buttheadsmate
Does anyone here use a magnifier when making their customs .....if so what type? My eyes are just fine for my age but I really want to attempt some customising paintjobs & wondered whether you guys used them . Thankyou. steviebabes
I haven't done any customising for about 4 years but when I did I used an old craft light/magnifier that my mam didn't want. It's a bit big at about three foot tall but it did the job for my (then) 44 year old peepers. If I got back into the old customising lark I would definitely use a similar, but much smaller type of kit, it made things much easier for me BHM. hellpop
I've never even thought about it, honestly, but it's not a bad idea. I've found, though, that I really just prefer doing details with decals, even if it's just something as simple as painting a straight line. pavehawk78
I use one of these for soldering so I imagine it would work great for painting small stuff.
Shanester
I use something similar to pavehawk for precision soldering. I use a jewelers loupe for tiny lettering and such. I've always had a loupe because I've collected coins since I was a wee lad and a loupe is a must have at some point. I also have the same tool Luke uses, but I use it mostly for precision glue jobs. Jatta Pake
I use one of these for soldering so I imagine it would work great for painting small stuff. I've got one of these with a light attached to the top. It gets the most use removing splinters from little fingers but I love it.
Rheul
I use the thing Luke uses... Been using it since High School... Not always for customizing. Man if that thing could talk...
