Heh someone likes their GL's! But even with those changes you don't have Alan Scott. Also we've already had Jon Stewart... perhaps that answers itself then? T. Actually, as long as I have Hal, I'm good with my GL's. In fact if anything I'd throw in more Batman related characters just because I like Batman the best. My thinking was if they gave me the current roster for 8 waves of DC Minimates and asked me to fine tune it with more main/known characters. I didn't include Alan Scott because I wouldn't see the need in a couple of Golden Age characters among a bunch of modern characters. Yeah, we have John Stewart but in a cartoon design rather than in line with the rest of the Minimates. I should've put Firestorm in there somewhere. Hmmm.

In a 'this is how I'd fill out 8 waves' not a 'this would've saved the line' manner, these are my changes: wave 1: Omac for Mr. Freeze, Star Sapphire for Sinestro wave 2: Brainiac for 80's Brainiac wave 3: Ocean Master for Black Manta, battle damaged Batman for Ras Al Ghul wave 4: Cyborg Superman for Doomsday, Golden Age Flash for Martian Manhunter & Wildcat for Darkseid wave 5: Mary for Red Tornado, Red Tornado for modern Robin & Ma Hunkel for Two-Face, Guy Gardner for John Stewart wave 6: Battle damaged Wonder Woman for Solomon Grundy, Stargirl for Scarecrow and STRIPE for Com. Gordon wave 7: Ambush Bug for Guy Gardner wave 8: Sinestro for Kyle Rayner & Salaak for Parallax, Question for Beast Boy & Batwoman for Wonder Girl, Red Son Superman for Alfred & RS Wonder Woman for Poison Ivy

If they're talking about canceling the line because sales are down, it would be an awful shame to prove them right with wave 8. I'll be the first to admit the character selection in this wave isn't ideal. But it could be our last chance to show DCD that these will move. Lets be honest...the petition didnt get enough signautres to even present it to DCD. The majority of the people that were up in arms at first have since died down (present company excluded). The wave 8 is the weakest of all of the lines thus far. I had to BEG my LCBS to order the wave. The sales of the final wave will not be a banner to rebirth the line. In fact, if anything it will prove their point, that they just didn't sell as well as they wanted. Now having said that, do i think the new line they are focusing on (6.75 line) will do well? Probably, I know I can not find any of the Mattel stuff easily. DCD is always easy to find at my LCBS (and ones around the country i have visited) It was a good fight, but i am afraid it is over. I am just glad we got what we did. I mean some toy lines don't even get this much and this much variety. I am reminded of the recent Jericho tv show. rating were low they cancelled it. The fans (a huge number mind you) sent in protest (i forgot how many lbs of peanuts). So CBS put it back on the schedule, and then NO ONE watched it again and they cancelled it again. moc847 If they're looking for an excuse to end the line with poor sales, wave 8 will do it. I want three out of the eight. The others I don't know anything about or couldn't care less about. It makes me sad for all the other characters we could have gotten instead of battle damaged variations or totally obscure characters. I'd gladly give back odd variants or the Ma Hunkel's of the line for Two-Face, Modern Robin, Martian Manhunter and so on. . .

I understand sending a message with your money, but what do you do with all the extra Minimates you've got when it's all over? Say I run out and buy a ton of wave 8 and they don't go any further than that. If I don't customize I'm stuck with a bunch of figures I really only wanted one of in the first place, lost money and space, and have nothing new to look forward to. The only thing worse than not having that one character you were dying for, is having bought twenty of a character you didn't feel one way or the other about just to beg for more and get nothing. I don't want to be a downer, but I think what others are doing by cancelling other DCD orders is the better way of getting the point across. I'm sure that I'm not the only one that has bought several multiples of 'mates for display, MOC, bashes and parts in the past. If DC Minimates haven't proved themselves a success by now, they won't.

I hope they wouldn't be goofy enough to stop the DC mates just to try to get people started on another line that may or may not last when it seems like they've already got a winner.

I hope wave 8 isn't the last. To me, it would seem like the line is going out on a low note. We still need so many more characters. What a shame if it's true.

Cool line-up overall. I'm excited for the movie and original series Minimates. I've never been a fan of DS9 and would rather have more TNG instead, but I'm sure I'll buy them just the same. Damn little plastic people...

I really like how this set looks right now and I hope DST does more episode/movie sets. Maybe they should take the sash from the Mirror, Mirror set, paint it purple, add Spock, slashed-shirt Kirk, a couple of bladed q-tip weapons, T'Pau, Spock's intended lady and a Vulcan guard and...presto!...it's an Amok Time set. :biggrin:

I just want some damn horses to go with these! I think someone discovered that Lego Horses are a pretty good fit Yeah, but I want a minimate horse as I'm sure it'd be waaaaaaaaaaaaay cooler than the Lego horses. . .
