  1. Howard didn't cross my mind - probably because he wears clothes. Howard's top half could be easily done - no idea how Minimate duck legs would look, though. I imagine a rounded lower-torso cover, a more embellished one than they did for Wolverine Movie Blob. Duck legs might be "shortened" feet a la Penguin from DCD, with webbed deco. Would still look pretty weird, but that's the approach I imagine they'd take. Put him in a two-pack with Forbush Man and sign me up. Or better yet... Man-Thing or Dr. Bong! Add a Master of Quack Fu or Iron Duck variant and it's pure gold.
  2. DUDE. This is very exciting! Indicates an Inhumans box is on the horizon! AND LOCKJAW IS COOL. I love suprises! This is the best Marvel action figure line, ever!
  3. No easy tips, I guess... it can get expensive if you don't already have the figures to re-purpose. I did mostly ebay and trades with fellow Multiversers.
  4. I voted suspended animation. Awesome idea, and that ice base could be used for a lot of things.
  5. Thank you! I was pretty happy with how they came out... they ended up looking pretty colorful and distinctive in spite of using existing parts.
  6. Some new EZs around the theme of Defenders and related characters... * Dr. Strange! Blue pajamas from his first Defenders appearance, and the early Marvel age. VERY easy! * Son of Satan! This un-P.C. character is sans the pentagram on his chest, in keeping with the "EZ" rules of no mods (though a Luke decal would be sweet!) * Hellcat! Patsy Walker in all of her "I stole Batgirl's mask" glory * Satana! Nothing says evil like red eyes and a slutty outfit * Clea! Who wants dirty old Spider-Carnage, anyway? * Namorita! aka creative use of She-Loki DIG. Recipes will be posted in the stickied alphabetical Marvel lists.
  7. This wave is great! I love mixed waves. Lizard was in my top 10 slot alotted for Spidey-villains, so I'm psyched. (that slot now goes to Classic Morbius). Don't know what they'll do with Spidey... Bagman would be AWESOME but I imagine they would have announced him as Bag-Man, not Spider-Man, so who knows what we're getting? Warpath in the black/grey X-Force duds will be great for those collecting that style, and I'm betting Prof X will be in the combat fatigues WITH the Shi'ar chair, because how can they do 90s Xavier without one? Finally, Thing in trenchcoat is a fantastic selection... I love it! I have never been fully satisfied with the previous Thing figures, so I'm hoping they sort out all of the strangeness with the forehead piece & proportions this time. And I'm with Luke that it's highly likely the builder will be Doom's servo-guards. This sets the stage for future FF updates in another wave with Moloid army builders, which is also cool.
  8. I read that wrong and thought you had some serious OCD problems with SHIELD agents. So what's is the best number to have of each for those of you that can display the troops? Bwaha! Yeah I totally didn't see that it was possible to read it that way. That would be a SERIOUS army! I usually want 5 of an army builder, for that perfect balance of troop numbers vs. killing my wallet.
  9. I generally order a single full set of 8 (with variant), netting me 2 army builders. Then I'll add around 3 more single packs of the army builders, unless I find a great online deal, in which case I'll buy more. SKRULL: 5 AIM: 8 (used one for a custom tho) HYDRA: 5 VAULT GUARD: 2 MULTIPLE MAN: 3 KREE SOLDIER: 4 SENTINEL: 7 HELLFIRE GOON: 7 (used one for a custom) Now I'm looking forward to the possibility of 616 SHIELD agents, Hand ninjas and Mandroids.
  10. Love your list, robomate! You have many I'll want to add when some of the 10 in my sig are made. So many great villains left!
  11. Based on past Q&As, it would seem that Lizard and Kang are in the works. I also agree that Mole Man would be a sweet choice for an FF wave, including Moloids as army builders. Toad is the last of the "preview poster" figures, right? And Sinister is an X-villain, making Uatu the least likely of the bunch, but one that I would buy in a heartbeat regardless. I want 'em all!
  12. Zemo would be a great cornerstone for a Classic MOE 4-Pack, combining the unmade members from MOE I and II: Zemo I, Melter, Black Knight I, Whirlwind (although the uber-nerd in me would also like to see an "Ultron as Crimson Cowl" with alternate Jarvis head)
  13. I'm all for Zemo, and I was also surprised to hear he hadn't even been discussed. I mean, we're getting STILT-MAN for cryin' out loud. Zemo: of the Masters of Evil. History with Cap. Multiple iterations. Heinrich and Helmut. At least one classic Mike Zeck cover shot that I can think of. Purple pajamas. I hope that they start "discussing" him quickly so we can get Heinrich/Helmut (one as a variant) into the next Avengers wave. Pair him with a Mandroid army builder, add some Black Knight and Falcon, fill it up with a couple of big names and BAM. Wave 40.
  14. Not just you! I'm hankering for some old Brotherhood to pit against the Silver Age X-Men. Throw in a "big mask" Scarlet Witch and I'm in.
  15. I sit corrected! I was only looking back on the early stuff for reference. I'm still partial to the black shorts, but it's cool to know there are more variations. Glad you guys liked the Radioactive recipe. I was able to find Baltar and Gamma Hulk pretty cheaply, too.
  16. I knocked out a handful of readymade Avengers tweaks and customs, that I could only call "Avengers: Reassembled." For your viewing pleasure: Embarrassingly Easy: Thor and Quicksilver tweaks Here I swapped Thor's chest with the variant's chest. I think it looks a lot better. And I gave Quicksilver Venom's pelvis to make him more comic-accurate. Dig. Wasps of Yore: 60s and 70s Wasp customs Recipes in the Marvel M-Z thread; some simple no-skill parts assemblages to approximate two Wasp looks - one of her more persistent ones in the late 60s, and a funky one from the 70s. Villainy: Classic Radioactive Man I'm sure others have done this, or something similar. Just added Gamma Hulk, Classic Baltar and Guy Gardner parts to the Tbolts RM upper body. Pretty close to his iconic "Official Handbook" look with the odd loincloth and booties. Group Shot!
  17. I feel your pain. It's always folks with some sense as to the inherent value of "uniqueness" of certain figures, so they speculatively buy up a lot. Case in point: I got to TRU yesterday, to find 2 Cap/Dmg Wolv packs. Everything else was gone. grumble grumble...
  18. #1 SINISTER FOES OF SPIDERMAN (aka Sinister Six) - Electro, Lizard, Vulture and Scorpion #2 EXCALIBUR - Captain Britain, Phoenix, Shadowcat and Meggan #3 WRECKING CREW - Wrecker, Bulldozer, Pile Driver and Thunderball #3 AVENGERS -Falcon, Black Panther, Mockingbird and Yellowjacket #5 INHUMANS - Black Bolt, Medusa, Karnak and Gorgon Interesting that from this list, many have been made or are coming out. Exceptions: Lizard Meggan Wrecking Crew Falcon, Mockingbird Medusa, Karnak, Gorgon
  19. Dude. Stilt-Man! Who cares if he's only a tangent to true IM villainy? Daredevil can't hold his own wave, so I'm happy they were able to sneak him in an IM wave. But yes, I can think of a dozen more IM villains I still really want... Blacklash, Beetle, Blizzard, Constrictor, Ghost, Ultimo, Fin Fang Foom (somehow?), Madame Masque, Unicorn, MODOK (also somehow?), Dreadknight and Arsenal all come to mind.
  20. Probably true... so I'm looking forward to next year's THOR wave and boxed set(s)!
  21. Holy crap. Coolness. I KNEW a Dreadnought might be around the corner. And I'm PSYCHED for an old school Mandarin, Crimson Dynamo, and updated Silver Centurion! Stilt-Man is just beyond... don't know how they slid that past the height restriction, but sign me up for this wave!
  22. And, apropos of nothing, another cover re-creation: Although... the layout is pretty similar, isn't it? Why do villains love the bottom-left corner so much?
  23. You win a fabulous Marvel No-Prize! (but seriously - good job!)
