  1. Whaaaaaat...? My eyes will definitely be on the Showcase!
  2. You May solicit. ba-dum-tiss Thanks Zach! So is that "no" related only to DD, or does it also apply to MM reveals more broadly?
  3. I saw that there is now planned a Fan Expo for DST -- any MiniMate reveals planned? Will the DD set be shown?
  4. Six months later... I kept tweaking and adjusting, and I ended up needing to source more hands, accessories, and a new head. Everything is assembled, more or less. Now it's just that "light" painting, and photography left over. But finding the time to set up and knock out any painting is proving difficult. So maybe in another six months? Hopefully less. (it's also super silly and will be anti-climactic, because these are the Q-est of Cs you've ever seen)
  5. Ah, that would be excellent news.
  6. There's still one custom left from the 2022 plan right?
  7. Ah that's super interesting BHM! I found the cover online, but no panels. I need to see these full-color "alternate universe" variants.
  8. But on a positive note, one could probably custom paint an Aliens APC, which was pretty impressive in its own right.
  9. This was the planned MAX "police" variant of the APC vehicle that did not, I believe, even receive a release in its primary colors. Edit: Here's a snap of the originally-planned vehicle:
  10. Well I found him to be quite transparent.
  11. Your Hellcat is looking great! A Corsair belt will be an easy update for mine, but Nova may cost a bit to track down (and I can't unsee its perfection now). I used Secret Invasion Beast hands for the claws, which is a nice finishing touch.
  12. Jewel, backwards. Corsair would be better (great call!), but he wasn't available at the time.
  13. ...although it's consistent with some variant appearances:
  14. I did a very easy Hellcat QC many years ago. I may eventually go back and paint the eyes white:
  15. +1 to a classic 70s Wasp. And as many Hank and Scott variants as they'll give us. And their villains, like Whirlwind and Crossfire.
  16. Oy, I will be bummed if Typhoid Mary dropped.
  17. The three that I hope haven't shifted are: Daredevil, Elektra, Typhoid Mary. If these weren't a box set, I'd probably be in for multiples of DD & Elektra for some parts reuse. Pretty much every one of my Daredevil mates needs that radar effect now. It's brilliant.
  18. OK Zach, that's a sample size of n=2 so it's basically a mandate. Time to make the Super Powers MiniMates line a reality!
  19. Poking in to offer an observation: It seems to me that most DC lines these days really focus on modern narratives, which are rife with overly-designed, flash-in-the-pan, kewl "re-imaginings" of classic characters that last for a few issues before their costumes are redesigned again. [Get off my lawn!!] What are missing are truly classic offerings, like what the old DC MiniMates line focused on. Batman '66 notwithstanding -- I know of at least five distinct modern lines that have dipped their toes in those waters (including Mezco, Mattel, MacFarlane and Funko), but it's the exception. I was initially very excited to see McFarlane bring back Super Powers, but the designs all skew modern, and the character selection has been uninspiring. Can you imagine a Super Powers-branded MiniMates line? With the latest packaging innovations DST are delivering, a series like this would rock.
  20. I scanned the webs 🕷️ for reviews but didn't see anything yet.
  21. Ah, too bad. The packaging looked really cool. Does the Kre-O stuff scale OK? Anyone have the HISS tank that came with the Arashikage Dojo?
  22. So are the Forever Clever building sets like really bad? Bad-bad? Could the smaller sets at least be serviceable, like the FANG or the Ferret? Can MiniMates even sit on these?
