  1. Maverick was the next rarest figure, so i bought him the following week. I'll be going back for Deadpool & Wolverine this week.
  2. I'd buy all ALIEN Characters. Hey - if they do get released, we could end up with 2 Sigourney Weaver 'Mates. A Ripley & a Dana Barrett!!! I've always been a fan of her work, and it's kind of cool to see her getting some extra fanboy recognition. If the Alien Licence takes off - we could end up with a few Sigourney’s: 1st appearance; Bald Alien 3 Sigourney; Leather-clad Resurrection Sigourney! It's be rad to get a Kane 'Mate with a sculpted 'Chest-Burster' piece. While we're talking about Possible Alien merchandise - how cool is this Lego Sculpture: And then the adult . . .
  3. Let's just hope DST doesn't have a tooling change of heart like they did with the Octopus' boots from the Spirit 4-pack. If you recall the prototype had those wicked awesome (sculpted) pimpin' boots, but the actual minimate ended up with painted ones instead. Let's hope DST doesn't screw her over and go with the bracelets that Ben Reily, Spider-Carnage and Scarlet Spider ended up with. Fingers crossed. Toes crossed too!
  4. *Sigh* looks like i'm going to have to get TWO Black Widows, so that i can update my Scarlet Spider. Actually, I'm gonna need Four. One to keep as she is, one to put the wrist bands onto Scarlet Spider, One for Spider Carnage & one for Ben Reilly. Dang!
  5. I think Gambit might be a little short-packed. I went into my local Target and found the newly stocked X-Men Origins shelf which had the SuperHero Squad 4packs, Spring-Out Logan Claws as well as about 40 of the 3 3/4" figures. Out of all the figures there, I only found 1 Gambit. They shelves looked like they been packed just the night before. Each peg was full, the display was tidy, etc . . Needless to say, Gambit was the figure i bought that day.
  6. Bummer BlackBolt needs pleats! I never got the C3 mates; Which ones incorporated rubber parts?
  7. I can see AA doing something similar to ManBat for Falcon & Vulture. Where as i think Banshee, Blackbolt & Storm would require something more pliable. Perhaps a rubber cape like Storm's Marvel Legends figure?
  8. Yeah . . . same here. Many Thanx guys. I've found this place is Super-Friendly. I've received replacement parts for broken mates from guys here who just wanted to help – nothing asked for in return. I've received a huge amount of tolerance despite my excessive Meggan campaigning. And i've had something to keep me occupied for hours on end during those long, boring weekend shifts. Cheers guys, Ness.
  9. The Ms Marvel/Ultron 2 pack, along with the Spiderman/Mysterio 2-packs are what have made me start collecting outside the X-Men. I've been on a binge recently & spent bit over $120 getting some older Minimates - so i know the joy/pain of trying to find the older sets. It's hell tracking them down - but exciting as all hell when you DO stumble across them. The Upcoming X-Men wave (i refuse to call it a wolverine wave) Is gonna tick off so many wish-list characters. and yet i'm Still begging for more.
  10. That stinks bro. I'd be filing against the seller of Vision 2.0. It doesn't matter if you were 'lucky' enough to get a variant. The guy did not fullfil the contract aggreed apon by you both. I've had a bit of bad luck myself on eBay. I guess everyone has. I bought a run of Age of Apocalypse comics that were listed as Mint/Near Mint - but wouldn't have passed for fine. And there have been dozens of items that just never showed up. I had a chap sell me a MOTU Hordak Staction figure, who had reasonably good feedback. the day i made my purchase, dozens of buyers started leaving feedback clamiing there items never arrived. Mine never came either. The guy just sold as many items as quickly as he could and then did a runner. I assume he started up as another business on eBay a few months later. After reporting him to eBay, a rep emailed me claiming they were 'investigating' him - i never heard anything more. Having said that - i've boought hundreds of things from eBay that have arrived and been wonderful - so the odds are in my favour at least. Speaking of which - my Silver Centurian MiniMate just arrived in the mail on Thursday. WOOT! I is happy
  11. Yo yo! or at least a MUCH lighter shade of grey. . .
  12. I'm hoping there is a 'back in black' style spider man, with a powerhouse chest piece & a nightcrawler-style tale that sits between the chest block & pelvis block to turn Dark Spiderman into: Although, that'll require alternate mask, chest & tail. It might be a lot of additional pieces for just one character. Although, as Northraider mentioned, they did it for for the recent Venom Mini.
  13. yeah - it looks like it's just a pectoral/shoulder piece.
  14. Yeah - just priced a couple of box sets on there & the shipping was more that the item. LOL
  15. you guys need to remember that all of these boxsets have been limited to that number and there are still ones availible sometimes looooong after the con Jeff of the Miniacs Well - that's kind of a relief. I wasn't aware that the other sets were also limited to 2000. Still - i think this is the best looking exclusive set i've seen from AFX. i wont be surprised if it moves faster than some of the others have. My dislike of powerhouse pieces aside - i think this set looks as close to perfect as they could be. WIN!
  16. LIMITED to 2000 sets Right - well, Nessy is currently in OZ & untll i can find a pair of ruby slippers in a size 13, i'll be stuck here for the foreseeable future. This set looks AWESOME. So awesome that it needs to be High-Fived Has anyone on here had experience pre-ordering with AFX? Are they reliable? Do the limited sets sell out quickly? This set will probably set me back > $65 if i order through AFX online (assuming the set sells at around $20, plus $26 shipping & then conversion). However - it could end up even more if i have to find it on eBay later down the track. If anyone has any stories about shopping through AFX they'd like to share, i'd be most appreciative.
  17. My lcs doesn't get them til' August. EPIC Disappointment...
  18. I'm a bit of an X-Men fan, So i voted for X-Faxtor #1 - the new series. I loved the noir feel to the book & the heavy inking. I also voted for a Joe Mad cover from the AOA crossover - this was the best cross-over i have read & Joe's art really was a pivotal part of capturing this new, crazy world.
  19. Wellcome back to Plastic Crack. I've developed a technique where i can meltdown a minimate & hook it straight to your vein if you'd like.
  20. Wrecking Crew had more votes, and they are just plain awesome. Thor requires villains! I second that - we need more villains in general, Which is why i submitted ALL of the top 5 to DST. But we also need more women. A team featuring 3 chicks is pretty exciting! Even if it is a pipe-dream.
  21. Aw Man! Those Psycho 'Mates are PERFECT. the minimal line work on Normans face somehow makes him look recognisable as Anothony Perkins. I'm in Awe . . . . these are AWESOME! Edit: The Terry Gilliam & X-Force figure also deserve Kudos!
  22. Alright, I've posted my list to AFX. I've also added a 6th place Sorry guys - but i couldn't pass up the chance to ask for an AOA box set as well.
  23. I know it Sinister 6 that won and that we have mates of the members not in the vote but wouldn't it confuse the poor AFXr when you say the top vote was for a Sinister 6 box with 4 figures. It maybe a little kinder to change the name to some thing like "Spidey Villains" I liked someone's earlier suggestion of 'Sinister Foes of Spiderman' for the boxset.
