4.) They chime in from time to time and talk to us, even in chats. 5.) Plus they have given us exclusive news. You will find it hard to find many companies that will do that for fans.

Man getting a busted variant is the worst feeling, which is why I also want them to stop doing chases. They are a ton harder to replace. I got a reply today from DST and will be getting my rocky hair pieces and a hydroman replacement. They don't have a sandman replacement. Getting most of my issues resolved is a lot better than nothing at all. Now to wait.

I got an email that they were going to be out of the office for the week and returning today. I'm not sure they enjoy screwing their customers, there been many who have received replacement minimates for their broken ones. If they didn't care at all we wouldn't even be getting anything back. I don't think they are happy about upset customers. What really needs to be done is get these QC issues fixed so there isn't anyone whining or complaining even though it's justified. Until corrected I expect these types of threads keep popping up, heck even I contribute to them.

Nervous, I kinda feel the same way about Abomination. I think just about everyone here knows I have been pining for an Abomination minimate for years. Now that he is a definite, I need a new "whining project". I think it will be...RED SKULL C'mon DST, make it happen. I've got the same feeling after knowing Abomination and Mysterio getting made. I can't believe we still haven't had a Red Skull and of course the rest of the Sinister Six!

I thought it was interesting. I caught the news directly from the DST site this morning. It'll be interesting what they come up with especially if the license gets to minimates.

I also have a broken Hydro man/Sandman and let me tell you it also happened to my best friend. Since the QC issues have gotten worse it also means I'm trading and getting other people minimates that break. It makes me feel so embarrassed that I just don't feel comfortable anymore. This week I sent out about 350-400 minimates and I just don't have the security. It really gets me down. It feels like I'm giving crap to people, especially because it has happened to friends. Sorry for this rant but it had to boil over within me sometime. I've contacted DST and hopefully they'll respond. If I'm not mistaken, they maybe gearing up for the Baltimore Comic-Con so they could be tied up and respond later.

Believe me I have that concern. I ordered 8 Rocky Box sets not including those I ordered for friends and I want my 8 hair pieces. It's going to look bad asking for 8 hair pieces! Edited this is only about Rocky Hair Peices.

Yes Promos and they were available to order on their respective websites. KungFaux.com still has the minimates listed but it's a farce so don't order through them. Tubed minimates were first then carded I believe. However carded Bruce Lee's are have not circulated very much at all. I'm missing two carded (Hong Kong/Immortal) and missed one auction I finally knew about. I've probably only seen Immortal carded twice on ebay in 3 years. If I see it again, watch out!

Bruce Lee minimates were sold at specialty shops such as Tower, SunCoast, Comic shops, Spencers, On-Line Retailers and many many others, even some you care not to know.

There is no contest, The rarest hardest mutha of them all is the Carded Bruce Lee Immortal Dragon! If it wasn't for not being available during the last auction, I would have won for sure. I've had been dreaming of the chance. Not sure if this would count but I would consider that you can buy it at the right price and was available at the time. Earlier Marvel Retailer Display Boxes that were bigger than the recent ones, had Spider-man/Carnage minimates bubble attached to the front of the box. I can't find these suckers anywhere now. It's a neat idea I think should be brought back. These are more rare than Immortal Dragons.

Is it me or are there a lot of flimsy right knees?(Which is the one that was broken) There are a lot of right legs that don't look smooth imo, I see this a lot in DC minimates.
