hellpop Posted November 11, 2013 Posted November 11, 2013 Sorry, my daughter has already staked her claim. Quote
Glantern Posted November 13, 2013 Posted November 13, 2013 I got my case of series 2 from Big Bad Toy Store today. These figures are so cool! Han's Definitely my favorite, but Fett and Greedo aren't far behind. Leia also isn't as bad as I thought she'd be. I just wish they'd gone with a different look for her first figure. Quote
TENIME_art Posted November 13, 2013 Posted November 13, 2013 Case, eh? You wouldn't happen to have any extra Bobas, would you? Quote
Glantern Posted November 13, 2013 Posted November 13, 2013 Unfortunately, no. Each figure is one per case, so each case is just one set. Sorry, I'd really like to help. Quote
TENIME_art Posted November 13, 2013 Posted November 13, 2013 (edited) Lame, Hasbro. No worries, G. I really want the SDCC version, I just can't afford to pay as much as it's going for (I'd have done $50; but I can't afford, let alone justify, $150). I just hope I can find him in stores, and they release the slab later on (with a Tattooine Han). That way, both would cost me $10 less than the exclusive. Speaking of, have these been spotted out in the wild, yet? Even though I already anxiously grabbed my Maul, I'm still seeing all four on shelves. So, hopefully Boba won't be too hard to find (I can see at first, but maybe once they've been out for awhile). I really don't want Greedo, otherwise, I'd cancel my Leia on BBTS for store credit and grab the whole set (I wasn't really wanting Han, but he looks cool enough, and if I can get Boba, then win/win). Anyone want the Rodian for cost if I did that? Edited November 13, 2013 by TENIME_art Quote
hellpop Posted November 14, 2013 Posted November 14, 2013 I would recommend taking the plunge and getting the set while you can, Ten. I suspect that this wave might be harder to come by, if only because Wave One seems really plentiful (I hope that's not because they aren't selling... ). I think Boba's going to be tough to find (Han probably will be as well), and I don't think it's worth taking the risk. The case from BBTS works out to basically the same price as retail, with shipping, which I think is a small price to pay for peace of mind. I doubt you'll have much trouble flipping Greedo if you really don't want him. Quote
TENIME_art Posted November 14, 2013 Posted November 14, 2013 I've had problems flipping hot, sought-after items for cost. I always end up taking a loss, even if it's just to cover shipping. Quote
hellpop Posted November 17, 2013 Posted November 17, 2013 Well, Greedo is really nice, so you might end up glad to have him. The way I look at it, I'd rather have him and Slave Leia then not have Boba and Han, you know? Anyway, Wave 2 is available at Hasbro Toy Shop, though Boba looks to be already sold out. Quote
Glantern Posted November 17, 2013 Posted November 17, 2013 Yeah, I enjoyed Greedo a lot more than I though I would. I'm really glad I decided to spring for the whole set! Quote
Twisted Two-Face Posted November 17, 2013 Posted November 17, 2013 After seeing several of these Hans people are getting, i guess i'm glad i got mine a bit early. The paint on some of those eyebrows is horrendous; i'm not sure if i lucked out or had a different run figure, but my Han's eyebrows are in the right spot, nothing like the Fwoosh review one. Weird. Quote
TENIME_art Posted November 18, 2013 Posted November 18, 2013 BBTS has about 400 sets in stock, with another 500 on order once those sell out, so thankfully I don't have to bite the $80 just yet. Quote
hellpop Posted December 7, 2013 Posted December 7, 2013 If you are still holding out on this series, Amazon has great deals right now on Series 1 and much of Series 2. Quote
stack32 Posted December 7, 2013 Posted December 7, 2013 Some of those deals have been pretty great. I don't love these at $20+, but they're great at $10-12. The constant jacking around of prices by Amazon does get pretty annoying though. Quote
TM2 Dinobot Posted December 8, 2013 Posted December 8, 2013 Oh, wow. Yeah, I completely misread that. >.< Quote
hellpop Posted December 8, 2013 Posted December 8, 2013 No problem. They also have good prices on Batman '66 figures; Catwoman, Riddler, and both Batmans are $8.99-9.99, and the Joker is an amazing $4.99. I was only going to get the villains if I found them for a good price, so I was happy to take advantage. Quote
bigvis497 Posted December 8, 2013 Posted December 8, 2013 I finally buckled in and bought the Luke off Amazon for 10 bucks. I haven't bought a Star Wars figure since 1998. Yeah, these are amazing. Quote
hellpop Posted December 14, 2013 Posted December 14, 2013 I just saw some Series 2 figures at Target last night. No Boba, though. As I said, I think he's going to be real real hard to find at retail. Quote
Zak Katz Posted February 17, 2014 Posted February 17, 2014 I'm trying to win a Boba on eBay, anyone bidding against me? Quote
TENIME_art Posted February 17, 2014 Posted February 17, 2014 Nope, but I just broke down and ordered the whole wave off BBTS. Really don't want the Greedo, though. Quote
Zak Katz Posted February 17, 2014 Posted February 17, 2014 is 6' BS Boba Fett > Vintage Collection Boba Fett? By how much? Quote
Hawkeye's Junk Posted February 18, 2014 Posted February 18, 2014 I have only found one Boba at retail and I visit Targets about three times a week. Quote
Zak Katz Posted February 18, 2014 Posted February 18, 2014 And you bought it?! Here's my deal, I bought Darth Vader from the 3 3/4 line black series and I want a Boba Fett to stand with him. I saw the new 6' DV two days ago and he has a three part removable mask, my dream figure. My dilemma is that I can buy the Vintage Collection Fett for pretty cheap, or I can pursue the Black Series Fett no so cheap, ultimately grab DV and probably buy Maul and Solo. So is it worth it to invest in Black and spend the cash? Thanks who ever answers! Quote
hellpop Posted February 18, 2014 Posted February 18, 2014 Really depends on whether you prefer 6" or 3 3/4". Fett is definitely worth tracking down, and the line is great, but if you just want a Boba Fett I'm not sure it's worth the price or trouble. Quote
