I am almost finished with the demo, which I will be releasing next week. It will include the first two levels of the game, which take place in a retail warehouse where alien weapons are secretly being shipped. I use Testor's Dull Coat, and it works great except it will make permanent marker bleed (permanent my ass). So if you are using a sharpie or anything, use it after putting the sealant coat on. I buy it at my hobby shop, and usually only need two coats.

If this one is successful, I think a Toys for Tots one later in the year is a great idea.

I like JP's idea of making a non-licensed army builder like a ninja. It could be mostly a blank to save on paint costs, but have more detail than a blank.

I don't play with them very often, but when I do, it is usually one-on-one fights. My favorites have been Spider-Man vs Carnage (since that was my first set) and Thing vs Hulk.

Seeing that list makes me all excited. This should be a fun project for all of us!

You are definitely not too late. We are still discussing all the specifics. Welcome aboard.

I think it would be alright if we got our picks organized now, as long as the deadline for this was at least a week after the movie poster contest deadline. It would make the total time for this event longer, but I'm sure some people would appreciate the extra time. And for those people who tend to finish their submissions in the last few days, they would be able to do that for both the movie poster contest, and then this event the following week or two.

I think that once we get started, people should be able to choose their monsters on a first-come-first-served basis. If someone is very passionate about doing the Phantom of the Opera, that will lead to a much better custom than if that person was randomly assigned to do Dracula. Not everyone is going to want to do the same custom, and we can always have zombies as an easy back-up choice.

I suppose these could also count as monsters, but they are definitely not as popular: * Headless Horseman * Jack the Ripper * Cyclops (greek mythology) * Medusa (greek mythology) * Minotaur * Yeti * Golem * Gremlin * Troll * A ghost

We might lose some people if customs are randomly assigned and the person either doesn't like their choice, or is uncomfortable with their choice. Just a thought.
