  1. Technically speaking, The Walrus is more of a Defenders villain than he is a Spider-Villain. it'd still be nice to see him though.
  2. I wasn't able to post this last night, but today's a new day. I took a pretty clear pic of that X-Force boxset last night, check it out here: http://twitgoo.com/19sdhx
  3. All the new mates look incredibly cool. I was superstoked to see em. Two things 1- not shown here is the uncanny xforce team. A box set with archangel, psylocke deadpool, and fantomex in their black uniforms. 2- that fourth character for the aoa box set is the dark beast, or at least that's who it looks like. Oh, also, that exclusive jubilee has a reversable head, its great.
  4. Who's Jack Monroe? Jack Monroe was the crazy, commie-smashing Bucky from the 1950s who was frozen and then dethawed years later. After he calmed down a bit (but not too much) he became Cap's partner and took over the mantle of Nomad. For a few years Jack lived on Cap's couch, fighting crime whenever he wasn't trying to hold down a job as a grocery bagger, and everything was groovy. Then the 90s struck and Jack went Grim and Gritty. In the early 90s (91-93, I believe), Jack was the star of his very own Nomad comic where the bright blues of the costume became blacks and the cape became a leather jacket. Also he started carrying a shotgun, and forcibly adopted a baby because, you know, the 90s. If you couldn't tell, I'm kind of a fan. So yeah, I'm all about a Nomad figure, but it would have to be Jack. Cap may have started the name, but it was Jack who defined it.
  5. What, no love for Jack Monroe? What's this world coming to? Monroe held that mantle for way longer than Rogers ever did and only gave it up because he was assassinated. Jack Monroe FOREVA!
  6. I found another batch of these (plus the new Ghostbuster minis) at the TRU in Atwater Village in Los Angeles. They had pretty much everyone, but only one Hulkbuster (which is amazing, BTW) which I grabbed. Just a heads up. Oh, also, that Hulkbuster was hiding in the overstock so, A- Don't forget to peek up there when you're looking. and B- If someone on this board hid it up there, I'm totally the one that stole it. Sorry about that. But hey, at least I'm not a scalper. Right?
  7. If there is an alternative, I haven't found it. You should just do what I do, Heli, pretend it's Tony having a relapse and those stains are actually his blotchy, bloated cheeks from too much Whiskey. Oh relapse Tony, you're my favorite variant ever.
  8. After a harrowing Friday afternoon drive, I found these at my local TRU. Well, almost. They had the entire wave except for the Hulkbuster Iron Man/ Gamma Hulk (or whatever). It's cool though because all I really wanted was Lockjaw. You guys wanna see some pictures? Hope you like em!
  9. I gotta say that Stilt Man rocks my face off! I can't stop looking at him, he's ridiculously menacing. I mean, he's menacing in a ridiculous way. He is far and away one of the best minimates in recent memory for me and might be, god forbid, my favorite ever... And I don't know how I feel about that...
  10. YES AND YES! I'll take the Slingers in any plastic form you got. Minimates? YES! Marvel Select? YES. Superhero Squad? Probably yes. Handful of Heroes? Ehhh... maybe. whatever, the point is that yeah, that's my dream set too.
  11. You know, with the suit being a chest piece instead of painted on, there might be a Jim Lee-Style shirt underneath. They have been known to do easter eggs like that. Also, unrelated to you Boyd, that head on The Thing is horrible. I can kinda dig all the sculpting, even though it's a little much, but that head just looks... cheap. Here's hoping the color's the same as the old Things so I can just do a head swap.
  12. I was wondering if we were ever going to get a traditional Bishop. Looks pretty good, even if it's a bit lacking in detail. I wonder what's next, 90s X-Factor? 90s Avengers?
  13. The more I think about it, the more I want a FrankenCastle and the Legion of Monsters 4-pack. It'd go something like this: FrankenCastle ManThing Jack Russel, The werewolf by night Mobius Man, I would totally plotz if this would happen. FrankenCastle is the BEST!
  14. Don't tease!!! I want an AOA Weapon X, AOA Jean Grey, AOA Blink and AOA Apocalyspe. With a second box set containing AOA Sunfire, AOA Magneto, AOA Rogue, and AOA Cyclops. Those would be awesome sets. Those would be awesome. I'm actually pretty surprised we haven't seen any of these yet. You'd figure an AOA Weapon X would've popped up years ago...
  15. Ha, it's about time punisher got a SDCC Punisher. Funny you say that because that Punisher is from SDCC. Another one would be pretty awesome though and a FrankenCastle would be even more so.
  16. I had a brainstorm today: What about The Agents of Atlas? They've been getting a huge push from Marvel of late, have a fun toy-etic cast (a giant monkey and Robot, come on!), and they're apparently fan favorites. Check it: SDCC Exclusive - Jimmy Woo (the special agent), Venus, M-13 (the robot), and Marvel Boy TRU Follow-up - Namora and Gorilla Man Bloomers! Instant success. Right?
  17. Pet Avengers Throg isn't really Thor... IIRC he was some regular frog who was somehow deemed worthy of wielding his own version of Mjolnir, kinda like an amphibian Beta Ray Bill. I believe he was saving his froggie friends from the evil NYC rats in Central Park and had come across a piece of Mjolnir and became Throg. It's been a while since I've read the story but the first mini-series is better than the current Unleashed mini. I still love the banter between Hairball and Ms. Lion! Page Actually Throg is a man who was cursed into being a frog. You see, his wife died and he couldn't take it so he did what any sane man would do and hit up every soothsayer he could find in an attempt to talk to her one last time. Of course he ran out of money as he went to the one witch that could help him out, and kinds stiffed her with the bill. She got angry and banished him to the Central Park swamp as a frog. Some time goes by and Thor ends up in the same swamp as a frog. The To-Be-Throg watched Thor rise up to defeat some evil rats or something, and found the inspiration to be a hero. Ultimately he found a splinter from the mighty Mjollnir, struck it upon the ground and found himself Throg, defender of the swamp. I'm kinda a big fan. Check out his highlights. So yeah, don't get me wrong I'm stoked about getting Lockjaw, and I would kill to get a Throg, but I just still think it's an odd choice.
  18. As excited as I am about LockJaw, am I the only one that's kinda surprised we saw this before we saw Kang? I'm just saying, that of all the characters to make Lockjaw seems low on that list, not to mention a pre-ninja psylocke. Oh well, I guess I can use her as Revanche if I ever want to reenact early 90s X-Men with my 'mates.
  19. I'd be more pissed it's 4chan. That place is...whooooo boy... explain and who do I contact about getting them pulled down. Not that i dont want other people to enjoy them but I would rather have them linked here...where I put them moc847 You don't need to worry about it, it'll disappear before too long. It's the way of 4chan. The deal with that place is actually pretty interesting. In a time where the internet is asking more and more personal information, 4chan stands as this bastion for remaining private, collectively known as anonymous. It was created in 2001 (I believe) as a random image board and has since expanded to multiple image boards, many if which aren't as... raw as the original board (/b/ if you're interested). Back to the point, there are no moderators there and really no one to talk to about taking something down. The best thing to do, when dealing with 4chan in general, is just to let it blow over. Once you start pushing to get something pulled, you leave yourself open to them pushing back, which is not something you want. Give it a day or two and the board will move on and your pictures will disappear from their archives and only exist on your harddrive and anyone else who saved them. Sorry if it's not the answer you really want to hear, but it's probably the best way to handle it. Try to take solace in the idea that people are enjoying your pictures, even if they don't know who shot them.
  20. Is it bad that I saw this and instantly thought to myself: Those aren't the New Defenders. But then I thought of who else was on the team and realized that would be a much better line up than Cloud, Angel (Again!), Beast (Again!), Iceman (Again!), or Candy Southern. Oh New Defenders, you're so lame, I can't help to love you. Also: You are most certainly not the only one who's a slinger's fan. It's a sweet series that never got the respect it desreved, and I would totally buy that boxset.
  21. I found these last night at both my TRUs, one in Burbank and the other in Glendale. It totally made my Thursday!
  22. I ran by my TRU last night to no avail. It looks like they're in the midst of their annual inventory process though, so I'd give it a week or two before anything really starts to pop up. Stupid post-Christmas slump.
  23. Do my eyes decieve me, or is menace on a glider? Since when is that okay? I wants me some goblin gliders!
  24. More craziness: Clue: Bro and sis Guess: Brother Voodoo and Sister Grimm I have a good feeling about Brother Voodoo (He is getting his own series after all), but I'm really not sold on the idea of Sister Grimm. Oh, I know! Maybe it's Satanna and Damion Hellstorm. Thoughts?
  25. I just got a wacky idea. What if that second pack is Menace (the newly prego Spider-Man Villainess) and Anti-Venom (A reformed villain. literally.)?
