Bob's Customs - Assassin's Creed II Ezio, p.29
Bob Harris replied to Bob Harris's topic in Custom Creations & Artwork!
Due to recent events, and this teaser, let me just put this here and not talk about it. Cap-Pool and Marvel-Girl-Pool Cap-Pool recipe: WW2 Captain America shoulder piece and belt, Bucky boots, some recolored parts and Rick Grimes' bag loaded with weapons. Marvel-Girl-Pool recipe: heavily modified Hawkeye mask, Rachel Grey skirt, Deadpool shoulder holster and lots of fun. -
I know, right? A Minimate based off of me would sell like Squirrel Girl multiplied by Hot Sex!!!!!

HAHA! Absoulutely. Funny thing is, I was working on something pretty similar to the (hilarious!) idea of that 4-pack. You can see two customs up and ready on the left in this pic. -
I really like those. I had lots of fun customizing alternative Marvel characters a while back and it looks like you have a blast doing these, too. As you know, I really like that gritty paintjob.

Incredible. Those last 2 minutes in the third were just incredibly unexpected and changed everything. Haven't seen anything like that in a pretty long time. At one point the Heat outscored the Spurs about 30-5. Wow. Hoping for the next games to be more like the first.

Great pics, K80! Funny thing, I just posted a group shot of his G.I. Joe 'mates with Flint on BAMF, admiring that baret of his!

Welcome to the 'verse, James! I really like that "still haven't 'lost my dinosaur'" and "I probably wont end up having children of my own" reasonig to buy toys. -
Happy 31st Birthday to Mr. MMHQ himself! I hope you have a great one!

Marvel Minimates 10th Anniversary Masterpiece Contest
Bob Harris replied to Lurch77's topic in Contests
Congrats guys! Great job everybody! -
I loved the Pacers in the Eastern Finals against Miami (after I learned to respect them - as a Knicks fan - for a well-deserved win against New York). I like how the team works as a team, not one or two superstars and a bunch of guys. Paul George did an outstanding job defending LBJ, who is just an incredibly talented guy playing amazing ball. (I have to respect him for that, although I really dislike him.) Very exciting and competative series! I guess we're going to see something like this again in the Finals. At least I hope so. The first game was pretty thrilling. I'm rooting for the Spurs for the sake of seeing the Heat loose. (There's a lot of envy in that statement... )

Jay & Silent Bob are a great surprise! You guys really nailed the likness of these, especially Bob! I hope there will be a) colored versions and b ) more View Askewverse characters. TWD: still no civil Tyreese? We've already seen him and he looks perfect. Where is he? Wolvie set looks good to me. I like that we actually get 5 Wolvies in the 4 pack. -
Great news, BHM! Congratulations! (I'm agreeing with all the what?-BHM-got-children-talk, but, well, it's the interwebs. You don't know nothing Jon Snow. ) Again alles Gute!

The Minimate Factory: Updated May 5th
Bob Harris replied to luke314pi's topic in Custom Creations & Artwork!
I've sculpted fixie sculpt parts on a minimate head useing regular clear adhesive tape (in Germany it's Tesa, I can't compare it to other brands) and it works pretty good. I just put the tape around the head, sculpt on it and when it's done, you have to be a little careful removing it the first time, but after that no problem. I used it for both Casey Jones masks, which can be removed pretty easy. -
Minimates spotted in the UK and Europe
Bob Harris replied to UK Collector's topic in Crisis of Infinite Minimates
You're absolutely right. That list will be pretty short. Still, it could come pretty handy, since most of those stores might offer some older stocked 'mates and these might be cheaper and easier to get as a lot of eBay offers. -
Minimates spotted in the UK and Europe
Bob Harris replied to UK Collector's topic in Crisis of Infinite Minimates
Besides all the USA-USA fun (I always imagine Homer shouting it) and the interesting info on CE tests, what about actually collecting links to European (I just included you Brits here) online shops selling 'mates? That would be pretty cool, since - thanks to the Schengen Agreement - "we" don't have to pay custom fees on any of these orders. I don't expect any shop being a serious competitor for Luke, but still. What do you guys think? UK Collector, since you started it, would you update a list in the first post? I only dealt with one store in Germany and had no problems at all - besides the price: x-comics.de The shipping costs for international orders are pretty insane, though. But I can gladly help you guys out, if you want to order anything: I could order the stuff to my place (costs 5€/7$) and send them to you loose in a bubble mailer (worldwide up to 10 'mates for 3,50€/5$). -

Something like a gallery or links to the actual posts with pics would be cool. I don't want to miss out on anybody when browsing through the thread. -
That's a great idea! You are absoluetly right! I had the feeling, I'd known this set somehow, thought maybe there was an earlier version of it. But it's the Kenner set from back in the days! Oh, I never had this, but my grandfather made me one of wood which was pretty darn cool when I was a kid! Absoultely! Way too expensive in my eyes.
