  1. I agree. I'm a huge fan of the Elm Street series. I even love the sequels. Unfortunately, I haven't seen any of his non-Elm Street work except for the Scream quadrilogy.
  2. Wes Craven, who directed such iconic horror films as Last House on the Left, The Hills Have Eyes, and A Nightmare on Elm Street, died today.
  3. She'd be an excellent candidate in the event of TRU exclusives...just say'in! Agreed.
  4. I'm hoping that Fox will just say "Screw it. We couldn't make a decent FF movie if our lives depended on it," and sell the rights to Marvel Studios. IMO, the best way to handle the FF would be giving them a Netflix TV series. Give them their own series so they can explore the team's origins, flesh out the characters, show us what makes them tick, etc., and if the series does well, give them a movie afterwards. I don't think many audiences would want to sit through another origin story in the theater. I just wish someone would do the FF justice.
  5. I thought Daredevil (the film) was decent. Granted, it was no Avengers, but it was much better than, say, Batman & Robin. And yes, the Daredevil TV series is fantastic. One of the best television shows I have ever seen, superhero or otherwise.
  6. MisterPL, I believe that it is. Great avatar, Turtle.
  7. Have you guys seen the Assembly Cut of Alien3 or just the theatrical version? Ideally, I'd like to see both.
  8. A few quick (potentially dumb) questions: Why are these called "Heroic Carnage" and "Heroic Hobgoblin"? Who is Kluh?
  9. Hopefully it is in the process of being converted into a USCM APC... ^
  10. I once had over 600 Minimates, but unfortunately, I had to sell them. I sold them to Luke. I met him personally. He's a helluva nice guy, he gave me a great deal, and I know that the Minimates found a good home. So at the moment I don't have any. I do, however, plan on collecting all the Alien/Aliens Minimates and most of the Predator ones (all the characters from the first film, anyway). That will be enough for me.
  11. I've heard mixed things about Alien3. I looked at the message boards on IMDB, and I don't think I've ever seen a more polarizing movie. Everyone seems to either love it or hate it. On the other hand, I have heard very positive things about the Assembly Cut. Whereas the theatrical release received mediocre reviews, the Assembly Cut was much better received. I'd like to see it at some point if I have the chance. Most of the people who hate it do so because they were (understandably) upset that . I can understand and appreciate their anger, but I would still like to see the movie myself and judge the rest of it on its own merits. As for the next film taking place between the first two, that seems to be pure conjecture on one person's part. Blomkamp just said he wants his movie to be connected to the first two; the author of this article seemed to misinterpret Blomkamp's statement to mean that it will take place between Alien and Aliens, even though Blomkamp said no such thing.
  12. From what I've heard, there is literally nothing to like about this movie.
  13. I heard that this movie might take place between Alien and Aliens. I don't see how that would work. Ripley was in stasis during that time, and to my knowledge, no one had any contact with any of the aliens between the events of Alien and Aliens. I still haven't seen Alien3, Alien: Resurrection, or Prometheus. Are they any good?
  14. I hope so. At any rate, these look really awesome, and I definitely plan on picking them up.
  15. To be fair, I think each of those cardboard houses is individually painted (I could be wrong). If so, that would (somewhat) justify the exorbitant price. I only recently started collecting ReAction figures. I picked up all the Breaking Bad figures (sans the Gus variant, which I haven't been able to find), a few Predator variations, Freddy, Jason, and a T-1000. I'm mostly going to focus on collecting the Alien, Predator, and T2 figures, and most of the horror series (I'll pass on Sam, since I have no idea who he is). The rest I'll probably pass.
  16. Is anyone else excited about Neill Blomkamp's upcoming Alien film? I haven't seen any of his movies, but I've heard very positive things about his District 9. I hope he can do the Alien franchise justice.
  17. One of my best friends and his buddy did an hour long review of this. Needless to say, they were less than happy. I haven't seen the movie myself, nor do I plan to. I do feel bad for the cast, though. I haven't seen them in any movies, but from what I've heard they're all relatively decent actors. Of course, even the best actors and actresses in the world can't save a terrible movie if the script is bad enough. I hope this movie doesn't destroy their careers.
