The last few posts have gotten me all hot to trot when if comes to ISD's so......... Went out and purchased set # 6211, the 100 dollar isd. Blew my "fun" budget for the rest of the month, but what the hell, it's THE coolest spaceship ever. Ivan- 300 dollars at one go? Now that's a fun budget!

I like it. Maybe an action shot in the future? It beats the pants off of my non-extistant Black Manta. Now only if they made little minimate babies, you'd have one heck of a diorama set up.

Hey guys- I'm looking to buy Spaced, and Danger 50,000 volts, but have no idea about the whole Region 1/ Region 2 thing. Is it like the outlets, as in, can they only be used in the country of production? I'd hate to spend some dough only to received expesive frisbees in the mail. thanks! 616

I'm ok with dc getting "rested," but box sets are a great idea. I much prefer to buy my minimates in groups rather than two at a time.

two cents. Does anyone remeber three weeks ago when the sky was falling because they were cancelling marvel minimates, or am I the only one? If it happens, I'LL still buy dc stuff, because I like the characters. ALL toy lines get cancelled at one point or another, excpet for an iconic few (lincoln logs, monopoly, etc.). I've already been through several, in this short quarter century of life. Thudercats, he-man, gijoe, zevoz, and marvel legends have all been cancelled. It's not the worst thing in the world, and as evidenced by the examples, they CAN be brought back. But just because dc minimates are gone, it doesn't mean you'll never see them again. There's no reason to dispair, minimates themselves are going stonger than ever. If nothing else, just pick up a paint brush! Customizing is a fun and rewarding hobby. edited.

Hey all! The news of a Captain Becker minimate has got me pumped about quatum leap quick customs. Soooooo.... I have a few minutes, and more impotantly a few extra mates that serve as a prize for the winner. What's the contest? Simplicity my friends! Just answer the following questions about Quatum Leap (one of my favorite shows). First to correctly answer all questions will be sent out a handful of cylons on Saturday. 1. c-3 sets loose, just the legos, at decent prices. Go the whole series of miniflyers for a birthday present a few years ago, and mistakely sold the pieces in one of my periodic lego sell offs. I have a couple fins, and a cockpt window and that's it. That'd be my current grail. and man-bat!

the only thing i can thing of to use this, minimate wise, would be a super duper version of absorbing man, complete with wood grain and rivit bolts.

Silver sable's gun. It's shiny. 2. The one ring. 3. Spiderman webhand, the one that holds on to another minimate. Use it everytime I play. Update: Professor X's Wheelchair is the only accesory that has more than one vote. That's interesting.

I've bought a few of these two packs before (LotR) and they were cool, and pretty cheap, but then I got this pack. It's got the one ring for minimates in it! I didn't much care for the movies or books, either as a kid or now, but the attention to detail is just neat. I'd have to rate this up there with the best minimate accessories

This was a great thread, very informative. Totally side tracked me into thinking about rarity. If there's no thread listing the top rare minimates, call dibs. This is going to be great!

Hey- Does anyone else bid on things on ebay that they only half want? I bid on the smaller of the two batmobiles w/ mates in the intrests of killing time at work, and lo and behold, I won. 26 bucks later I now have a second batmobile and two extra mates. lol oops. could be worse. has this happened to you? share a story!

Watch out for downtown, as they will be the most expensive, and high end. Best bet would be Hotel Circle, as it has about 20-30 hotels in one small area, all close to the trolley, which dumps you right at the con. Anything north of say Pacific Beach or La Jolla would be too far. Also consider the SDSU college area, I know a good hojo that's pretty close to the transit center.
