  1. I just recently got the RIB beach assault and can confirm that these are awesome. They are just like mini G.I. Joes, I've been in mega bloks corner for a long time and its nice to see them continue to innovate in the world of block figures. The actual blocks have the strongest clutch yet and is equal, if not better, then lego. If anyone wants or needs more comparison pictures let me know.
  2. Update! What time is it? Adventure Time Fin was made using a 2 inch jazwares Fin head and backpack For Jake I hade to plug a hole in his stomach and hollow him out. Ice King was made by chopping off his arms and putting ball joints in the shoulders. I didn't do anything to the penguins. The next figure is one that I've had done for a long while but finally took pictures of. Slender man was made shortly after the big boom in his popularity. The tentacles are from a mega bloks venom and held in place with marvel mega bloks hands. That's all for now. Thanks for looking.
  3. Awesome pictures. Your lighting is always top notch.
  4. That was fun. Congratulations to battlecat.
  5. Thanks so much for the codes. My niece just got a wii and is into all things Mario. I was able to pick up peach, daisy, and wario (already had Mario, Luigi, Yoshi, and Bowser) for her to play with.
  6. Asked my mom for 3 quick numbers, hope they are lucky. 543
  7. Good job on all of these. My favorite is still the Goku, he turned out so well.
  8. Man, i am making some of these for my self. Scud is fantastic, that first cable is what I was going to try to make and now I think I know what parts to use. That solid snake is great. The extreme damage wolverine has my jaw on the floor, it would be stupid for dst not to try for this look.
  9. Great work. I thought the Vader head was from something else, to find out you sculpted it was mind blowing. Can't wait to see what you make next.
  10. Great work Fizzle. We need more view askew mates so you can fill that bad boy up.
  11. Happy birthday to you rsprin, happy birthday to you Deadpool, aaaannnndddd happy birthday to you Leaderfox.
  12. For me I always loved smaller figures. I had m.a.s.k. and all the knock offs, then I moved on to zbots and whatever fad was going on. Lego was my next love, the mini figs were iconic and easy for a starting customizer, but expensive(no blind bags back then ). I started yearning for more articulation so I dropped the minifigs and picked up my transformers collection. Hasbro had me for a while, the cybertron trilogy and classics were my jam. I collected them till the bayformers came about, I just really really hate what bay did for the universe and the character designs. I was thinking about picking up lego again but this was around 2009, the 25th anniversity of ghostbusters. My home page was a ghostbusters fan site and there was news everyday, about the game and Mattels line. Then I saw a picture of what peaked my intrest, gb Kubricks. I looked into them and found them incredibly tempting but realized they would be expensive and import only. Sad, I went back on my computer to find that another company got rights to make ghostbusters figures called minimates. Looked into them, found this site and got really happy. The next time I was out at toys r us i found the marvel wave with hulk/iron man, Spider-Man/green goblin and punisher war zone two pack. I was blown away that punisher came with so many accessories and that they all could be stored on the figure. I echo alot of the same points of intrest for the figures, the amount of articulation, number of licenses, and general attitude towards the licenses shows these are for collectors by collectors. I hope minimates are around for awhile, I have no problem buying into lines if the designs are solid and the figure is intresting. These have been great stories guys, always fun to to learn why different people got in to the figures.
  13. Happy happy birthday. Enjoy this day, your kids will keep you busy for the other 364 days.
  14. Man this set looks sooooooo good. I want multiples but that might not be possible, like Zack said, these will sell like gangbusters.
  15. Coming from another transformers customizer, let me just say wow. Seeing Polaris from the start to finish was great. The end result looks fabulous, you sould be proud. Transformers can definitely be headaches but you knocked all of them out of the park. No doubt your buddy will love that Frenzy.
  16. I think a lot of people have the mentality that a custom needs to have sculpting and a new paint job. This just proves them wrong. As the other members have said simple customs are sometimes the best. With all the minimates that have been produced, everyone can make their own version of the characters as they interpret it. Your customs are great representations and have me thinking about doing these changes to my figures. Keep up the good work, I'll be keeping my eye on this thread for sure.
  17. Have to say, your decal work is splendid viewing for my eyes. Glad you tried customs because you sure as hell did a great job updating the older mates.
  18. Beautiful. These are, hands down some of the best battle beast customs I have laid eyes on. Do you plan to give them any "western" style weapons? I'm looking forward to seeing more.
  19. Kick ass looks awesome. The sculpting is really clean and well done! The last of us customs are nice, are you going to make the enemys from the game too?
  20. Happy Birthday, may you stay alive for as long as mmmv stays on the Internet (that better be forever).
  21. Nice work, you really go the extra mile in bringing these mates to life with your writing.
  22. Thanks so much for the kind words everybody. Shaggy's hair is not perfect but it works fine for me until I can sculpt a new one. On to the new... Batman from the Arkham games. (I swear the sticker doesn't look that bad in real life) Next up are my Mortal Kombat mates. I ended up only making three. Johnny was more of a QC Thanks for looking.
  23. Wow, beautiful work. Love how seemless the decals are.
