  1. Ok following on from my previous blog entry of Bruce Wayne to Batman. I have used the similar formula for this latest entry. This time round I'm discussing earths mightiest heroes.... The Avengers Hope you like the blog, thank you in advance for taking the time, if you read it. Rich
  2. So sorry I missed this. Happy Birthday to you Bob! Glad to hear you had a great day!
  3. haha check out that Angry Cobra Commander in front of his soldiers... quality picture!
  4. Oh Awesome!! Thanks for reposting the link, you might wanna put the actual new link on the first page or get a mod to edit that first post to show it. Looking at your customs now. They really are fantastic. Storm Shadow & Destro are great and I also like the CG & Viper you've done. My favourite is the Cobra Commander. What an awesome figure. I love how shiney you've done the chrome bit of his face it looks so realistic! I also love the Gungho, Snake Eyes and Snow Job! Awesome work dude and much respect to you! thanks for sharing them.
  5. Hey Nervous. I've been sent to this thread by karamazov, from the gijoe minimate thread? I'm having trouble seeing any of your pictures, did they get removed from this thread? Is there any chance you have pictures up on a folder at photobucket or anything. I particularly would like to see the gijoe ones and any others you've done? If not maybe email me pictures instead? Thanks buddy
  6. Thank you very much for the recipe I now need to put these on my wanted/parts list. I'll have to get some money first for them LOL! I dont think painting the hawaiian will be too bad, i managed it good enough on the gijoe figure i think.
  7. Nervous, I think your priorities are shot if Joe customs don't trump everything else. Family, food, and physical survival included. Saboteur, you should check out Nervous's custom thread. He created some awesome Joe creations that I wish I had. *runs off to check out those customs*
  8. oh man... that storm shadow.. the intensity in his eyes its awesome... come on DST and Hasbro get some Joe-Mates out onto the market. It would be good to see a Snake Eyes/Storm Shadow Minimate 2pack! I'd also like to get Firefly in Minimate form. Thanks for sharing those close ups
  9. Awesome. Are those customs you've done yourself or got someone else to do them for you? Have any close up pics of them?
  10. Yes lol! However my thought was that we'd get A-Team Minimates. Perhaps two different styles. Vintage and Movie.. Perhaps the Vintage one would sell out more. But still bring in new fans to both the A-Team series as well as the Minimates themselves. Even non-minimate collectors who like the A-Team would buy them up. Especially if they were done under the vintage characters, released around the same time as the film
  11. Just a quick thought guys regarding future Minimate licenses. Theres supposed to be a New A-Team film due out this year isnt there? Rampage Jackson is playing BA Barracus? I sanction that we have new A-Team Minimates. They could do a 4pack for them.
  12. That is awesome! I just saw a Crimson Guard and Outback custom too in the customs section of this board, very very cool! Which Minimates have you collected?
  13. Oh my! Well all i can say is thank the minimate lord for FPI and ebay and Amazon!
  14. I dont have any money left!! I have Series 31 in my checkout at the comic book store forbidden planet but no money to buy them... I wonder if i should ask my best mate to postpone his wedding this Saturday... just so I can buy these minimates
  15. @ mabait1020 Thanks for posting up Individual out of Packet Pictures. Will these be available at Comic Book Shops in the UK yet? Is it a Worldwide release?
  16. You know your a Minimate addict when... You've had a few sleepless nights recently.. and sit up wondering.. just how the hell did I manage without them before??? Speaking from a relatively new minimate collector.. this definately applies to me.. I've collected lots of other lines but this one rocks!!
  17. Hey Guys. I've gone for something a little different on this 3rd contribution. It doesn't so much deal with the character of the minimate like the previous two blog posts instead focuses on the actual minimate and exposes some of the cool advantages to the design. Hope you like the pictures and the blog. Bruce Wayne to Batman Thanks in advance for your ideas and comments. Rich
  18. Probably My favourite thread I've seen this week. Awesome  My favourites so far.... "Minimate Database" is bookmarked. You make sure the eyes on the character's head line up perfectly with the eyes on their slip-on mask (because otherwise they can't see!) When you think of money not in it's classical denomination but in the amount of Minimates it will purchase. It's not $50 it's 7 Two packs. HAHA! I recently passed on dinner while in town, just so I could buy one extra 2pack of Minimates.
  19. WOAH! *applauds* awesome work with the Siegies! Very cool. I always wondered what Crimson Guard would look like in a Minimate form. I hope Hasbro realises how awesome Minimates are and do some kind of deal with DST to release a set of Minimates. two 4 packs would be cool! One Joe One Cobra. What parts did you use for the Crimson Guard? you've done a really good job on these.
  20. Not so much a funny caption. But rather amusing to see that Minimates are just as prone to hospital visits as we humans are! I have various replacements lined up already, thanks to those who have agreed to help out. what is rather disturbing is the flash smiling at his missing left foot! haha
  21. So I've been putting my minimate figure photos up on flickr, one of my contacts sent me an internal message to tell me that seeing as though I have Green Lantern Hal Jordan as well as the Spectre, I should have a go at creating the Hal Jordan Spectre. I must confess that my knowledge of comic book super heroes and villains is quite limited and i'm learning as I collect. Not to be deterred from making this figure from the two that I had I done a search on google using the idea my friend had. I got this. Spectre - Hal Jordan So i set about dismantling the two figures I had and used that image as my guide to come up with this.. What do you guys think? Is this an idea already coined by other collectors? I shown it my friend contact and he liked it, so do I, and he also mentioned to post it up on the forum to see what other minimate/comic book fans think of it.
  22. Awesome idea! these frankenmates are really funny, well done to Luke for doing this
  23. I'm playing the Lego Batman game which i got for christmas off a friend, and I'm also playing PES2010. (I am addicted to Master League) I noticed after the completion of the first level in the Batman game that the lego Batcave looks awesome, so very well designed.
  24. Not necessarily wacky, but i posted this up on flickr.com recently. My minimates hold a party, hosted by Bruce Wayne.. although he somehow made more than one appearance throughout the night in various different suits. Sub-Mariner doesn't like Ultrons appearance and Catwoman is going to get catty with Ms.Marvel. Wolverine is about to pick an argument with himself in another attire while Colossus questions his judgement. Hulk tries to scare everyone by throwing his arms in the air and partying... erm.. none attendees are Professor Xavier (missing foot), The Flash (Missing Foot), the Joker (Has a serious case of alopecia) and Luke Cage despite being brand new from package has a broken left arm? I done this picture to show my small collection of minimates, I've been collecting since the beginning of December and i'm not doing too badly, I'm at about the 30 or so mark. I intend to do a picture like this again at the end of February to see what other new figures I have.
