Fujis
Updated with Raft Sentry with a sculpted beard! I made the beard from Milliput before the offical version was announced as I planned to make a light-up version ala New Avengers: Breakout. I found the task a little daunting and once the official version was announced I scrapped the project for the time being. I do like the way the scupted beard fills out his face. Click the pics... Normal version on the left vs. sculpted beard version with Captain America face. The beard is quite a bit more texturized in person... Nervous Rex
Hey Fujis, great looking beard man! A definite improvement in my opinion. Sometimes I've seen beards look a little too bulky, but not in this case...fits perfect!

Jatta Pake
Your sculpting skills get better each time you do a Minimate. I've always loved your Tick Minimates, and now your bearded Sentry looks amazing. Did you get a better camera? These images look different from your earlier pics. drgnrbrn316
Yeah, your pictures have improved. Your custom is great as always. I'm not sure where I stand on the whole sculpt vs. paint issue as far as facial hair goes, but if I were to get a sculpted beard, I'd want something much like what you've achieved there. Fujis
hey fujis you have got to give me some tips on how you made dick tracy's hat.. ive scrapped about 4 deisigns on a hat like that and i cant get one to come out just right.. any tips? Well, I would start by covering a scrap Minimate head in tin foil (so the hat can be removable) and first sculpt the hat part without the brim. For the Dick Tracy fedora I used Tamiya Epoxy but I've since graduated to Milliput - I prefer it over Super Sculpey as it air-dries but any sculpting material will do. Form the desired hat shape and once it dries, refine and adjust it using some fine grit sand paper. Once you're happy with the shape you can then sculpt the brim following the same steps - form it roughly and then refine it using sandpaper. Then prime and paint and you're done. Hope that helps! Fujis
Dr. Manhattan from WATCHMEN. I tried to add more muscle-detail in the legs as well as the shading lines that Dave Gibbons uses so perfectly in the book but it made the design too busy so I left them out. I'm not crazy about his Speedo's right now either but I figure if this figure actually got made the crotch piece would just be solid black.
