  1. Karamazov - What's the plans for all the multiple Wolverines?
  2. The original report regarding Dukes of Hazzard's "General Lee" not having the Confederate flag on the roof for 2013 toys is a rumor. Warner Brothers is not altering or nixing the original design. Link Edit: Props to pappy for the diversity question. I asked a similar question ages ago, and I do think DST has taken it into account in the past. Look at the racial diversity of the MAX Heroes box set. Awesome.
  3. The black helmet goggles also on Spider-man movie lizard cop.
  4. I would pre- order three cases of a Walking Dead army dump. The thought of having over 100 parts swapped walkers is mind blowing.
  5. Those are some great ideas for audiobooks. Thanks Lurch! This may be strange but I do not like carving pumpkins. My kids love it but I have an issue with reaching in and pulling out the guts. I do it for them but I don't like it. I hate the feel of cold slimey pumpkin guts on my arm. I do really enjoy cooking the seeds though. I'm not much of a horror fan so haunted houses long ago stopped being my thing. The idea of Blackout turns my stomach, and I cannot fathom the appeal. Of course, it also makes me feel really old. I may have tried Blackout in my early twenties if my buddies were doing it. As a father, I feel like I experience real terror every time my kids break a finger or bust a tooth. And my daughter becomes a teenager in four months. That scares the $&!// out of me. It sounds cliche but the real world is scary enough as it is.
  6. For some reason, I'm more in the Halloween spirit this year. Perhaps due to Walking Dead Minimates and the return of the show. To celebrate, I've been listening to "Pride and Prejudice and Zombies" audiobook during my commute. I really enjoy it in part because I've never read "Pride and Prejudice" so the entire story is new to me. I agree with the audiobook introduction that says the author turned a masterpiece of English literature into something you would actually listen to. On deck is the Abe Lincoln Vampire Hunter audiobook. Anyone else reading anything good during this Halloween season? Also curious on people's thoughts on haunted houses, in particular Blackout. Blackout just came to Los Angeles this year and for those who don't know, it is a new form of extreme haunted house that started on the East Coast. Some differences that make it extreme: the actors can touch you, you must go in alone, you must be 18, you must sign a liability waiver, and you must "do things" when prompted for your own safety. If at any time you yell the "safety" word you will be released out of the haunted house. 1 in 7 people freak out so much they need to leave before making it all of the way through. Would you ever do a Blackout style extreme haunted house?
  7. Might I suggest an army builder dump of dead walkers? And a brains accessory.
  8. I beat this drum over and over but 25th Annv Star Trek TNG box sets are a no brainier in my opinion. There are as least as many TNG fans as BTTF fans. Just saying.
  9. Hmmmm.....DST is certainly holding some things back. My reasoning: The announced Marvel stuff seems to track with what has been released historically. Meaning, no increase or decrease in Marvel overall. I have not researched this but my gut tells me that what is on deck for non-Marvel seems to be vastly lower than what we've gotten in the past. So either Minimate production has fallen off a cliff or we are in for some surprises. Removing Marvel from the equation and moving forward with release dates we got in 2012: 4 Expendables box sets 2 Waves of Marvel v Capcom 2 Waves of Street Fighter v Tekken 2 Universal Monsters box sets 1 wave of Universal Monsters 2 or 3 Thundercats box sets 1 LCS wave of walking Dead 1 TRU wave of Walking Dead 2 HALO Box Sets 2 HALO waves 1 pirate ship 1 box set of Femme Fatales 3 KITTs 1 pack of Battle Beasts We have slated for 2013: 1 wave of Walking Dead 1 wave of Battle Beasts 1 or 2 Thundercats box sets 1 Enterprise 1 wave or box set of Tomb Raider Ruled Out: Calico Jack HALO Marvel v Capcom So what do you all think will round out the non-Marvel stuff for 2013?
  10. This may have been addressed in other non-NYCCthreads but any updates on Battle Beasts? Other lines? It sounds like The Walking Dead has been a runaway hit, and Street Fighter v Tekken Wave 3 is now questionable due to soft sales. Tomb Raider will be a line in 2013. Any updates on Agent 88? What about Calico Jack? Star Trek? Any new 80s vehicles like KITT? Dukes of Hazzard?
  11. I've been re-reading the comics and I've uncovered a tidbit. Since Kirkman is apparently picking the zombies to be included in The Walking Dead waves, I figured there must be some significance to them. And there is! "Cute" Zombie -
  12. A little tidbit courtesy of Action Figure Pics at Icon Heroes booth while viewing Castle Grayskull:
  13. Is the face on Silver Surfer chest intentional or is it like a Rorschach test that only a few of us see?
  14. Alright hellpop! Our man on the scene. My predictions: Return of Calico Jack Pirates (revived old line) Brotherhood of Evil Mutants Boxset for March 2013 release Wave 49 Hulk Wave Revealed SF v Tek Wave 3 shown Battle Beasts Wave 2 shown
  15. As is my life, I eventually get around to the things I set out to do. Item #406,724 on my to do list: Answer Bob's question from June. My Battle Beast (meant to be a rat) Head: Mole Guy from G-Force Playset bought on Clearance for the Minimate sized computer, modified with mole nose cut off and rat nose and ears modded on, sculpted on to a minimate head Hands: Cylon Feet: Modified Hulk in attempt to make longer rat feet Tail: Lizard Armor: Playmobile Knight Chain: Michael's Craft Jewelry chain Bulk Arms and Legs: Hulk Coat: Female Loki fur coat cut up and heavily re-sculpted around the top Loin Cover: Mistique with chain glued on for filigree
  16. We are so getting a Brotherhood set. First Appearance Magneto, Toad, Blob and Unus the Untouchable Mastermind. Stop teasing us DST!!!
  17. You will get 1 million multiverse credits if you can work a shot of a Minimate into the film as an Eastter Egg. Can't wait to check this out.
  18. Wait, anyone have pics of TRU Walking Dead Wave 1?
  19. If it's generating revenue I'm all for it. Hosting a site is expensive. The MMMV team has sunk countless dollars and pounds into a project of passion for almost a decade. I only brought it up as it appears the Art Asylum blog is infected with java malware. Do you guys get more money if I purchase through a click?
  20. Wha-what?!?? I sense less than stellar pre-orders for Wave 1. Please tell me the waves will continue!
  21. A lot of posts now appear to have eBay links in them. For example: my post from yeterday embedded a link to my words "Wave 50" that directs to a hydration backpack called a wave 50. Is this just me or does anyone else see this too?
  22. GI Joe Kre-ons would suggest that GI Joe Minimates will not be made any time soon as Hasbro likely considers Minimates a potentially competitive line. Unfortunately, I think the opposite is true. Minimate options of GI Joe characters could provide nice synergy with Kre-o AND pull adult collectors into Kre-o.
  23. C'mon Zach, I know you've got a Brotherhood set to hit us with at NYCC. The Rufus body totally gives away Blob. Blob, Toad, Magneto, and Unus the Untouchable
  24. Since parts of the wave made it out of China or New York, I consider Wave 15 as the absolutes rarest wave. Like 1 of 1 made. Also, it has the ignoble distinction as being "Least Wanted Wave" and "Wave That Almost Killed The Line". For that reason, I consider it a valid wave AND a wave I take pride in not having. It is said, any owners of any parts of Wave 15 will die a horrible death on Halloween. So there is that too...
  25. Predictions: Wave 49 - Hulk Wave including Doc Samson and Red She-Hulk TRU Box Set - Brotherhood of Evil Mutants Wave 51 - Iron Man 3 Wave 52 - Thor 2 Wave 50 - announced fan wave
