  1. I had that same question(about the rock) about four weeks ago. It's something that one of the bsg people uses to smash heads in. lol no joke
  2. I agree, they would be super cool, but for some reason I can't picture what they'd look like, in my head. Which is weird because all minimates look the same. I think you could do a neat quick custom of roadblock with Apollo and sgt. rock though...
  3. I picked up the new issue, and while Bucky is no Steve Rogers, he IS a pretty cool Captain America. I think I'll see where it goes, 2.99 a month isn't so bad.
  4. welcome! Looking forward to the TNG mates?
  5. Jim- Most important! Wash your minimate before painting! If I forget, and don't wash the fig, the paint is messed up by even the smallest amount of oil/crud. All of a sudden you'll see the paint avoid one certain area and bead up away from it. That'd be my advie for priming. As for sealent, I gree with the above advice. I haven't used sealer, and unless you actually chew on your minimates, good paint with out sealent won't chip off that badly. But if you want a pro look by all means seal those puppies up! Good luck and steady hands! 616
  6. Alc...a....traz..... No idea what gaia vj is, but I am eddie izzard fan, so I'd like an invite
  7. hey- tried to help, but the link to the videos isn't working for me. I'll try again later tonight. Good luck with your project!
  8. Gaak! I love inscale projects, and this is up there with the best. Looks like I have a new goal regarding minimates...great..lol I'm sure the bridge has a place of honor at your home 616
  9. I think he means Toxic Crusader. In which case, that would be crazy!!!! that movie still gives me nightmares.
  10. three skrull answers, but no foot hole answer? dang. If anyone has info on my question, I'd still like it answered...thanks
  11. oh, no worries! It was just funny that's all.
  12. lol were going to need to split up San Diego at this rate tim. I was wondering how the sam goody sold all the set from the last time I was in there.
  13. Xevoz were awesome! I'm in the process of trading all mine to minijeff for minimates though, so no more xevoz play for me. I was living in the far far north of california, and they were about the only cool toy out for a while up there. The biggest addition to the area was a target about 15 minutes away. Got super into them, then saw another toy display there and well....the rest is history.
  14. Arkham inmates are going to take a lot of handcuffs! Mr. Aziz (sp) I think would look the best in the handcuffs/coat, sorry joker
  15. Jim! Alrighty, here's my two cents> 1. My vote is for sculpy, rather than milliput. lol but there's a story with it. The only milliput I've bought was the wrong kind, a plumbing version, that ended up being stronger than steel, and smelly as all get out. It seriously stunk so bad when I was sanding it, I threw the figure I was working on away. lol So no on milliput from me. The best kind to get is a two part putty mixture. i can't remember the name off hand, and I suddenly can't find it, but there is a real good one out there. With the part mixtures (milliput too!) you are not going to need to heat them at all, an hour or two of air drying and you're good to go. (about 12 hours for milliput to dry) I'll update when I rememer the name. I found it in a comicbook store in Monterey Ca, and had only read about it on action figure customizing websites before that. 2. Decals: When you figure this one out let me know! lol I Have a series of threads asking about sticker/decals. The designs are out there though. Hunt around in the custom section, inperticular TBT!'s customs use stickers most of the time, if I'm no mistaken.
  16. yup, this set has jumped to the top of my want list. I never thought they'd make little chain handcuffs. So cool!
  17. Hey all- Just started to get into gundam models. Gotta love a model with no glue required, plus they are a bit cheaper down here in San Diego than regular tank/airplane models. So anyway the purpose of this post (besides killing work time) is to ask if anyone else is into these guys, and if so is there one that looks perticularly like a sentinal? They kinda all look like that stupid O*N*E sentinals to my eyes, but wanted some extra opinions. 616
  18. Karamazov80<----my hero! Thanks pal, those are exactly them! I appreciate the search, as I have little internet time here at work.
  19. Found a couple of new (to me) minifigs at the swap meet this weekend, was hopeing someone here knew about them. Here's the info I have so far (pics tonight). they are made by Dragon toys, a chinese compay that makes 12in gi-joe stuff. The figures are about 2-3 inches tall, and one is a male the other female. Both look to be Resident Evil characters (i think) but are labled "codename Veronica" The only other writing on the box that's in english is capcom. lol any ideas what i have here? 616
  20. It's nice to see what the overall favorites were this year. lol never would have guessed them in a million years.
  21. the internet is tough! Sorry to hear about your bad experiances. My wife and I collect Bearbricks.
  22. Okay, here we go, the final tally is....somewhere in between 5 and six. Five block is too short, puts it about mid-way through a regular minimate's head. Six is taller than a minimate by about half a head, but still doesn't work when building buildings. lol I personally use 7 to 8 block high walls when building dioramas for my 'mates. That generally looks right in comparison with real life. Hope that helps! Also, just in case someone out there doesn't know, almost ALL minimates with hole in their feet fit onto lego bricks. I've only found a couple that haven't fit perfectly, and I can't remember them at the moment.
  23. hey, if you're on after 5:30 or so pm me to remind me, and I'll do it for ya. Been looking for a lego excuse anyway
