  1. I just find it massively hypocritical that it's acceptable to make a film that is designed to make money, and spend millions of dollars to bring it to the screen in hopes of making millions more, but representing those same characters in exactly the style they were presented in the film is somehow offensive. Now if somebody thinks the movie is offensive, I think they are wrong but I can't fault them are standing by what they believe, but I really cannot see how it's acceptable to make a film about the subject matter but making plastic representations of those characters is not acceptable. If Calvin came with "slave whipping action," then maybe I could see their point, but as it is I think it's a case of people getting mad because they want to get mad about something, and part of the new trend of professionally offended people.
  2. I guess this shows where my allegiance lies, but I would rather go out and get these on the fourth than the Star Wars stuff. Although I might still pick up something from Star Wars as well. If Zach is around, you have alluded to a few series being planned out, are there any new characters planned that we haven't gotten in any form before, besides Squirrel Girl and Giant Size Man Thing?
  3. I know, I was just trying to explain why this one thing in the world of strange things stood out. I think it's also strange when you see clothes on a CGI/make up created thing, I had the same feeling about Dr. Manhattan.
  4. I hate EVERYTHING about that article. I especially admire the writer for doing such a good job of being objective.
  5. I meant in the sense that it appears he can create his outfit to be anything out of his body, it just seems odd that he would put "normal" clothes on over his body. I don't know, it's just a strange notion to me.
  6. I hope Douglas comes back at some point, he was the highlight of the film for me.
  7. Kevin Feige said she would not be in this movie, but you never know.
  8. I've read that the incident takes place in Civil War, and they reference the other events as further proof that super humans are getting out of hand.
  9. I'm also hoping Daredevil shows up as a surprise in the final action sequence. There has to be one character from every movie that doesn't get a 'mate, and he seems ideal.
  10. My theory is that Red Hulk will play the role that the fake Thor played in the comic book Civil War. He will show up and everyone will think that Banner is on Tony Stark's side, he will go too far, and that will result in the real Bruce showing up. Something has to happen for people to start to question the side they are on, and the death of Goliath was that moment in the comic book, I feel like they will go for something similar here. After seeing AOU, it certainly doesn't seem out of character for Tony to say "Screw it, things will work out." and unleash Red Hulk. I hope he gets curb stomped by Cap at some point in this movie...
  11. I'm not basing this on any inside information, but I think the rumor of Bruce Banner being spotted on set and the return of General Ross means that they are going to be going in an interesting direction....
  12. Captain America/Crossbones Iron Man/Scarlet Witch Falcon/Winter Soldier TRU: Black Panther/Black Widow Baron Zemo/Hawkeye Spider-Man/Ant-Man General Ross/REDACTED Vision/War Machine Obviously there are spaces to fill, but I don't know enough to guess beyond that yet.
  13. I had heard that, on this board I think, I think my brain just rejects that spelling. It wants to read it as "Clue." And I like Phasing Vision, even if he didn't phase in a big bad way in the movie we have the option to mix and match the regular and phasing versions to suit whatever your phasing needs might be.
  14. You got that right. I wanted/want to build up my numbers of Ultron drones, and somehow I ended up with an army of the Iron Legion, and an incomplete army at that. I'm definitely liking the Hydra soldier though, maybe it's the G.I. Joe fan in me as well, but I want to pick up a bunch of those guys for a winter themed diorama. I know it was a decision made in the film and not the 'mates, but I really wish they would just call him Klaw. In a movie with a genocidal robot, a Hulk, a humanoid android and a magic wand Loki Pokey Stick, they think the spelling of the name matters? And yes, I know that's from the comics. But still, just call him Klaw.
  15. My guess is someone at Marvel decided they could hang onto the Grey Hulk for a bigger plot development one day. I don't believe for a second that people were campaigning against it as they said in that article.
  16. Oh no, I'm glad the Grey Hulk made it into the wave. I'm disappointed it didn't make it into the movie. I don't want to come off incorrectly.
  17. In case you want to know more. http://www.slashfilm.com/grey-hulk-in-avengers-age-of-ultron/
  18. Because he was originally going to be, and they changed it right before the release.
  19. That Grey Hulk makes me sad. Thanks Whedon!!
  20. Yeah, that whole mess. What a bunch of A-Holes. And not cool ones like the Guardians of the Galaxy.
  21. They all look good, I have been looking forward to this wave for quite a while. I still find the inclusion of Carnage to be puzzling, especially considering they just put out another one not too long ago. There was so much desire to see a new one for so long, and to do two so close together, it seems like they undercut their own demand a bit.
