  1. Nice to have you with us! Hope you don't get a 'chilly' reception. Get it? Chilly? Ah, never mind.
  2. Payment for one pack has been sent! Thanks again Shane!
  3. Stunning... I still can't believe these are happening. I've wanted BTTF figures since '85. These look amazing and can't come fast enough!
  4. It looks like Tony should have been done as a 2.5" or maybe even a 3" figure. He is a giant tiger, after all. But I'll still get all these, eventually.
  5. Just had a look at the poster.... Hmmmm.... I'm digging the suit design, but the poster itself does nothing for me. It looks rather like a straight-to-video low budget superhero film. I love the casting, especially RDJR as Tony, so I'm hoping the actual film will eclipse this standard-ish poster.
  6. Gotta go with 94. It was the year I graduated high school, the key issue of Uncanny X-Men, and the docking bay on Mos Eisley where the Falcon was parked. 94!
  7. neolego, I like a lot of what you wrote. There are definitely some awesome moments that I can visualize from what you've got there, and I love the idea of involving Tidal Wave. However, you've got virtually nothing for the humans to do! Of course Sam should return with Bumblebee, because at the end of the first one, he chooses for Bumblebee to remain with him on Earth. Perhaps a good source of drama would be if Sam starts doubting whether or not the Transformers should even be on Earth, given the amount of death & destruction that they bring. Sam may even have to choose, keep his car/friend Bumblebee, or save the world/parents/girl in the big final scene. Perhaps the Decepticons could form an allegiance with the US military (they are deceptive, after all). This would put Sam and the Autobots on the outs with society, and give them a mission - convince the world that the Decepticons are up to no good. I could do without John Turturro and the computer hackers this time around, but I would like to see Josh Duhamel again. Maybe he's the lone voice of reason in the military. Somewhere in there, fit in the Constructicons (even though the name Devastator has been used), Tidal Wave, and maybe the Dinobots, and you've got a winner! Oh, and resurrect Megatron as Galvatron (this time, maybe looking a little more like the ol' cartoon version) as a counter to Starscream. I'll go see it.
  8. I've got the Darth Vader Transformer and some Alternators, and I've also found that often times parts will come right off. It's due to there being so much plastic. The old metal G1 Transformers were so much more durable. Hasbro makes the new ones so that the parts can be reattached, so you don't have a toy that's 'broken,' it's just 'disassembled.' It means the kid (or parents) can repair it at home, without sending it in for replacement. Every time I transform Alternators Prime, I just pop off the front bumper parts, transform the rest, and pop the bumper parts back on. It's annoying, but it's easier that way.
  9. I play with my friend's Wii (snicker snicker) whenever I get the chance. I'm hoping to get one for my wife & I this Christmas. We have a PS2 but hardly ever play it. We're not into button mashing and combos and high-def graphics, we just want to pick up the controller and have fun. We're definitely getting the Star Wars Lego game. Wii rules!
  10. I'm skipping this wave for now, but I may pick these up if I can trade for them or if I find them cheap. They're nicely designed, just not a priority at the moment.
  11. Alright, it's settled. I'm getting a 20th Anniversary Prime (or Takara version or whatever). These two pics made up my mind: http://seibertron.com/toys/fullsize.php?id...=1â„‘=92 http://seibertron.com/toys/fullsize.php?id...=1â„‘=22 I mean, how friggin' cool is that!
  12. Thanks for the tip, NightViper. I may go with a Leader Class Prime (especially if they go on clearance later this summer), or I may pick up a 20th Anniversary Prime. I've already got the Alternators Prime (Dodge pickup), which is a good toy, but just doesn't FEEL like Prime, you know?
  13. I've got a question for you fans of Alternators & the movie toys. What one movie version of Optimus Prime would you recommend to complement the Alternators line? I'd like to get one that closely matches the 1:24 scale in vehicle mode. Thanks!
  14. Yeah, the Hydroman effect is really cool, and I like what you did with Chameleon too!
  15. Just saw the film and, honestly, I loved it. Easily my favorite Michael Bay film, favorite summer 2007 movie, and I might even buy it on DVD. Was it the Transformers I grew up with? Well, yes and no. I really hope the next film (you know there will be another) will let us get to know the Decepticons more. This was really the Autobots' movie. Seeing the Autobots rolling through the desert in formation, man, that made me smile. The final battle was just chaos, but done in a really cool way. In some parts, I had a hard time figuring out what robot was which, and I was always glad whenever the camera would go to slow-mo, because there's so much detail to take in. I wasn't all that crazy about Frenzy, he hammed it up too much and looked like a pile of scissors. I have four Alternators, and before seeing this movie, I considered selling them off, but now, no way! TRANSFORMERS RULE!
  16. Harsh, Jason. I'm really looking forward to getting this set. Yeah, there's only one new character, but every figure in this set seems to be the best version of each character released so far. That's just fine in my book.
  17. http://www.rambles.net/spman_torment.html Here's a summary of the storyline, but doesn't have a lot of details. Funny thing, I remember buying and reading these comics back in the day, but I didn't remember the storyline at all. I do remember getting issue #1 with different covers in gold ink, silver ink, and I think there were different colored backgrounds maybe, plus newsstand and comic shop versions of all those. Quite the effective marketing ploy to get you to buy lots of copies of the same book!
  18. Please put me down for one set. Too much dough in my PayPal balance anyway. More zombies... can't beat it!
  19. I just read through this thread, and this is a sock in the gut. Like many others, I've used your (Danny's) site countless times for countless reasons. I do hope you will consider keeping it open and letting other people submit reviews.
  20. How about a historical figure, like Abraham Lincoln or Cleopatra? Albert Einstein would be pretty cool.
  21. Personally, I'm not that much into blanks, though I'd buy a MMMV blank to support the site. I think doing a licensed character would be the only way to go, no matter what the property would be. That would bring in interest from all the collectors who just have to have a complete run of characters. And it would probably bring in a lot of new members. Hell, why not go all-in, and do a MMMV-exclusive LOTR wave 3? The designs are in place, right?
  22. You know what I hate? Threads dedicated to complaining. I mean, why would we even have such a thing? In fact, I feel like expressing my extreme dislike for complaint threads, and I'd go so far as to type out my bitter thoughts. Now if only there was some area of the internet where all of our complaints could be collected... Also, I hate self-referential humor!
  23. I got a Wizard World yellow blank. Was hoping for a Cylon Elf, but then again, weren't we all!
  24. Well, I had forgotten that the Target Spidey wave wasn't the same as the movie SM3 mates, sorry about that. I swear, there's so many Spidey 'mates coming out, I know I'm going to get confused even after I have them all! And thanks for the link to the timeline post, that's helpful. Guess I was just venting a little because it's been awhile since I've had a decent minimate haul! But I still think the Powers That Be need to work on getting the movie-related 'mates out at the same time as the films. Just speaking as a fan who wants minimates to sell well!
