funkguerilla Posted March 25, 2009 Share Posted March 25, 2009 I don't know about y'all, but I think the new heroes and villains sets look awesome and it's something I'd love to see continue. So, for the sake of having some fun and killing time until they start announcing more 'mates, lets speculate as to what the next set of 'Heroes and Villains' will bring us. Remember that the characters need to be big names, but they can be weird variants of those big name characters. Here's my list: Heroes- Extremis Iron Man - a less bulky modern Iron Man The Thing - Crazy mutated circa early 90s FF Spider-Man - ish...I don't know... Electro-shock Spidey? Daredevil - Just an update, nothing fancy Villains- Dr. Octopus - in his debonair white suit Super-Skrull - an Update Bullseye - Update Crimson Dynamo - you know, just a quick rejigger of some Iron Man parts, a little red paint and blammo! Yes. well, yeah, but that's more a wish list for the potential AFX exclusive boxset, which can be a bit more obscure because it's targeted a the Direct Market. I was thinking about the stuff that would show up at Toys R Us. It's a great list you made though. I already voted and can't wait for round 2! Heroes: -Thor is his current outfit; -The Thing in a more Mike Weringo style (with long pants); -A new Human Torch; -The Black Panther (I know he's not a major player, but he is having a cartoon out soon). Villains: -Girl Loki (or the Enchantress!); -Powerhouse Rhino; -Baron Zemo (I know he doesn't match up with anyone, but whatever); - And of course... Kang, dammit! KANG!!!!! Ant Man- As Yellow Jacket villians 1. Rhino- beefed out 2. Kingpen- a little taller 3. Juggernaught- beefed out 4. Carnage- with removable head to show cassidy. Similar to the Venom mini I know they don't match up but these are the chartacters I feel could be redone, and made better then the originals. Especially the villians. I'd prefer Armored. Thor: Modernized. Cyclops: It's been ages, DST. He needs an update. Wolverine: Fine, whatever. He's the box seller, so i could care less as long as we update the others. Love to see some Japanese-costuming going on here. Villains: Lady Bullseye: She's new and cooler, not to mention more current-continuity accurate. Loki: Face it. We need female villains and the Marvel Cabal. Good place to start. Mr. Sinister: Thinking 90's Animated here. He and Scott rumbled. A lot. Silver Samurai: We're getting Deadpool and Saberteeth!! We need more Wolvie "villains," and if we got a Jap-Logan it's reasonable. Now do i see these selling?? Nope, because they are mainstream sets with too many obscurities. Now that the Goblin and Doom are done, he's the mate that most needs an update. Please disregard Powerhouse Rhino from my post above and substitute Powerhouse Juggernaut. I'd love to see some of the characters others have suggested (Darkhawk, Thunderstrike, etc) but I don't think there's much of a chance of them appearing in a boxset that would sell at TRU.
