I was over on Marvelousnews.com and saw a new pic from SDCC. Evidently, we will be getting 3.75 " versions of Spider-man 2099, Jessica Drew/Spider-Woman, and Doc Samson. There was also a pic of a giant-sized Bill Foster/Goliath figure.

I agree. I LOATHE Fantomex. After Kyle & Yost leave the book, and Deadpool and Fantomex join, I fear I won't be able to take X-Force seriously. I'm thinking of dropping the title. Don't get me wrong, I know DP has tons of fans and Fantomex looks kinda Storm-shadowy so I think this set will sell for DST, but I personally don't want it. A set with Domino, Vanisher, Elixir, & Wolfsbane would have been a big WIN for me.

Yes, he's saved that set IMO. I was gonna pass on AOA but I have to get it now. I think he looks great.

Not much is exciting me this year. Don't like the deformed vehicles. Pass. I played the first Halo game way back when, but never really got interested in the characters, so those are a pass. Heroic Age box set is lame. Pass. I have enough Captain Americas & next year we'll see even more of him so his box set is a pass. The pirates may be too generic for my taste. I think I'll have to see them in person. I couldn't stand Lobdell's run on the X-Men and didn't care for AOA, myself. I'm happy for its fans, though. I WILL get a Sunfire if he's in it, however! I must have Lizard & I suppose Charles' coat, tie, & bloody towel/dried tomato will be removed as soon as I get him! I hope some more pics show up soon!

Wow, Eclipse. What a lot of fun to see these. You can tell how much you love Watchmen. Some of these I barely remember, but you know if they ever were made we'd all be buying them. It's especially fun seeing the Minutemen as they aren't always the first choices for people to customize. I can't wait to see your other characters... I'mvery jealous of your collection.

Great work on both of those. Sunfire is on my most wants list and your's is AWESOME. We need this sooner rather than later DST! Good choice for Darkstar's face and great job on her hair. the decal work is all crisp and clear on both...looks good!

OK, so I ordered a minimate and figured it would come today but it didn't. So I checked the USPS tracking website and it says that they tried to deliver it today (they didn't. I was here all day.) but couldn't and that they left me a notice (they didn't. they did leave some junk mail, though). Should I go to the post office with my tracking number tomorrow or should I wait to see if it shows up? My mind makes up all sorts of weird scenarios. After all, I have to deal with this same postman all the time. He isn't the friendliest guy in the world and don't want him to "accidently" make any more mistakes. I seem to remember a package last year that never showed. No telling what loot of mine people end up with.

The seam in the back is very wide, but the customizer did a good job of making it lay flat, so that the figure still looks good from the side, it only looks odd from the back. In his defense, even the official action figures of Black Canary that use actual fabric suffer from the same problem. I've been trying to figure out how he did it, but I haven't wanted to mess with the legs too much as the nets are so delicate, I'd hate to mess it up. You CAN move the legs in different poses, but it makes me nervous. I'd hate to rip it.

I received my Black Canary custom in the mail as shown in the first picture. It's pretty nice but of course like most figures with real fish-nets, it looks better in the front than in the back. Still, the seller did a fantastic job to be working on such a small scale: However, I wanted her jacket, so I blackened out the white lines on Silken Floss. I also wanted a slightly different look. My Pegasus Six hasn't come in the mail yet, so I'm using Red Dress Six's head temporarily: What do you guys think of my changes? Does it look closer to BC?

I thought about this last night, and maybe I should have replaced Silver Samurai with Kang. Instead of Rogue..we could have classic Mockingbird be the normal release and the Modern version could be a variant. I think more people like the classic one as well. Another Avenger could go with Black Knight and it would make an "all-Avengers" wave.

Just a quick question as I've never added to a custom: When the epoxy-sculpt or sculpey hardens, what keeps it from falling off the figure? Do you sand the tiny areas that you put your additions on.

That Ripley is fantastic! I also think your Jubilee looks better than the one we're getting. Great choice in using Power Girl's? face. It really looks like Jubilee. I like that the sunglasses are where they should be. Willy Wonka (who has always given me the creeps) is actually a bad @ss little figure. Great Work!

There must be Canary vibes going in the air. I'm about to make one too (although mine's the older costume). I hadn't thought of Star Girl's hair. It looks good.

These are going to be hard to wait for, but I have to wait until the prices come down on ebay. If only the TRU lines weren't the ones I always want!

Lots of great new customs. Nova is great. I probably wouldn't have wanted a New Warriors box set, but after seeing yours, I think I would get one. They look great. Norman Osborn needs a butcher knife through his hand. I love that scene! Mastermind works (good-looking coat)... DST definitely needs to make more X-Villains. Danny looks good, but I see what you're saying about the printer quality. I've been afraid to experiment with decals for the same reason. I know that Luke has suggested a certain brand of decal paper that is very thin at Minimate Factory. Did you use that brand or another kind? What program and printer did you use to make your decals? Considering how small you had to make these, I'd say they still turned out well.

Well, as most of you know, I am not adept at making customs. I just like designing them. However, I have really wanted a Black Canary minimate for a while. I just purchased a minimate custom on ebay because, I had no clue how I would do fishnets & the guy who made this custom did a pretty good job on them (at least in the photos). The thing that bothers me is that she doesn't have a jacket and she uses a Jean Grey head with green eyes instead of blue. I've decided to use a Silken Floss torso & blacken out the white lines. I also considered using a 90s Storm arms since they are poofy at top, but I'd have to paint more & I'm not so comfortable messing my Xtra Storm just for that (I'm still undecided). I'll be replacing the head with a BSG Pegasus Six which I feel has a beautiful face with blue eyes. I'm also getting a BSG Starbuck (long hair) to see how that hairpiece will look. I can't wait for all this to come in, so I can put it together and show some before and after pics. :biggrin:

Well my dream box set would be a Blade Runner box set or even a Legion of Superheroes box set, but since this is the Marvel section, I'd want to fill the gaps in my X-Men: or this variation: A New Mutants box set would be awesome, too.
