I ended up picking up a few of these too. I have Angel, Oz, Spike, the Halloween set, and the Gentlemen boxset from Buffy. They are ok, but don't hold a candle to my minimates. Oh yeah, I have a Die Hard figure too, but no idea which one. I pretty much just opened them, looked at em and put them in a box, where they still sit to this day. I was thinking of throwing them on Ebay one of these days.

Yeah, how was the chrome done?? It looks so sharp. Great job. As for Panthro, I'd keep him the same size as Lion-O. In the cartoon and comics, he wasn't any taller, he just looked like his shoulders were a bit wider.

Is it possible for someone to hook me up with The Hobgoblin/Spidey set, and the new zombie set with Black Panther if it is out? I can pay via paypal, or am willing to trade my custom Deadpool for a set.

Finally found an FYE 35 miles away. I drove there to find out that they have no idea what a minimate is. I hope I don't have to resort to ebay to get a set. This really sucks.

Yup, that's your design. I had a different version with your design posted a while back, but i wasn't quite happy with it. I gave him different hair and Punisher's coat and think he looks much better now.

Alright, here are my newest ones. Criticism is alway appreciated. First up are a few members of Exiles. Those of you who j=have never read the comics should get the trade paper backs. The early stuff was amazing. The comic has gone a bit downhill as of late though:( Next is Spider from the Exiles comic. He is not a member of the Exiles though, but a member of Weapon X, which is a team that pops up from time to time in the Exiles comic. For some reason the detail on him smeared a tad once I put the decal on the actual mate. I tried it a few times and I kept getting the same results. Next up is Sunfire. I also have a modern looking version (aka AOA style) in the works. Up next is one of the most requested mates ever......Deadpool. I went with the original looking version over the current outfit he wears. I am hoping we will get an official version of him within the next two waves. I'd love to see him packaged with Cable. Next up is a Hand ninja, and just another ninja in black. I am finishing up a few mare Hand ninjas because one just isn't enough. Finally is my updated Gambit. I wasn't happy with the first one I made, and think this one looks a bit better. I have a few more minimates in the works, unfortunately I'm temporarily out of decal paper.

If you decide not to go the airbrushing route, then I suggest Citadel paints. They are around $4.00 each, but are worth it. I just use a white primer before painting. If you are looking for waterslide decals, then check out www.decalpaper.com. That is where I buy mine from, which reminds me, I'm all out of white decal paper:(

Good job on the latest bunch. Toxin is my favorite out of all your customs. I wonder if we will ever get an official one. Keep it up!

I tried airbrushing a minimate and didn't like the results. It was my first time airbrushing, but I figured I'm better off painting by hand and using decals. I think minimyte airbrushes his mates, but I could be wrong. I know that the paint aps on his customs look to perfect to be all hand painted. Chime in here minimyte if I'm incorrect.

I also use Adobe Illustrator. I have no idea how to use it either lol. I have kinda self-taught myself the basic stuff though. I definitely recommend it. Decals look so much cleaner than trying to paint all the little details, although there are a few members on here who have amazing skills when it comes to painting. Also I suggest using a white primer on the mates before painting. That way there are less coats of paint that you have to put on.

So are these gonna be Marvel Legend sized, or smaller like the Spiderman movie wave? edit: apparently these are gonna be 6 inches. I agree that these are the best looking out of all the Marvel Legends looking figures since Hasbro took over.

So have we figured out exactly why these have been sent out? I participated in the Target giveaway, but never got anything (I'm not complaining by the way). Did chuck ever give a definite answer on how they chose who got these?

I'm more of a superhero minimate collector too, but I gotta say I have liked the non-superhero mates that we have gotten so far. I still colllect the non-superhero mates, but I'm not in any hurry to get them like I am with Marvel and DC mates. At this point I have BTTF wave 1, Star Trek wave 1, 24 wave 1, Battlestar Galactica waves 1, 2 and I picked up 1 set today from series 3, and the first Rocky set. I know I'm missing a lot of non-superhero mates, but like I said I'm not in a hurry to get them. It helps knowing that I'm the only one that collects minimates from my local comic book store. He orders them for me exclusively. By the way, anyone looking for the variant sets from Battlestar Galactica or Star Trek drop me a line. I have been getting them for myself, but I'm willing to trade them for other mates that I need.

$119.95 for them.....wow I'm speechless. Glad I don't collect them. I would love to see these as minimates though. I would love to see an Aliens vs. Predator set of minimates. Those would rock. As long as they're based on the new AvsP movie and not the crappy first one.

Well, I was about to update my thread with some new customs (haven't slept in over 24 hours, been busy working on customs) when I realized that I borrowed my camera to my friend for his trip to Brazil. I think he is back tomorrow, so stay tuned. I got a few of them to post.

Congrats and I'm glad to hear your now the father of a healthy baby girl. Enjoy her while she's little. I have a 10 yr old daughter and she can be pretty difficult at times lol.

We need ninjas, lots and lots of ninjas. Some in red, black, and white would be cool. The red ones would be cool to use as The Hand ninjas. Maybe I'll just create some decals myself. They gotta be pretty easy to do. Edit: well, I went and made some ninja decals. Unfortunately my camera is lent out so I can't post pics. I'll try to get them up in the next few days.

I believe the unmasked Green Goblin was part of the now M.I.A. Target wave. I'm sure we'll see him used somewhere down the line.

Alright Nervous, you have held out on us long enough. Lets see some new customs. I know ya got some. You mention Panthro almost a year ago (Feb. I believe), plus new GI Joe minis. I think you have the best customs out of everyone on here and that is saying alot cuz there are some kick ass customizers on here.

Any chance for comic characters from another comic company? I know that you said that the Indymates set sold very poorly, but I think that is because of the characters you chose. I was familiar with all of them, but I know a lot of other people weren't. I'd love to see a Cyberforce set, or an old school Wetworks set, not to mention characters like the Darkness, Pitt, and The Savage Dragon.

I am kinda pissed that they are adding things. I bought a bunch of stuff I didn't need just so I could get the Spidey. I also spent more money to get the Defenders set since it wasn't included in the deal, but now it is. I would have just bought 2 of the Defenders sets and but done with it, but nooooo, it wasn't included at the time. That's my luck though. If I would have waited a few more day it all would have been fine. Oh well, at least we have the opportunity to get this Spidey. He is a variant that I was not really expecting to see.

Unfortunately there are no FYE stores near me. I'm gonna lose out on these like I did the Cylon box set.
