hello again, everyone. it's killcharlesdead, but i've changed my name to a more awesome one. i've been absent since october due to pneumonia, and the financial strain of keeping up with bills/mates. anyhoo, i'll be posting as much as I can on here, but as finances are more strained... I may not have as much feedback on my beloved collectables =( so anyhow, i'm back in some form!

I for one wouldn't get rid of any of my mates, just because they got cancelled (or whatever). i'd hold on to them all, and treasure them the same as I do now. I would still post on here, whenever I see anything worth posting about. the general section wouldn't die, as I doubt movies and comics will cease being released as well. lol that's my two cents.

No need to apologize Nervous, I feel you. The attitude on the forum has changed a bit, but I see it on several forums lately. It's kind of like the "me" generation is making a comeback or something. Either that or the age of the members combined with maturity filter is faulty. With me being home for the moment, I've had more time to actually sit down and read threads more carefully. In regards to DST Chuck, the guy is alright in my book. You've got to remember, he has a lot of things going on during the con's and probable get's little rest. Since he, DST Matt and the rest of the team probable have to keep in touch with the office too. My suggestion is let's get back to the fun that made this community and leave the negativity to other boards that have nothing better to do with themselves. I agree with you guys. everyone will more than likely get what they want eventually, so there really isn't any point to going "why battlebeasts, why not ********???" it's absolutely futile, IMO, and it lowers morale a good deal. if you don't like what DST has to offer, maybe find something else to collect? I have made peace that I will never get a deadgirl mate, but you'll never hear me complain.

at least you're covered but I understand your point. if I didn't have such awesome untapped TRU's i'd be more pissed about not getting bullseye >=[

you know, now that I think about it... the hunt is really worth it. because when it boils down to it... there really isn't a better feeling than going down that aisle, not knowing what exactly lies ahead. upon approaching, you see they've been restocked, you tear through them and you don't see it- WAIT! there it is! lol by the way, thanks for all the great pics ivan! much appreciated, you are a saint

oh wow, that's... yeah, "silly" was the perfect way to describe it, T. so on sunday, while hunting for BE/MS (and legos), I picked up lego batman for ps3 at TRU for $20. definitely worth it, IMO. endless fun, I could see myself replaying this one time and time again! but the beast that consumes me at the moment is INFAMOUS for ps3. over the past three days I have got a grand total of 11 hours of sleep, this game is like crack! and after i'm done with infamous, i'm swapping my friend for prototype (we bought them at the same time to ensure we'd both get to play each game)

Forget Battle Beasts, to me the most shocking thing about SDCC is finding out you have friends. Olé. damnitall, I knew you would beat me to that one groundhog! it's not like it would be hard, just a small... thing that could plug into the c3 hole... thing.

yeah I picked up the watchmen bluray, and I gotta say... it was amazing. I thought it was pretty good in theaters, but I felt like it was missing something and uh, the added material from the director's cut is what it was missing. I actually *gulp* prefer the movie over the comic. I just feel like it's paced better, and... yeah. I did like how they showed a bit more of the newsstand guy and the kid, at least just enough so you don't wonder "why did they focus on a newsstand guy and a kid hugging when ?" I also really(!!!) appreciated how when someone (night owl) and even hollis' unfortunately sad scene was great! the movie pretty much solved a lot of my disappointments I ended up having with the movie. anyways, as i'm a completist whore when it comes to collector's edition blurays/dvds (like the blade runner ultimate edition I bought for $90, after already having shelled out $35 for the dvd a few months before), I have to pick up the 5 disc watchmen when it hits in december. it's gonna have the motion comics too, which should be interesting.

me too actually! haha, every time I go to walmart I see it and am like "..." *reaches for it* "..." *withdraws hand and leaves* three hours pass then it's "should I have gotten it...?" I seem to have the same reaction but I know that I already have MM Iron Fist and Black Costume Spidey sitting at home. But the other voice always questions, can you ever have too many black costume Spidey's? I'm pretty sure the answer is no but I'm resisting the temptation, doesn't mean I'll win just that I'm saving my funds for the time being. haha, that's more or less the same reasoning I stick to when avoiding buying the pack. I want them, but I do have ironfist and black spidey as mates. for SHS, so far I have stuck to my very most favorite characters, like deadpool and bulllseye.

Just because I want to help anyone getting out of mates, I'm willing to offer 1-3X the price listed above :biggrin: In all honesty though, it's tougher to discern a price without knowing what you have. For example, Giant Size X-Men is fairly tough to find and valuable whereas a lot of Riot Attack Spider-Men will leave you looking to include them as throw-ins for other deals. not only that, but with mates price is subjective, ya know? they aren't vintage rookie baseball cards or anything so as of now, it all boils down to how much WE want to pay for them. just my two cents but i'd say you have a good chance of parting ways with a lot of your collection here on mmmv, I know I wouldn't mind taking a few of those off your hands

I have some, I mostly stick to favorite characters, I have ghost rider, punisher (and cap punisher), thor, carnage, bullseye and deadpool. I wish they'd make a taskmaster
