  1. Deadpool looks so close to his comic version, I think a movie version would be hard to tell apart from the others, but considering how popular the character is, and how popular I suspect the movie will be, I think a box set would make sense, if nothing else.
  2. I think it would be a cool novelty, especially if it was offered by Stan himself instead of as an official Marvel 'mate two-pack or box set choice, but it's not something I feel like I absolutely have to have.
  3. If we get a new Moon Knight, I hope it's the Moon Pimp look.
  4. I actually think the character that should not have made it into this wave is Apocalypse. You could slot him into any X-Men two-pack, wave, or box set, in favor of a character who fits the theme a little more. He looks great, and I'm glad to get him, but I don't think he needed to be in this wave specifically.
  5. I actually don't have an issue with any of them, even Kluh who I don't have a lot of interest in as a concept looks really good so I'm looking forward to him as well. My only regret is that some of the other characters who got inverted who need 'mates weren't made as well, like Loki, Enchantress, and Medusa. If this wave had gotten a TRU tie-in or a supplementary box set, they could knock out almost everyone.
  6. Argh!! When are these coming out?! I'm hurtin' man!!
  7. How about a Moon Knight and Black Knight two pack? Ebony and Ivory. Suits me.
  8. I know. And it's the red-headed stepchild of DST. Right in the feels.
  9. What else is there to talk about at this point?
  10. DC is banking all these new movies on the belief that audiences will come in with enough of an idea about who the characters are to proceed from there, instead of doing origin stories. Which is fine, the origin story is way overdone, but I feel like they will always be less financially successful because there isn't as much of an investment in these characters when you take that approach. That is certainly why I think in Suicide Squad both Batman and Joker are showing up, to draw those people who aren't familiar with the comics in. And before Marvel can ever get to the Thunderbolts, they are going to have to put a little more effort into their villains and actually give them a reason to want to redeem themselves. You can't do a redemption story for a team of villains in my opinion without first showing us who they are before they turn over that new leaf.
  11. I couldn't disagree more, the reason the Marvel Cinematic Universe has worked so well is that it is "fun" and doesn't take itself too seriously. I don't mean to that great of a degree, but I feel like there are times where they deliberately ignore the logical aftermath of certain situations. I don't want to say too much in the very unlikely event that someone here hasn't seen AOU yet, but I'll just say that I feel like certain members of the world and one member of the Avengers in particular would have several words to say to Tony Stark, and the fact that there was never even a scene between the two of them is a punch that was pulled. And just bad writing frankly.
  12. DC is certainly taking the extra step for Suicide Squad by bringing in their two biggest draws to be supporting players, it's a smart insurance policy.
  13. Marvel needs to get a little more harder edged too, with the exception of the Captain America movies, there is definitely a feeling of punches being pulled when it comes to villains and violence. That's one of the biggest problems I had with Age of Ultron, they weren't willing to really deal with the consequences of what was taking place on screen, and there should have been major fallout after what took place but there wasn't. There's a little too much of a desire to say "Don't worry, everyone was OK!" after the movie is over, and sometimes you need to feel the pain a little more. It's part of the reason why they are so successful because these movies are accessible to people of almost any age, but sometimes I think that also takes away from the story they are trying to tell.
  14. They're available on Amazon for only .50 more than the Con price.
  15. Thunderbolts would be an awesome movie or show I think, but Marvel would have to start taking their villains seriously and letting them live.
  16. It seems to me like every other toyline almost has had something representing Stan except for the Marvel lines. Simpsons, 1:6 Scale, MOTUC have all made him, I feel like I'm forgetting some too. I know he's in the Lego Marvel games.
  17. I'm starting to get the impression that Marvel wants to elevate every single C and D list character so they can potentially make a movie or Netflix show about them.
  18. The new movie was one of the worst movies I have ever seen. And I'm not even saying that because I didn't like what they did with the Turtles, I went into it not expecting it to be a great adaptation of them, but I thought it was just terrible in every sense. Nothing I'm seeing about this new one makes me feel any differently.
  19. I don't have the problem with Menagerie that a lot of you do, it certainly sucks if he's buying them before anyone even got the chance to get them and then marking them up, but I have also been able to get singles from him for cheaper than I could get anywhere else for 'mates that are a few years old. He has his positives and negatives.
  20. I just wish we could get an all-villain box set outside of the zombie theme. We've had a couple over the line's history, but it's very rare.
  21. Are the clues you're referring to the complete absence or suggestion that they were coming? To throw us off the scent?
  22. Someone asked them about that, and they said that they weren't allowed to make the X-Men version of Onslaught in a Captain America wave, I believe it was Marvel's decision.
  23. Wow, that's literally what happened.
