  1. I got GOW2 last night also, and I really enjoy the gameplay. The language is harsh, but it's no worse than I hear at work on a daily basis so I really don't pay much attention to it. I love taking cover and firing blindly over the top and taking out those dirty Locusts. This game is intense!
  2. I broke down and bought one of these on ebay. I didn't need the figures, since I already have them, but I really wanted the box. I found a seller offering the box and the Batman, but no Joker. Not a problem for me, so I emailed them asking about the condition of the box. Normally, I don't care about packaging since I'm an opener, but the draw to this item for me was the box itself. I was told that the box was in great condition, so I bought it for $9.99 + $4.99 shipping. The idiot wrapped the box in bubble wrap and mailed it in a non-padded yellow envelope! The package was squished several times on its way here and when I opened it the whole upper left corner was all wrinkled up. I wrote the seller to tell them how it was received, and they offered to replace it and agreed to ship it in a box for a larger fee!! WTF??? Any moron knows that if you ship a box in an envelope like that it's going to arrive damaged. Also, for $5 shipping, you can easily send a small box within the US at least First Class, if not Priority Mail. So frustrating!!
  3. Ha! Hard to argue that one. Thankfully, I can honestly say I never bought that piece of crap.
  4. What IS the worst movie you've ever purchased? Hulk? That's mine. Yeah, Hulk is right up there. But if I had to pick the worst I bought, it was a Tommy Lee Jones movie called The Missing if I recall correctly. Total crap. Actually, now that I think about it, I think The Happening might just be worse than that one. Maybe it is #1 afterall.
  5. I enjoyed the Sixth Sense, and I loved Unbreakable and Signs. I even liked The Village. Haven't seen Lady in the Water because I heard it was awful, and I'm really upset with myself for buying The Happening. The only thing interesting here from a horror standpoint were the deaths, and most of them were shown in the previews. It's not the worst movie I've ever purchased, but it's definitely top 5. Crap.
  6. There's something I can agree with you on. Mighty Muggs would not be fun to play with, in my opinion. I don't really "play" with my toys anymore because I'm old and I sadly don't have the imagination for anything aside from the occasional LEGO minifig lightsaber battle, but if I were buying them for the purpose of playing with them, I would probably feel the same way you do. My Mighty Muggs are being used as statues. For play purposes, stick with more posable figures like Minimates or Marvel Legends, etc...
  7. Sorry you are unhappy with your Boba Fett. To me, the appeal is in the design. No, they don't move like Minimates, or even LEGO minifigs for that matter, but they look cool in my opinion, and they look really nice on display in my living room. I don't consider them as action figures. I think of them more as (very slightly) posable statues. As much as I love them though, I realize they are not for everyone. It's just a matter of personal preference. Just like someone will say that Kubricks are the best block figure on the market. Then someone else will chime in stating how Minimates are the best thing since sliced bread. Then I'll come along and sing the praises of my LEGO minifigs. Personal preference. To each, his own.
  8. Amazing work! Those look official. I second TBT's request to know what kind of paint you used and any prep work you do etc...
  9. Found him, Galactus, and Silver Surfer at Target. Target is the only place I've seen this wave so far.
  10. Venom arrived in the mail today and my Mighty Muggs collection is complete... that is until the next waves hit. I'll be finding a better way to stand them on the shelf soon, maybe something to elevate the figures in the back row. I just want them to look less crowded.
  11. No, Vader doesn't have a plain hand, unfortunately. He only has the removable hand (to recreate the final duel with Luke) and the lightsaber is stuck in it. No posing this one without the lightsaber. Of course, I'm probably going to try to find two of them and see about removing the saber hilt myself.
  12. Yesterday, I was playing LEGO Batman on my 360. Today... I went to play and got the dreaded red ring of death!!! I couldn't believe it. No warning, or anything. My 360 has worked perfectly fine since we've had it, and all of a sudden it's dead. I've already filled out my repair request and Microsoft is sending me a box to ship it back to them. I love the Xbox, but man did they mess these things up. I guess I'll use the downtime to earn my 3 star rating on MarioKart DS. I only need to do the 150CC Mirror courses and I'm done. Gonna be quite the task, but it's not like I'll be playing LEGO Batman or Halo any time soon... **EDIT** Neo, I just saw your paragraph about the Guitar Praise game. That's awesome! I love Casting Crowns and Skillet. Any Third Day songs? I'll have to consider buying this one.
  13. I had read a while back that the "2-eyed" version was a mistake and that it should have always been the "4-eyed" version. A running change was made to correct the error. However, I agree with you that the 2 eyed Vader looks better. Of course, the idea here is not that it is his eyes, but rather it's supposed to be light reflecting off of his mask. I bought a 4 eyed version, just to see how it looked out of the package, and I wasn't impressed. The upper circles get partially covered by his helmet and it just didn't look right. If you want a nice Vader, though, wait for series 6. He has a double-printed head so you get old-worn-out-Anakin on one side, and a nice helmet print on the other. I also like the costume looks better on the new version. I'll try to find a picture to post. **EDIT** Here's a picture, taken by one of the members of the mightymuggslounge forum. He's in Singapore and they already got wave 6. Wave 6 Vader The only negative about him is his lightsaber is molded into his hand, because he has the removable hand feature like Bespin Luke and for whatever reason Hasbro decided not to mold the pieces separately.
  14. These are pretty cool. I've only ever seen pictures of the Batman series. Are they only available online, or would comic shops and places like Suncoast or Hot Topic stock them?
  15. Nice little addition to the packaging by Hasbro. I've also got the black and white blanks on order from hasbrotoyshop, along with Indiana Jones series 2. Shipped yesterday, I'll probably get them late next week.
  16. The darker Indy hat looks better in my opinion. I'll have to be on the lookout for that one. And what do you need with three Peter Parker Muggs? Is one of those to trade to me?
  17. While they are interesting to look at, I think that the US packaging is far superior. I like the fact that each package is personalized to the character enclosed. Thankfully, I am not worried about packaging variations for this line or I would be in trouble.
  18. hahahahahahaha!!!!! Hope you're not a Star Wars fan. You have NO idea what you've just gotten yourself into. Sure, LEGO minifigs can't boast the same posability as Minimates, but the sheer number of characters available, from licensed lines like Star Wars and Batman, to the plain old City theme, is unbeatable. They are my favorites, without a doubt.
  19. Hellspartan and Active Camo CQB are now available to the general public on spawn.com but the supplies are limited. I just ordered mine. Anyone else needing them better hurry and order before they're gone!!
  20. Strange... I can understand why the Riddler's hat was a problem, but I even had to remove Daredevil's mask to get him to fit with the hatch closed. I can't believe your Batman fits!
  21. Unless you use Minimates with no headpieces and remove the steering wheel from the Tumbler, you WILL have to modify it to fit your mates. I took a couple pics to illustrate it for you, one showing how far the hatch is from closing with the hairpiece on, and one showing the minimates without their hairpiedes. Also took a couple shots of Batman posing with the Tumbler to show how nice the scale is. Definitely a nice purchase, whether to be used for LEGO or Minimates.
  22. I've noticed how some people earlier on said they weren't going to get into these but ended up doing it anyway, and I came across this post. It was only a day or two after that when I bought Vader. I stayed true to the course and didn't buy any more until about a month ago when I bought Indiana Jones. 3 more weeks after that, and I couldn't resist them anymore. I fought them off for almost 8 months!! That's pretty good for me.
  23. I have ordered the Iron Man (movie version) from ebay, and Commander Gree and the Fertility Idol from Hasbro. I'm still missing a few of the regular releases also, but I'll get them in time. I agree with you that the articulation sucks. I would have liked having some kind of leg articulation. Poses are extremely limited with these. Still, they are made from 100% recycled awesome. And if you don't believe me, just look on the package.
