Does anyone else out there think with this giant boom for minimates, with all the new releases and such, that now would be a good time to see if the public would be interested in this wicked awesome playset. Maybe they could bring it back and have an exclusive minimate that only comes with the playset. I would love to here an opinion from DST on this. I would buy it in a heart beat.

After four waves, I think it safe to say the BSG line of minimates will be aound a while longer. I still need my Racetrack and a colonial day Starbuck in a dress :biggrin: I prefer modern BSG over classic any day, but....... For 2008, it would be nice to see them celebrate the 30th anniversary of classic BSG by releasing a couple waves or box sets. Have "30th anniversary" slapped all over the packages. Great idea, perfect timing, concept art already done, come on DST.... just do it

2601???? :o they only made 450 cases each of classic and modern. on the bottom on the case it is hand written x/450 my classic is 13 / 450 and modern is 122 / 450 it is also hand written on the outer box as well (the cardboard box)

cylonchaney, what number is your case? the one i just ordered and received is # 122.

......would you buy them? If you had to pick between characters you recognize or some random animals, which wold you choose? honestly. But yeah, animals would be pretty darn sweet. I for one sure hope they have a horse for the For a few Dollar More mates. Also, the Daggit concept art looked like it would have worked out really well. Animals would be neat if one could fit them in an existing line, but other then that, it just would not fly. Oh, and lets not forget those awesome Tribbles with Kirk..... would those count as an animal?

well........ my dad collects GI Joes, my mom collects Kelly dolls something fierce and my sister collects all sorts of toys pretty hardcore. I just kinda always grew up around it and it fits I guess. I don't collect toys anywhere near as much as I used to, but i will pick up the odd toy if I like it (Giant microbes and Rukia from Bleach are all I bought in the last year), but minimates.... after I saw the BSG ones I could not resist and got sucked right into it. Working in a toy store also helps But yeah, I just grew up with it, I know no other way.

Nervous, you got some mad crazy skills and your customs keep on getting better and better (i have no idea how that is even possible though) good luck with your school.

Woot woot, cowboys!!! Finally, some new minimates besides BSG and Marvel that I want to get. I could go without the horse. There are so few playsets, vehicles and the such that I think it might look out of place. I hope I am proven wrong though and that if they do make the horse, it looks wicked awesome.

Thank Goodness... wave four. these are the last of the characters they had designed at the very beginning. I think they will continue on after the show ends with waves. I mean, they started making SG1 toys when the show was at its end. They could always go with pilots and a box set for Razor. Anywho, I for one am excited about this wave, you can never have too many Baltars.

I don't collect very many lines of minimates. I buy Battlestar Galactica and a few Marvel. Of course this might change if there ever are Vertigo or movie mates I like. I have said this many a time before, but because I am the only one interested in mates around here, I end up purchasing whole cases of mates. For BSG I like three of each, two to keep in the package and one to open. Variants I like to have two of, both kept in the package. For the exclusives or individual cylons I like to get as many as I can get, which is not very many. For Marvel, I stick to one of each set that I like to open. If it is one I really like, I buy two.

well, it all depends on if one wants the case of cylons for more cylons or if they are more interested in getting it for the package variations and to have the original case of cylons. I have also been looking for a case of modern cylons. I purchased a case of classic and wanted to get a case of modern to go with it. when I went to purchase a case of modern, they were gone. I am glad I can complete my BSG collection (thus far) in a single week with the help of stuckakid and the kind staff of this forum. TM2 Dinobot, did you want them for more cylons or to have a complete case?

I hear tale of October 10th. about 20 days before the dvd comes out. good move on DST if you ask me.

Awesome, that is what I thought about DCD. But, are there not exceptions like Alan Moore' characters or Superboy or something like that? Where they can't make specific comics or characters? I am afraid I am not up on my DC comics politics as much as I should

The blue thing is a bottle of Ambrosia (booze). It is also spelled Ambrosa in the original series. It is from a number of episodes.
