ramseesthegreat1
Is there any one that knows whether or not these lines like street fighter or lord of the rings can be purchased. I loved to get a Blanka and Ken pack as well as a Nazgul.
drgnrbrn316
No, these can't be purchased. Their respective lines were canceled before they saw production.
ramseesthegreat1
so they melt down the ones that they showed on like AFX and other websites. Because I'm sure some lucky collector out there has some of these that I mentioned. Probably a scultptor. Smooth Real Smooth.
Reideen1313
The prototypes are out there, but they aren't available for purchase by most collectors.

buttheadsmate
humm thats what I suspected. How do you get into this elite minimates club. I believe you either need to be rich or 'bandy-legged'
Shanester
The protos are often kept by the company. Some are found in private collections. I have one of the LOTR Orcs that never saw retail production.
karamazov80
Sometimes prototypes for various types of toys will show up on eBay (example: http://cgi.ebay.com/G-I-JOE-Prototype-Un-R...bayphotohosting ), but I don't think that I've seen any Minimate prototypes available there. . . buttheadsmate
Now Corndog is a different 'kettle o'fish' he was one of the driving forces at Palisades before it folded. Before I collected 'Mates I accumulated all the Palz figures & a lot of prototypes from each of the X-Files ,Die-Hard & Buffy Series' which I bought mainly from Corndog. To follow up on my earlier comment ,collecting Palz prototypes left me 'Broke &...... bandy-legged'
TBT!
Minimate Proto's a notoriously hard to come by for collectors. DST doesn't like them out in the 'wild' especially those that never saw production and AA tend to keep those that do in house for reference. Some do leak out though, mostly from employee's of those companies that no longer work there. T.
super spider piggy
I hope they do sell those Iron Maiden prototypes someday. I mean the ones from Rock wave 2 & 3.

I've just seen those for the first time in 'Licenses Past' & you're right they're pretty cute.
