Re-releases, repaints and redoes of characters are a given in any long running action figure line. Companies always re-release/repaint/redo popular characters after awhile because they sell and help bring new people in. Does it suck for long time collectors who already have the previous version....for the most part yeah it does unless the old version was just horrible and the new version is a lot better (i.e. the Green Goblin minimates).

Not very excited for these since there's been lots of Halo product already, but I can see why DST would make them. Halo has huge potential to be a long lasting line and there's tons of parts reuse. Just look at the McFarlane Halo line and you can see how DST can get lots of releases by repainting every armor style in every color, etc, etc. I hope some of the larger characters (Brute, etc) use the 2.5 inch body to give the line a little variety.

New mates look great. However, I find it hysterical that DST keeps covering up the Mark V (triangle chest armor) minimate even though there's a picture of the armor from the movie on the packaging and AFX showed the battle damaged version already. what's the big secret?

The originals work well for classic FF, but I would welcome a set of modern FF or blue/white costumes. There are still a good amount of FF related characters (Annihilus, Ronin the Accusser, Mole Man, Moloids, FF She-Hulk & redo Doombots) left to make so I would prefer a FF wave over just a boxset.

I wonder what the big blue piece in Mr Fantastic/Hulk pack is? Somekind of strechy Mr. Fantastic base? (kind of like what movie Sandman came with) Hopefully this means there will be a redo Fantastic Four wave revealed at Toy Fair.

Why are Iron Man's legs in the new AFX multipack so much shorter than War Machine? The proportions of the figure are completely off and it looks ridiculous.

Ugh..what a disappointing Q&A. No Ecto-1, no Kang, seems like wave 3 is the end for Ghostbusters. Although I'm curious to see what the new lines and ideas are that will be shown at Toy Fair. DST has already done Terminator, BSG, LOTR, Ghostbusters, DC, Marvel, etc and said no Aliens or Predator. Crosses fingers for Mega Man minimates. please please please.

Jazwares has done a horrible job with the Mega Man license and now it looks like at one time DST/AA tried to get the license. Hopefully,....maybe....one day DST/AA can go after the license again and win when it comes up for renewal. stupid Jazwares

Looks more like a wetsuit than an actual suit of armor. Reminds me of the Simpsons episode with Flanders and his skin tight ski-suit.

DST changed the release date on their site for Series 31 and 32 to 1/13.

I'm guessing it will all Iron Man/War Machine variants with the one exclusive character being obscure and only one per case. Maybe the Hammer drone will be in it as well. However, since that is the army builder for the two packs it would seem doubtful.

Here's a link to a list of video game releases in 2010. Most of the big name games (Halo, Warcraft, Bioshock, Final fantasy, Prince of Persia, Mario) already have agreements for figures, etc. However there are new Mortal Kombat, Aliens vs Predator, Metal Gear and Mega Man games coming out next year. I'd be happy with any of them being the video game license. Given the high shipping charges that AFX has I thought they would at least ship the items quickly. I got an email my sets were in stock on tuesday and they couldn't even ship them out this week. way to go AFX!!

Found a full set at TRU in PA today at lunch. Thankfully, now I don't have to go back to TRU. That place is a madhouse this time of year. :mrt:
