  1. @MisterPL and @cylonchaney this is a good yarn you're having here fellas, certainly had me pondering how much of MacFarlane's signature lowbrow stylings, for better or worse, slip in because that's just how he rolls as an artist, or if because of his success with that kind of of humour, his hands get tied to some extent and he has to inject into what is, as I'm glad we all agree, an absolute labour of love for the bloke

also the biggest thanks as ever to Zach for sending a despatch all the way out here to the Trek thread! we should be ablaze with such a development

Not REALLY exclusive, just exclusive to Previews, which is where comic shops and Lukestoystore.com order their Minimates from. So any specialty retailer can order it, really. And they'll be at Diamondselecttoys.com.

And 2000 isn't particularly limited, we just won't make more if we sell out.

    Pre-orders open Friday.

cheers for this big ol' peak behind the curtain Mr Oat @DSTZachi know bugger all about wrestling let alone A. E. W wrestling but 2000 is pretty cosy & exclusive for what i honestly think will be a new minimate angle with some true legs on it

ps i know your hands are probs tied but your illumination would probably be v. appreciated in the Star Trek thread, even if it's just the tidbits and blind items you sometimes mumble when your lips must be zipped

I get it. I used to consider myself a fan of Star Wars until I walked away from Return of the Jedi shaking my head. Then the prequels came and made Episode VI look like The Godfather. Despite my profound disappointment in most of those movies, I found the designs therein to be fun and perfectly toyetic.

The Trek fandom has been fractured since the 70s. I happen to be one of those viewers who can enjoy all of it – good and bad – though I'll admit much of it doesn't inspire repeat viewing. (Sorry, Voyager.) Still, as a kid at heart who likes toys based on Star Trek, I'd buy Minimates from any series, even Lower Decks.

The point being; you can't please everyone but there's enough content available from this franchise to at least TRY something beyond TOS and a handful of TNG characters.

this so much this...it's weird they're not taking the plunge with so many places to stab.

the new VHS style packaging, to me, just begs for TOS/TNG love at the absolute least, though me i'd even love some DS9 love but just incase anyone important is aggregating, i too would buy minimates from any series, even lower decks (shit, even The Orville)

  5. i would never have considered looking in the predator minimates when suit searching! thank you so much wookie, and yes indeed bhm, the C3 joker in the batcave always felt like it had an extra bit of pop, memorable is the word for those older DC faces they remind me a bit of mighty beanz tbh

while that iron's hot though, the chemical warehouse C3 joker was one of my first ever minimates & i adore him, and his big arse coattails (that can help provide support in standing/squatting poses!)

  6. i think if it were a contest, buttheadsmate has the clear winner in his post..and the used car salesman costume is a very cool notion indeed i believe i've all the requisites to try it out! thanks for sharing cylonchaney

to further the conversation as we discuss dapper minimates, who's got the nicest, elaborate but perhaps more subdued also suits?
