groundhog7s
I have a customizing question for anyone that might know. I’d like to make a custom and need a rectangular base of something solid to fit around part of the figure (think of Kitty Pryde phasing through a wall). I’ve considered pouring something like plaster around the figure with it placed like I need it, but am wondering if there’s a better way to do it or if that would even work. Any ides? TENIME_art
I've had ideas about her, and I was just going to get a premade piece, like a brick wall for another toyline, and just dremel out a hole for her...
boyd
How thick do you need it? If not very thick, I'd suggest foamcore. With a good sharp knife you should be able to carve holes for your Minimate from it. If you do need it thick, can you make it out of modeling clay? Less messy than plaster, you can sculpt around the Minimate for the perfect fit, and I'm sure you can find a brand that would either air dry of bake solid. Mattallica
or (using the kitty example) if the wall piece is no too thick just slice that width amount off of the MM torso and glue the torso directly to the wall piece
groundhog7s
All good ideas. It's not actually for a Minimate, though, and should have said that I need it to be about an inch thick. I might go with the foamcore idea first and see if I can make it work.
