  1. I'm not a big fan of these Renegade figures for the same reason I'm not into the Clone Wars action figures, but every once in a while they come out with a real winner. I will sometimes make an exception, For instance, I had to have Embo and Shaak Ti from the CW line, and I had to pick up this Duke. I absolutely love this head sculpt:
  2. I got Bastila at Walmart... and look at how little will power I have when it comes to toys. I went to Target and snagged that damn Tauntaun! The rein was broke on mine, it's hidden in the picture.
  3. I found a Bastila Shan today. She's not my favorite, but definitely not a bad figure either. I think I just got excited to come across her and when I got home, I was like: "Why did you buy Bastila and not the Tauntaun which was a lot cooler?" lol. I guess $15 really does make a lot of difference. Still, it's always nice to see a female jedi.
  4. Finally my area is starting to get Waves 15 & 16. I still haven't seen X-23 unfortunately, however I have seen Darkhawk, Namor, Commander Rogers, Ultron, Absorbing Man, Astonishing Wolverine, Iceman and Magneto all at least once now. Glad to see these at last. I only bought Wolverine and Rogers, though. Wolvie is a repaint of the figure that came in the X-Force team pack, but the head sculpt (with the shorter mask "horns") is appropriate for this costume. The left leg was a little loose on mine, but I think this is a good Wolverine. It would have to be for me to get another fig of him. I also didn't think I would be getting yet another Captain America, but this fig is different enough from the others and has a great head sculpt. He is also extremely poseable. He even has the hinged neck that Dr. Strange & Colossus has... oh, and his guns actually fit great in his hands (a rarity for MU in my opinion).
  5. I'm so glad that Franky gets the last laugh!
  6. Ummm... Banshee was in the very first wave of Marvel Legends that Hasbro produced after picking up the rights from Toybiz. Which consiquently, I believe might also have been the very first wave of Marvel toys Hasbro produced... period. Considering the the figure they produced, i'm still not entirely convinced they don't have a bias against the irish LMAO! My bad. I never collected Legends (just MU)
  7. I can't wait for Danielle and Magma! BTW, not only does DST refuse to make Banshee or Siryn, but so does Hasbro! If it weren't for G.I. Joe's Scarlett (Irish-American), I'd say they were biased too. You know who else I'd buy if they made a minimate? Shamrock!
  8. That looks pretty good, fwooshey. I saw this set at my LCBS this week. I thought Jubilee looked great, but the hole in Blade's head REALLY bothered me. This one even had a caucasian color to the inside of the hole. Wolvie looks good, and Dracula is OK, but in the end I had to pass on this set.
  9. Oh, that's awful! I didn't know he said that. Don't EVEN get me started on Bendis. I said some derogatory things about his writing one day and it ticked off my LCBS owner so bad, that I felt unwelcome in his store afterwards. C'mon though! You know that guy doesn't give a rat's ass about the characters he kills off. He may SAY otherwise, but at the end of the day I bet he calls his friends: " Hey (insert name), you're never gonna BELIEVE who the editors are letting me kill off this time! *evil echoing laugh* " It's all for shock value, sales, and bragging rights. How's that for stirring things up ?!
  10. Yeah. Sorry, I should have worded my post differently. She-hulk and Wanda will definitely be single-carded but they are high on my want-list along with that Wonder Man/quicksilver pack.
  11. Nessex, I think the raised eyes are new, but I'm not sure. The only other Spidey in the classic costume that I have is this one, which as you can see, isn't as cleanly done and inferior to the new one ... and I agree. The Wonder Man/Quicksilver pack is far more important to me as I already had versions of the previous 4 characters. I can't wait for that set to come out (along with She-hulk & Scarlet Witch next year). I want the complete Avengers team and these are going to fill in some serious gaps!
  12. Well, I wasn't sure if I was going to buy these new 2-packs, but I picked up the Power Man/Iron Fist pack and the Spider-man/Captain Britain pack. My Power Man looks really nice and has the hinged neck. He also looks like he has a slightly large head, but overall I like him. Iron Fist has a really small cavity that his left leg sticks in and it likes to pop off when your are posing him. Kind of a bummer, but at least this body mold is closer to his actual size and he has a closed fist this time. I always liked this costume better than the more modern one: What can I say about another Spidey, except this one has the new thigh cuts and a much nicer paint job than the Secret Wars version I have. He will be getting center stage, display now. I've never liked this Captain Britain outfit, however, I must admit that in person he looks really cool. I'm glad I picked him up, because I really felt like this set would be an easy pass. I guess I was wrong!
  13. The other day I picked up the Iron Grenadier, as well. That is one B.A.G.! lol
  14. I'm not sure how I feel about the new bulked-up minimates. I'm kind of on the fence about whether I like them or not, but I am glad that DST is making them. I realize that a skinny Hulk (the same size as everyone else) must drive some collectors insane. It bothers me some as well, and I agree that the duck feet were a horrible solution. It's nice to give us better options. Speaking of "bulked up", I did snag the Mr. Sinister/Nimrod pack this weekend.
  15. Well, I threw away the packaging to my ROC figures, so it's hard to remember but it does look a little different to me. There's something about the color that instantly looks different. On the front, in the upper right hand corner there is either a star or cobra symbol so that you automatically know which team the figure is on. On the back of the card it has a new "30 years" logo above a full sized painting of the character. It still has a file card on the back and a chart with the faces of all the new characters. The characters who haven't come out yet are only in silhouette with the words coming soon. Inside the package, there is still a piece of paper with pictures of the ROC figures. It's the same figures that have already been released but the photos look new to me.
  16. I was just wondering if anyone else bought the last Indiana Jones wave that was an exclusive at SDCC this year. I wanted the whole set since the first movie is my favorite, but it was too pricey for me. I did buy Marion Ravenwood off of Ebay, but she was expensive. I think she's sorta va-va-voom for a piece of plastic. The one I received had a left eye that was painted too low though, so it's strategically lighted in my picture. I really hope to get a Toht one day.
  17. I saw the whole collection at Walmart the other day. I really liked them, but I passed because of monetary reasons. I just have to realize I can't have EVERYTHING. Lol... and I am seriously starting to run out of room!
  18. Me neither. I have hundreds of minimates, close to 100 Marvel Universe figures and around 80 or so Star Wars figs, but these three figures brings my G.I. Joe collection to about ten. Sometimes, a figure just jumps out at me and is too nice to pass up though. I'm still looking for a decent Storm Shadow & Destro, the last few just didn't do anything for me. I'd also like a decent Scarlett.
  19. I saw some new G.I. Joes at Walmart today and I must say these look great:
  20. I'll still be getting 5 of those 8 shown. Psylocke: Even though it sucks that she's a repaint of Phoenix, I want her. Maybe an easy customization of her hairstyle could improve her? Storm: This is a more current outfit, not the original. This cape works because it doesn't hinder the arm articulation. I'm disappointed it doesn't have a new head sculpt, but I still want. Patriot: I'm sad they chose this outfit instead of his current one, but I'm happy we finally get a Young Avenger! Wonder Man & Quicksilver: These won't peg-warm at all! Everyone who wants a complete Avengers team must have these two, including me. I won't be getting Iron Fist, DD, or Thor, though. There is a better Daredevil and a classic Iron Fist coming out soon.
  21. Haven't seen anything new at the stores in AGES... but I did get a Bespin Han Solo online, recently. I think this is the best version of Han, yet... and it reminds me of my childhood because that outfit was the one my vintage figure had wwaaaayyy back when.
  22. I got my Dr. Strange today and I highly recommend him! Even if you aren't that big a fan or even have to pay a little bit extra like I did he's worth it. He's so colorful that he really stands out in your collection, but the greatest thing about him is the articulation. Not only does he have the thigh-swivels that help him sit cross-legged, but his neck is articulated the same as Colossus AND his wrists are articulated. He is a new fave!
  23. Psyguy, do us all a favor and go work for DST. They really can't do any better than your customs!
  24. Very excited about all the stuff revealed last month at SDCC. My must-haves: Psylocke Storm (you can move her arms) Kraven Beast Scarlet Witch She-Hulk Punisher (this is the best Frank so far) Kang Wonder Man Quicksilver Patriot Thanos (better paint job) Today I got my Falcon! Dr. Strange will also arrive sometime this week but for now:
  25. I just saw Sucker Punch and think the girls would make swell minimates: Babydoll Sweetpea Rocket Amber Blondie
