  1. Secret Invasion 2 just kinda pushes the story line along but the last page is a great one leaving you in suspense like issue 1 What I did read today as well was Avengers/Invaders 1 which I enjoyed but I would love to know where this sits in the timeline of present stories. I'm guessing its before Secret Invasion by a little bit but its a 12 issues series so it might catch up. The real reason I ask this is for me it sets up a great premise for marvel that marvel should take advantage of if they have any sense. Stick with me I'll try to explain. .
  2. Just to show the love for the Classic Avengers
  3. Wow, much impressed by that box. Only problem I have is it makes the original IM yellow an red mate look a bit bland in comparison. Thanks TBT for listing the issues they appeared in I was able to look up the covers.
  4. Didn't we get a Modern Luke Cage back in wave 12 packed with Sentry? If I remember correctly this figure wasn't that well liked.
  5. Just been on phone to LE to see when the Boxset is due to arrive in UK and he says he will be picking them next week, monday onwards. Price is I think £13.50 plus the P+P So be expecting your emails soon if your on the mailing list.
  6. The heli carrier is The Valiant. The Master built it the end of last season using the future tech of the tochlafane when he changed the timelines and became PM or something like that. I would have to go back an rewatch them to be sure. I just think UNIT use it now. I believe UNIT and Torchwood are a bit like The Wombles. Underground, Overground, Wombling Free, The Wombles of Wimbledon Common are we. Making good use of the things that we find, Things that the everyday folks leave behind. Just change the word folks to aliens in the last line and thats UNIT and Torchwood
  7. Sometimes nostalgia ain't what what its cracked up to be. I remember seeing the Captain America, Namor and Thor cartoons from the 60's on VHS tape back in the 80's and loved them, I look at em now and its painful. I still like the original 60's Spiderman stuff for some reason just the others even using the same styles of animation just grate on me. I actually like the Iron Man 90's cartoon. Just thinking on it now just imagine the villains that we could get in mate form. Grey Gargoyle, Mandarin, Blizzard, Backlash, Whirlwind and I think Crimson Dynamo and Titanium man where is an episode or 2
  8. thats a great rendition of the costume in mate form. That being said its ugly as sin. I.m not saying your drawing is bad just that the costume its based on is bad and should never have saw a comics page.
  9. I'm a Brit an its cool to spread the love. I just wish AFX and DST would feel the same way towards us! Anyway not ranting enjoy
  10. Was just checking a website to see if they had BTTF series one in stock to tell another board member. No BTTF but i did come across these pics for marvel Mighty Muggs. First pic I have seen of Thor with hammer plus all others released upto wave 3 http://www.play.com/Search.aspx?searchtype....x=0&go.y=0
  11. I just looked on the BBC Doctor Who website and its white text on a blackish background also the sign on the front door is a grubby white. http://www.bbc.co.uk/doctorwho/gallery/tardis/index.shtml To be honest I would quite happy with the way it looks now then fiddle with it too much
  12. Just come across these so thought I would share. Marvel has trailers up showing a new X-men cartoon series and below that a Next Avengers trailer which is going to be the next in line for the marvel animated film release. http://www.marvel.com/movietrailer/ Here is some more for the Next Avengers a behind the scenes thing with writers, animators etc http://iesb.net/index.php?option=com_xevid...ail&id=1189
  13. Liking the Wasp in the second picture with the hair. Antman stands out for me as the best one. Hulk seems to have some strange forehead thing going on below the hair line, cant tell if its just bad paint apps or supposed to be this way.
  14. Minimates & DST aren't exactly known for making Playsets, so don't get your hopes up. ... Of course if we ask Iron Cow really nicely I'm sure he'll be happy to see us rescale his Tardis for minimates? Matt any issues with pointing people to this for a mini tardis, If they give you all the appropriate credit? http://www.ironcowprod.com/plastic/doctor_...dis/figure.html First glance says about 35-40% is right but it feels a little tall and skinny for mates so I might look to see how much of a pain it'll be to widen it out a bit. *EDIT* This is a quick and dirty 2 sides of the Tardis mockup ( Took about 30 mins to print and cut) to see if the scale works, apologies for quality at this point, no glue or edging etc... but I want to get the scale right before I build a 'keeper'. First build impressions are that It's a very nice card model ( Great job Matt!) a bit fiddly to cut the slots in this scale but totally doable. T. To be honest at first glance I thought it was too tall but I did a google image search and it seems using david tennent as a a scale he is listed as 6' 1" his hairline reaches the cross piece for the panes of glass. http://rcrawford79.files.wordpress.com/2007/03/tardis.jpg http://www.starstore.com/acatalog/Tardis-Tennant.jpg http://forbiddenplanet.co.uk/blog/wp-conte...ho%20TARDIS.jpg I know there is perspective etc to be taken into account but its not that far out
  15. Read that line up on superherohype as well. I think for me the hardest one to do will be the Thor movie. I just cant see it getting across to audiences that easily. Its just Thors look I cant see it on the big screen. Ironman has the armour and it doesnt really matter what the build of the actor for Cap Am a good costume design can give the muscle look where needed, But Thor is supposed to be a big guy I'm not talking hulk big but well above average big. I just cant see how they are going to get a balanced look. There is 3 ways I can see them trying it but cant pinpoint one that for me works the best. CGI go the Hulk route and have a digital Thor. My fear one this is that I have not seen a human CGI that passes as a human. Hulk was ok and Gollum was much better but they could really be shaded or whatever and being none human. Bodysuit bulk out an actor to get the size. I just cant help thinking of Robin Williams in Popeye. I know the suits have got better but its just the arms I keep seeing Popeye arms. Or lastly just use a big guy. I cant think of anyone that can act that are close to the physique of Thor. They could use bodybuilders or wrestlers but I dont hold out much hope of finding one that wont be just plain wooden. Throw in some Shakespeare Thor speak and a bad actor could make peoples ears and eyes bleed at the same time. Theres still a longway to go on this but that was my first thoughts.
  16. Some nice stuff there. The burning Godzilla made me laugh at one of the photos. I think its the fourth one down where the figure is shown face on the flame detail makes it look like its wearing a bikini, it even has small flames to loop around the neck. Anyway good stuff in those reviews.
  17. No spoiler tags from just saying I enjoyed the movie
  18. I cant say I've never been some one that follows the letter of the law. I dont mind that wave whatever hulk is shorter the iron spidey. Whatever way the figure is enjoy it and thats all you need. Sleep for me(BEEEEEEER) now and thank PC for autotypers Y has no body never mentioned the gut ring to push smart hulk up etc its all about the feet
  19. Yea seen that before its very good. Youtube has some good fanflicks 2 that stick out for me are a batman vs predator i think it is. Also a Robin one I think was called Grayson. If I can find links I will post them. I have heard of a fanflick of Lobo in His Paramilitary Xmas Special but never watched it only seen screen shots.
