  1. Finished my Generation Next AOA kids today on lunch. Mondo, Chamber, and Skin: M/Know-it-all, Husk, and Vincente: And all together, minus their leaders Shadowcat and Colossus. Now to finish Mikhail...
  2. Because no one's demanding it.... GENERATION X. Skin/M Penance/Chamber Husk/Synch Mondo/Banshee Emplate/ X-Cutionerperhaps Stan Lee in top hat as seen in issue  We could get some cool new sculpts from the hair/hand spikes of Penance to the stretchy arms of Skin. Plus, I'd love to see how DST would model Husk shedding her skin. A great wave to get the whole team (add your own White Queen)and some much needed new parts for customs....('course now I've almost finished my AOA Generation Next team customs- pics coming soon).
  3. Back again to AOA, here's my Skin face and chest decal. I used the Mole Man head to get that drooping skin look:
  4. Still have to finish Mrs. Peacock and Mr. Body, but I couldn't wait to see how my Clue movie customs would look together in this setting....
  5. Thanks! I think Skin will be equally impressive using the remaining parts from the gb theater ghost. wish I would have bought a few extras. Looking for a few mvc3 super skrulls if anyone has extra for trade.
  6. Finished AOA Chamber as well. It's been a good day today.
  7. Decided to tackle M/Know-it-all in a different way than just making her into a minimate. Since she was only seen on-screen throughout the Generation Next books- I thought I'd try making her as an all illustrator custom. Here's what I came up with: Very happy with how this came out. Not sure how I want to handle the construction of it to 3-D. I'm thinking I'll print just the screen image and glue it to foam core or possibly Lego blocks to make the console.
  8. I love those Multiple Men/Mans (?) They look pretty easy to make...except for tracking down all the trenchcoats. Which figure was that from?
  9. Nevermind on Thing. Found one in my case. AND....thanks to that digging I've found parts to make even more AOA Minimates. Coming soon to a thread near you: - Husk X Chamber - Skin - Vincente - Mondo X M/Know-it-all
  10. Thanks sooo much for this! I'd save articles from Toyfare/Wizard over the years but somehow this got lost in the shuffle. This just made my day.
  11. I just have to finish Mrs. Peacock and I'll post my customs soon.
  12. I love this line simply for the long overdue hats- baseball cap, cowboy hat (Logan's was awful). I can finally finish Ellis from Left4Dead2.
  13. Say, does anyone have a Best of wave Thing for trade? PM me if you do. I have an extra Haggar if anyone is interested..
  14. I thought they were going to do the train wheel/dusty delorean still....? It'd come in two versions one with Clara the other with Marty in his derby and pink shirt.
  15. I'd love to see a Lego Time Train with Clara should these actually be released. 'Course, it'd retail for $90.
  16. Love those rock pieces! Now hulk can truly SMASH!
  17. Thanks! I didn't plan on making him originally until I found the right coat and thanks to an extra aoa cyclops's visor I needed for my Guido I had the hair as well. Funny thing when assembling customs you never know what might come in handy later. Had some ideas for some more aoa customs but have to go parts digging first in my many storage containers.
  18. So, no one's on the TMNT bandwagon then? The archie comic/cartoon series has PLENTY of colorful and odd looking characters that would make for an awesome minimate line. PLUS- army builder foot soliders! Just sayin'.
  19. Assembled my DC Lego set on lunch. My TRU also had series 7 of the minifigures. So naturally my friend and I began to crinkle every bag for pieces/parts that would give it away. There were lots of Montezumas. One Little Red Riding Hood and several Cyborgs. Be careful if you are looking for the Jem and the Holograms rocker- her hair and the tennis player are similar. Feel for the racket instead. I picked out the Rabbit suit, Mer-man King, and my favorite- the hippy, tortured here... Getting back to customs, I finished X-man too: ...and repainted Iceman as I wasn't happy with my earlier paint job: Happy Friday! Forgot to mention the X-Man face and chest decal were from Luke's, slightly modified to include thicker eyes w/o pupils and the buckles on his chest.
  20. I missed out entirely on the original DC batch of minimates. I was content with my Action League figures filling the void next to my Marvel minimates. Then I spotted the new DC Lego collection and picked up the Lex-Bot with Wondy and Supes. Now that has replaced Action League. However.... As much as I'd love a brotherhood of evil mutants Toad, Pyro, Avalance, and Destiny, there's so many characters DC could release which means getting figures of my favorites along with opening the floodgates to new fodder parts. So....
  21. Not custom related, but I just picked up the DC Lego Luthor Bot with Superman and Wonder Woman. Absolutely love it. Hope to see a Flash turn up soon along with the rest of the JLA in Lego form. Still...
  22. Some awesome looking customs there! I agree with you when it comes to making them. I tested a friend of mine at work with my aoa customs as to which were the real and which were the customs. Fooled him on a couple. (:
  23. Thanks- I agree, I think AOA makes for great looking toys that really pop with all the yellows and blues. Especially in my drab gray cubicle where I house my collection. It's funny when people stop by and say: "Wow, you have a lot of LEGOS". I'm looking to recreate the Alpha and Omega covers- but waiting on the release of the Aussie X-Men set to make AOA Colossus. So I lied. I have three characters left to make: Mikhail, X-Man, Colossus.
  24. Thanks! I only have two more figures to go....
  25. Finished AOA Jubilee and Lila Cheney: This concludes my Gambit and the X-Ternals team customs. I plan to do a much better team photo once I finish ALL my AOA customs, but couldn't resist a quick shot:
