  1. For some strange reason that escapes my feeble mind, my wife would resent me for leaving her at home with out 2 week old son to go see it, so probably not...
  2. She-Hulk. Impressive as Thor is in regards to new molding... I don't like like him as a character thus equals fail.
  3. Worst: The Leader. It may be a combination that all three I've opened have had backwards arms, low quality paint aps or just a garish costume color scheme, or it might be the hope that his enlarged nogin engendered but failed to deliver on Best: Free Comic Book Dar Minimate. I don't know what it is, but he's the most perfect, trouble free mate I've ever encountered, tight (and still today tight) joints, no issues, no problems. I'm scared to open any of the other spares I have for fear of ruining his perfection through reality which is sure to reveal issues...
  4. I question if we will see them, unless it's X-Men The Last Stand style after the DVD release, too many Marvel waves/movies already in this year
  5. 4 mates per set per movie, with the first movie getting at least two retailer exclusive 2-packs according to ToyFare
  6. Why do you think the first wave of Marvel Minimates featured Daredevil and Hulk, in the same year as both their movies came out? It's the same deal the wave eight came out before the FF movie appeared, it's just that now that DST is going directly for the movie licenses instead.
  7. Not the same sort of thing, they only mess up the paint/color schemes of the factory test samples, not the prototypes used for photography for packaging and solicts like these are.

    Hulk 2.5?

I doubt we'll ever see larger Marvel mates, if there was a chance of altering the license in the foreseeable future, why all the trouble and expense of doing the Minimates Max?
  9. Only suffered from three backwards arms, and ironically they've all been the Leader, which partly contributes to my rating of him as worse mat ever along with shoddy paint apps and ugly color scheme.
  10. As I say in the wiki, the sucess of the Marvel license seems to have cemented the format of Minimates, both in regards to the 2" scale and two-packs as the default packaging. It's possible that DST simply likes the scale now and it wants to ensure a Mego style single standard scale with all licenses being compatible, which would explain their rumored request/suggestion/plea to DCD to stick to 2" only.
  11. *shakes fist at yesterday's alteration of such terms as mini* It may be because I came in with 2" first and my opinions have been corrupted, but 3" Minimates don't seem... well... that Mini is all.
  12. Using the forum's handy dandy 2007 release timeline thread Classic Spidey set appears to be July, based on Previews solicit for the set, while we have generic (northern hemisphere) Spring for the Target but I'd reckon that Target is aiming for it to be in stores before or around the cinema release of the Spidey 3.
  13. The Target Line-up has been listed by Toyfare as: "Torment" Spider-Man & Powerhouse Venom Melee Symbiote Spider-Man & Powerhouse Sandman "Civil War" Spider-Man & Transformation Venom Web Armor Spider-Man & Green Goblin (w/ removable mask) The Classic Spider-Man box will be a Previews exclusive, so technically any retailers who orders out of it should be able to get it, and includes Torment Spidey, Powerhouse Venom, Melee Symbiote Spidey, Powerhouse Sandman as well a Hydro-man exclusive to that box
  14. Have not doubt we'll see them again in 2" form, but yeah like most of the AA 3 inchers not even the mighty Star Trek license could make these a success. Personally I'm one of those who think the 3" fails the requirement of actually being shockinis.
  15. Just confirming we're talking US dollars, as that's fairly close to the Aus dollar prices I paid for those items before they began to price slash and that was reasonable at the time, US dollar prices, well...
  16. Original "reveal" shots indicated Flint Marko with normal arms, and perhaps speaking as a completist I can always mix and match between the other Sandman so I hope the sand arms on him just accessories or kewlness done for the images.

    Hulk 2.5?

I'm assuming that if Hulk is seen in Defenders wave, it'll be much like the upcoming Sandman and Venom mates from the Target/Classic Spidey box, Powerhouse chestpiece equals new version.
  18. Well, disadvantage of fuller paint apps, no gap on the rear of his hip block for it like Classic Spidey
  19. Plastic for flesh tones, paint for everything else. DCD mates seem to have the right mix in that regard, even if they mates are more rubbery than older Marvel/C3 ones.
  20. Yeh! Removable Skeets! *dance of joy*
  21. Finally got around to checking mine and both molded plastic... but my Power-Man has a bizarre crotch. What? Stop looking at me like that! Okay, joking out of the way, the Power-Man Minimate I have has a small raised retangular portion on the front of it's crotch block. from the bottom of the horizontal portion of the "T", basically down to where the hip ball joints start. Doesn't look like a molding sprune (as my wife suggested).
  22. Indeed, very nice and less jarring to the eye
