Whew! I was starting to worry this set was going to be cancelled. I'm glad they redid Walter Peck's face so now it actually looks like him. They also updated the release date on the DST site to 6/30

The Iron Man 2 Battle Tactics Boxset is now up for pre-order at BBTS for $15.99. Shipping date isn't until May.

I'm surprised DST hasn't released a Kang minimate just to stop being asked about it all the time. Or maybe they won't make one out of spite due to our never-ending Kang barrage. :biggrin:

Hopefully they will announce Wave 37 before SDCC. I think the SDCC exclusives announcement will be out within the next few weeks since other companies have started.

Saw the minimates at TRU today here in PA. They had three Mark IV/Whiplash, three Mark V/War Machine and two of each exclusive set. I'm assuming that was a full case.

A big thanks to whoever posted the item number for minimates at Borders! Local store got them in today and with the number and some helpful employees they were able to find them buried in the backroom. The case had 3 exclusive sets, 1 Hogan/Drone, 1 Pepper/Drone and 1 Mark V/War Machine. Picked up one exclusive, Hogan and Pepper sets and was on my way.

The leg pieces themselves are warped the joints seem fine. It's the same leg piece from the Iron Man 1 minimates. It's a solid piece of plastic so I don't think it would change much from a hairdryer or boiling water. No suitcase with the Mark V.

I ordered all four sets. Other than the lower leg warping everything else is A-ok. Nothing even close to the level of the Spiderman Friends & Foes debacle. The pictures over at fwoosh are better than anything I can take with my crappy camera. Got my order today of the TRU mates and surprise they were shipped in a box with padding. way to go TRU! It's a nice set of mates, not as good as Series 33 or 34 though. Mainly because the lower portion of the legs for the Mark IV and Mark II. They are both warped which results in bowlegged figures. The figures are very difficult to stand due to the warping. I'm assuming it's a mold problem since both have the exact same warping on each leg. Thankfully with an extra pair of legs from a Mark III or Mark II from the Iron Man 1 minimates they can be fixed.

Got my set today in the mail and.... ....what a disaster of a boxset. Vulture's lime wings will definitely need to be repainted. Thanks to everyone for the fixes on Black Cat's torso and Doc Ock's tentacles that at least makes them salvageable. However, the yellow paint on Doc Ock is horrible with lots of green coming through. I didn't care about the Spiderman figure when the set was announced so I'm not upset that he is a complete waste and one of the worst minimates ever.

I am mostly a completist. I've skipped some items like the Wolverine Through the Ages and Desperately Seeking Susan.

The colors shown in the prototype pictures are a lot better than the final products. I just canceled my order for a full case. Maybe I'll pick a couple of them from my LCS.

The SHIELD multipack w extra heads for army building is a great idea. I'd definitely buy 2 or 3.

I too was surprised and disappointed by the answer from AA/DST. I figured at least he would have been seriously considered if not on the list to be made soon. Zemo's been around for a long while and there's three good choices for minimates (Henrich, Helmut (classic & modern)). However given AA/DST lack of villains for many years maybe I shouldn't be surprised. I think we got more villains last year than in all previous years combined. Spiderman's rogue gallery is really the only one that has been focused on by AA/DST. Even the X-men villains are lacking in number. (where are my Blob, Avalanche, Pyro, Toad & Mr Sinister minimates?) Hopefully the question asked to AA/DST, the discussion here, the Captain America movie and Zemo being a major villain in the new "heroic age" in the comics will help get him made. Just in case I think I better start work on a custom Zemo.

Hmmm they just kind of ignored the "bulky arm" question at the end. I hope that is a sign something is in the works, minimates like Hulk could really use them.

And I already got an email saying there has been an "unexpected delay" and the item is now on backorder. Good old toysrus.com...

I took the plunge and ordered one. With Toysrus.com it's always a gamble if the order will actually ship.

Well after a lousy day at work, coming home to this news was a surprisingly good end to the day.

AA/DST needs to put up a new blog post on release dates. Series 33 and now the Iron Man 2 minimates will miss their release date.

Does anyone know if this wave is still going to be released next week?
