  1. I managed to grab loose Riddler, Nightwing, and the two Joker figures, but have nearly given up on finding a Martian Manhunter. At least we will be getting a Flash/Gorilla Grodd set in wave 7.
  2. Does anyone else find it odd that the minimates for 24 came out before any action figures? Has this happened with any other minimates? Frankly I'd have been happy with four versions of Jack Bauer. Everyone else on that show seems to be either useless, evil, or dead. The accessories have pushed this set over into the must have category, though, despite Kim's idiocy as a character.
  3. Oh, that is a fabulous idea! Trixie and the rest of the whores are going to feel left out though.
  4. Why is it that the Martian Manhunter C3 set is so hard to find? Were less made or something? Did the fact that the rest revolved around Batman and Superman characters make this one more appealing to casual collectors? Seriously, this one seems to be nearly impossible to find, and the only one where some ebay seller hasn't offered a deal on just the minimates at some point.
  5. Are there any photos of this set besides the tiny one on the Diamond Toychest site? Because while I love the idea of Western minimates, I'm not going to pre-order a set until I see some actual pictures. The LOTR minimates promo poster showed several minimates that never got made, and had some different character designs from the final product, so I'm kinda wary now.
  6. Oooo, thank you! I have a whole tape dispenser worth of 3M poster mounting tape, so even my minimate collection should be covered. I've been using museum putty, but it works better for holding damaged parts together (not as neat looking as superglue, but this way some poseability is preserved. Great idea, I'll have to try it out.
  7. Minimates Central should be bankrolled by Art Asylum - it's what got me hooked! One google search for LOTR minimates and my fate was sealed. I'm thrilled beyond belief that you are back! Hopefully you will begin covering the DC line too?
  8. Ah, but in wave 8 we are going to get two Elseworlds figures (Red Son Superman and Wonderwoman) and in wave 5 we got Golden Age Ma Hunkel. So the playing field is still pretty wide open. I'm totally keeping my fingers and toes crossed for any Vertigo 'mates.
  9. I'm sadly the same way - going into debt over mini figurines! Welcome to this group of fellow obsessives. BTW: What are those stands you are using on them?
  10. Amen! We didn't get Arwen or Eowyn, despite their portrayal on the promo poster mimicking the movie! At least we got all of the Fellowship, even if I'm still sad there weren't any chicks or my favorite Faramir. Hopefully when The Hobbit comes out, we can at least get Bilbo.
  11. The Buffy and Angel ones are from the PALz series by Palisades Toys, who also did some X-Files characters. They would package one character with lots of accessories, including several alternate body parts in order to give them changes of clothes. I'd love some Firefly minimates, as well as Heroes, Doctor Who, Stargate (SG-1 and Atlantis), Indiana Jones, and Star Wars. Anything that inspires its own large scale fan conventions is probably a safe bet for TPTB. The Rocky and Back to the Future ones kind of threw me for a loop, so anything goes I guess.
  12. As a Vertigo fanatic, I would first love to see any characters from those comics made, especially the following: Sandman/Morpheus John Constantine Death Spider Jerusalem Lucifer Swamp Thing V Delirium Snow White Bigby But since I live in the real world, I put forth the following for suggestion (warning: Big Batman Rogues gallery fan): Two-Face Poison Ivy Catwoman Oracle Mr. Freeze Scarecrow Riddler Jimmy Olsen Lois Lane Zatanna
  13. Hello! I've been a major comics fan for five years now and got really into minimates after seeing them at San Diego Comic Con this summer. As soon as I saw there were Lord of the Rings minimates I was hooked. Everyone from the LOTR universe are currently battling in a convenient line along my bookcase, with Marvel and DC minimates looking down from the next shelf up. I'm a hardcore Vertigo, and therefore DC girl, but my first casual introduction to comics was Spiderman and X-men in third grade, so those will always hold a place in my heart. I'll stop babbling now.
