First reaction WAHOOOOO new DC Mates! And the series is alive and well. So glad to get a Barry/Wally Flash that goes MUCH better with the rest of non-C3 JLA!!!!!!!! I've been crossing my fingers for a while on that one!! All that is left to get my core DC team complete is The Atom, Kyle Rayner, Alan Scott, Sinestro. Also redo Martian Manhunter and Darkseid. DC Lines RULE ALL!!! Wow, I'm excited. Nightwing looks much better with the non-C3 folks as well. I love how comic book true these characters are. Clayface (cartoony but great) and Grodd have just the right amount of additional pieces to make them perfect. Loving the news!! -Vox

Pass. All my Marvel focus is on the Avengers wave.. Like many people have stated, this wave comes off a bit boring.. and I already have 2 Ghost Riders that I never set up or display.. getting a 3rd plus several unrecognizable figures just doesn't rank high on the priorities right now.

Bad news on the Tardis, the door does not open. If you search Diecast metal Tardis on ebay you'll see what I was talking about. Where is that Daalek from? Thanks for the advice on a David Tenant, I really want to make one.. but not much of a painter.. going to have to try and piece together bits from various characters and see what I can get.

$19.99 seems a bit much for 5 minis with no real new parts and only one new character. $14.99 seems more reasonable.. I'll have to keep my eyes open for a price drop somewhere. Pictures look great.

I've recently begun to enjoy the British SciFi show Doctor Who and I found a 5" Tardis replica that is crying out for a Doctor Who minimate. Has anyone here played around with making a custom of Doctor Who? Classic or Modern version? V

What are the odds of DC having a minimate at their booth in 2 weeks at the San Diego Comic Con? Last year John Stewart was available to those that recited the oath.. so this year?.... How about some guesses: Last year they went simple with a character that required no extra parts or even a hair piece.. that may have nothing to do with this year but who knows... Kyle Rayner? eh.. probably not another Green Lantern Wonder Girl? just paint Wonder Woman different.. maybe not popular enough Superboy? black t-shirt.. no cape.. simple.. maybe. battle damaged Hal Jordan? I don't know folks.. maybe I'm just dreaming.. and maybe one of you has more insight.. but as I'm going to my first ever Comic Con.. I'm really hoping to see something from DC!!!! -V

I would much rather have the real versions of both of these characters. I would love more versions of old Iron Man costumes.. or at least the newest one. Oh well, I'll probably still get them.

Steel: 10/10 Just a perfect recreation. All the little details that make minis great. The large S on the back of the cape rules. The Cyborg: 10/10 Seriously perfect.. I want to paint a yellow ring on the guy and have him join the Sinestro Corp. Golden Age Flash: 9/10 Great details in the boots and helmet. I like the darker, less shinny red on the shirt. Wildcat: 9/10 Sorry folks, but I really loved these two sets.. can't complain Batgirl: 9/10 The batgirl purse on the belt was a great touch. Hoped for a black hairpiece without the mask but i guess that was just in the TV show. Bain: 8/10: Great 2.5 size and removable mask. Wish my venom cable stayed in its socket better Specter: 8/10 Great recreation of a simple character, not much different they could have done. Love the removeable hood. Dead Man: 8/10 Again, simple character that was done perfectly.. just not as exciting as Cyborg.

Cool, I figured someone would score some today. They all look great. Well, two more waves to go this year. I wonder why the choice of Barbara Gordon was made for the star character of the series. I guess she is the most modern good guy of this wave. hmmm.

I bet a gold star that little wings will be attached to the feet of Namor. (not painted on.. actual wings sticking out just a bit) I also bet that he will be hitting on Sue Storm as soon as he is on the same shelf as her.

DOES ANYONE KNOW?: Does Batgirl come with a dark hair piece to wear after removing the mask w/red hair? Does Wildcat come with hair? Are there any other accessories with this wave? (other than STEEL's hammer?) Thanks gang. 1 more day for new minis. Vox

Sweet update.. NOW PLEASE give us a totally new version of Hulk and Silver Surfer.. I'm a little worried that we're going to see a "new expression Hulk" and "whiter eyes Silver Surfer" or something.. hahah A defenders set is a great idea and there is so much buzz around World War Hulk it would be cool to see a nod there.. and with the Silver Surfer movie.. why not give him a more metalic look.. -Make me proud mini-gods.. make me proud.

LCS told me to expect wave 4 on Thursday (the day after American Independence Day) Just wondering if anyone else might be getting them a day before? Does U.S. shipping taking a day off affect everyone?

It would be sweet if news of a new wave comes on July 5th with the new mates. Can't wait for that Golden age Flash.

I sure hope the Target mates come out soon. (same time as the box set or soon after) that's the only place to get Iron Spidey.. right?

So if these are to be available for pre-order before the SDCC so attendees can pick it up there... then we should be seeing the full reveal sometime in the next couple weeks right? Or are we just being teased and everything except this item will be pre-order-able. Sorry.. but I'm getting a bit excited for some new mates. If it is a Defenders 4-Pack and they go classic line up (with modern look), I hope Hulk is World War Hulk, Silver Surfer is metalic, Strange is perfect as is (in photo/drawings), Namor... whatever is fine. Man this is going to be a long few weeks to the Con.
