Well, there's actually some very interesting sociological ramifications that have arisen from China becoming the world's #1 super power. For starters, in the span of a generation people have gone from rural life on the farm in a third world country to life in the city in a first world country. For many the change has been instantaneous. In some cases Chinese law is similar to American law, in that if you are over a certain age you don't need a drivers test. So you have someone who has only known farm life for 40 years, suddenly has money, moves to the city, buys a car and doesn't need a test. They just start driving. Accidents will happen. Does that happen to everyone? Of course not! However, remember the population of China is 1.4 Billion. Even if it happens to every 1%, that's still a lot!
